Liam James Payne was born on August 29th 1993 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. His mother’s name is Karen Payne and his father’s name is Geoff Payne. He has two sisters; their names are Nicola and Ruth. Liam was born with severe kidney issues and spent the first four years of his life in the hospital on medicines and was given multiple shots a day. He had to live with just one kidney for 18 years of his life, until recently he was given news that his second kidney had resurrected itself.

One Direction was formed on July 23rd 2010 after the five boys had individually auditioned and the judges felt that they would be stronger as a group. One Direction made it to the finals where
they finished in third place. Their first album was entitled “Up All Night” with their released singles being “What Makes You
Beautiful”, “One Thing” and “Gotta Be You”. Their most recent album is entitled “Take Me Home” and their first single released is called “Live While We’re Young” and they just released a song
entitled “Little Things” (it’s a ballad). The album itself is to be released on November 13th 2012. Liam takes the role as “First
Verse Man” as he usually starts off the song. Liam tried out for the X-Factor in 2008 when he was 14 and made it to the judge’s house but was cut from the show. He then tried out again in 2010 and he made it into boot camp, where Simon
Cowell and the judges put him in a group with Zayn, Harry, Louis and Niall.
