Cholecystectomy pts. Show an increased incidence of carcinoid in small bowel.

Sympotms: Flushing, Diarrhea, asthma-type symptoms, R. heart valvular lesions.

If carcinoid is originating in a small bowel primary, then it indicates most-likely mets to Liver.

Tx, - surgical exploration and removal of tumor, also perform cholecystectomy to allow possible future embolization of the liver.
