Chairman’s Chat

Hi All ….. Well what a battle the weather has been! With rallies cancelled due to the snow & rain and

having to re juggle Sandy Balls, it’s not been the start to the season we all hoped for. A big thank you to

Barry and Mary for persevering, rearranging and managing to accommodate all members that paid to go

over 2 weekends to Sandy Balls. A big thank you also to Mac and Bev for beating all the weather could

throw at them and finding a spot suitable spot at New Park Farm for the members that attended..…….

So with a bit of luck the season can only get better, with hopefully no more cancellations.

Fingers crossed I will see you on the rally field soon.

Rally Report

SANDY BALLS - Rescheduled due to adverse weather

3 members defied the elements and enjoyed the first weekend, they earned their

‘Weather Bravery Badge’ when they woke up to snow on Saturday Morning.

The second weekend, 17 units were treated to some much needed amazing weather and a spectacular lightning

storm on the Saturday evening. All who went enjoyed their stay, with fun times in the pool or just sitting back

enjoying the sun while having a cold one.

NEW PARK FARM – Easter

Many calls were received on the Thursday morning and into early afternoon

with reference to the torrential rain and the high winds forecast for this weekend, after

speaking to Mac he decided to stay as members had arrived or were already on their way.

We had 13 Units unfazed by the weather and enjoyed the weekend. After the rain on Thursday and Friday,

Saturday turned out to be a nice day and many enjoyed a trip out to Lymington for the market.

Thanks to the Easter Bunnies (Mac and Bev) for sorting eggs, and to all involved in organising ‘The Hunt’ for

children that were on site to enjoy.

We welcome new members Dave and Anne who's first trip out with the club was probably a challenging one but

non the less we hope they enjoyed it.

Extra Special thanks goes to Mac & Bev for Marshalling another excellent Rally in tough conditions. Your

determination to ensure they Rally went ahead as planned was greatly appreciated by all.

Route Directions

From the M27 leave at junction 8 s.p. Hamble. At the Windhover roundabout follow the B3397 into Hamble Lane

and past Tesco on your left. After approx 2 ½ miles turn RIGHT at roundabout s. p. Victoria Country Park. Follow

this road to the end at the T junction turn LEFT and the Park is in front of you follow the V.C.P signs and NFCCA

way markers to the rally field once in the park.

Westwards from the M27, to A31 to Ringwood, follow the A31 until see sign for A338 Bournemouth, follow

this slip road but keep to the right, follow the sign for Moors Valley Country Park,(1.5 miles from slip road)

pass Moors Valley Country Park on your left, continue for 1 mile, see brown Gundrys caravan and camping site

on left, turn into SCHOOL LANE, ( If you have reached John Browns Garden Centre you have gone too far) turn

now and follow lane until the farm, Look out for the NFCCA Waymarkers.

Take the A337 Brockenhurst to Lymington Road. At Lymington stay on the A337 s.p. Pennington, Everton, and

Christchurch. At Everton turn LEFT s.p. Milford-on-sea. At Milford-on-sea turn LEFT (alongside village green)

s.p. Keyhaven. After approx. ½ mile turn RIGHT into New Lane. Site is approx ¼ mile on RIGHT.

From the M27 Southampton to Portsmouth head towards Chichester on A27. Just past Havant look for A259

Nutbourne / Emsworth. Follow this road until Chidham. Turn left into Drift Lane the site is on the RH

side. Look out for the NFCCA way markers.

“ESCAPE FROM THE - HIGH SECURITY - SCIENCE TEST LABORATORY ”

We need your help to uncover a series of breaches of national security to the science test laboratory located just

a few miles outside of Salisbury

We need Teams of 4 Highly Trained Special Agents to crack the security codes and retrieve vital Government Top

Secret Test Samples and Highly Confidential documents

We have Agents in the area who will brief you of your mission but due to the security breach their identities have

been compromised so it is vital that we get as many undercover volunteers as possible.

• Friday night social, Mathematical Connections Quiz (Give your brains a chance - No calculators, or phones allowed - 2 pints x 2 shorts + 1 pint x 3 shots + 3 pints & a cocktail = Double vision.

• Saturday and Sunday daytime “Escape Rooms” Teams

• Saturday AGM followed by Pub Night Fancy Dress –The good Old Days/ London Pub darts, shove halfpenny, Pub sing song

• Sunday – Eve Ploughman’s (cheese, pickle, French stick) followed by Night at the proms

Route Directions Leave M27 at Cadnam roundabout, take 3rd exit s.p.Brook. At Brook, take B3078 s.p. Fordingbridge. Carry straight on until you get to Fordingbridge. In Fordingbridge take RIGHT hand exit off mini roundabout s.p. Salisbury. At the end of this road turn LEFT s.p. Salisbury. At Breamore, turn LEFT s.p. Whitbury and Breamore Church.
