What does the word different mean?
• Different Means: Not alike– Examples: A dog is different than a cat.
How do you Observe?
• Observe Means: to see, watch, or to notice. • When observing you are learning while paying
attention to what you are observing. – Example: A student is observing a globe.
Putting It TogetherObserving Differences
• To observe differences you must.1. Look at what you are observing.• Write down what it looks like: what color it is, how
tall it is, what shape is it (round, square, tall, short).• Write down what it is: animal, plant, toy, ect.
2. You must then do the same for the second thing you are observing.• Write down what it looks like: what color it is, how
tall it is, what shape is it (round, square, tall, short).
Continued Observing Differences
3. Now you must compare the two things you observed. • Ask your self these questions:– Are they the same color?– Are they the same shape?– Are they the same thing?
4. Write down how they are different or not alike.
