has shown us that it certainly is anything but static. Once a year Malaga becomes Hollywood... and

it has done so for the past 17 years with the ‘Malaga Film Festival’. This year the festival featured 16 films, documentaries, animations, short films and much more, all divided between multiple cinemas including Albéniz, Echegaray Theatre and Cervantes for example. Additionally 140 cultural activities were developed in various parts of the city, like the Thyssen Museum, Picasso Museum, Muelle Uno...The inauguration and the ‘Red Carpet’ was very crowded and the Spanish movie stars created a sensation among the attendees. The Festival was inaugurated by the film “No llores, vuela” with Jennifer Connelly and directed by Peru’s Claudia Llosa. Also we must mention the ‘Premio Málaga’ awarded to Maribel Verdú, one of the leading actresses of the national scene and proud owner of two Goya Awards.The Málaga Film Festival is gathering incredible momentum with each passing year and is a must-attend event for lovers of the movie world; Next year OCIO MAGAZINE will be even more present to bring you all the news, gossip and information about this fabulous event. n
