Swimmingly Adam Brooks, a man-aging partner of ABLE Financial Group in Scottsdale, and his son, Jordan, 12, share some “quality time.” On April 20, they swam 1.4 miles from Alca-traz to San Francisco’s Aquatic Park as part of Swim F.A.S.T. 2013, a fund raiser to promote water safety. In round 2 on Sunday, they swam along the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge, 1.2 miles.

Running in TempeAbout 35,000 people partici-pated in the ninth annual Pat’s Run on April 20, including, from left, David Uffens, Erica Kopp and Steve Kopp, pictured at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium. Pat’s Run is the main fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. The 4.2-mile course through Tempe symbolizes the #42 Tillman wore as a Sun Devil.
