Director-at-Large (cont.) - 13 candidates, 4 positions available

Candidate Statement: I have over 20 years of experience in real estate in both California and Washington. As a former Medical device sales representative, I have high expectations for myself, as a Broker, and for us as an industry. I was working in California when the bubble burst in 08’ and what I saw was horrific. We, as an industry, should stay focused on how our best practices can make things better for our industry and our clients’ interests. After attending Hill Day and a GA meeting, I

knew that I wanted to be involved in advocating for our profession and helping navigate the future of our industry. I’m an advocate for a better REALTOR® relationship with the community and hope to bring a new perspective to the Director-at-Large position.

Shaun Reese, AHWD, GREEN, MRP, PSA Realogics Sotheby’s International RealtyYears in Business: 9 License: Broker

Candidate Statement: My appreciation for SKCR has grown exponentially over my two years on the board. This organization is working hard to make homeownership more affordable, protect fair housing rights and defend our industry against burdensome and expensive legislation. We can increase our civic engagement, bringing value to our members through exposure and goodwill. Education is a huge benefit and should evolve with our technology, providing dynamic instruction both in

person and online. We must seek and promote opportunities for greater diversity in our industry, so our brokerages more accurately reflect our communities. I appreciate your vote to keep this work forefront.

Todd Shively Coldwell Banker Bain | Capitol HillYears in Business: 18 License: Managing Broker, Branch Manager

Candidate Statement: As a Seattle native, I have been a full-time professional REALTOR® with John L. Scott since 1985, helping my clients buy, sell and invest in residential Real Estate. I’ve been on the GA committee for the last three years. This has helped me to better serve my clients as well as help keep my office mates up with the current events that effect our industry. Our role in the Real Estate transaction is constantly under fire. I feel being part of the board at SKCR will give me more tools

to share with my peers and clients that we do so much more than unlock doors.

Candidate Statement: I am proud to be a REALTOR®. I like our ever growing, changing industry. I believe we can help it change in the right direction — one that helps both our clients and the industry itself. We need to maintain a collaborative dialog on pressing issues such as affordability, upzoning, and property rights. These issues need our support and input, and I would like to be an advocate for our industry

and for homeowners. I look forward to serving on the board to help voice our concerns and be part of the solution.

Erica Topel, CRS, ABR, SRES Windermere | BallardYears in Business: 13 License: Broker

Candidate Statement: I serve on Windermere’s Standards of Practice Committee, and I’m dedicated to ensuring that we as REALTORS® are holding ourselves to the highest ethical standards. I often disagree with the legislative and policy priorities of the Washington REALTORS® - I’m the one who created the petition calling on Governor Inslee to rescind his decision to allow touring during the pandemic - and

the Seattle King County REALTORS® are the most influential REALTORS® group in the state. Please vote for me if you also feel that the REALTORS® don’t represent your progressive values, and you want to start to change that.

Sol Villarreal Windermere | EastlakeYears in Business: 6 License: Broker

Candidate Statement: Thank you for your nomination to Director on the SKCR Board. I am from a residential and commercial real estate family, and as a REALTOR® and Certified Negotiation Expert heading into my fifth year, I am acutely aware the opporunity serving on the Board affords me to help increase the professionalism level of all practicing real estate agents through advocacy and education. A plethora of resources are available to REALTORS® that most simply are not aware of and

through education, I’d like to help raise the bar for homeowners and REALTORS® alike, elevating our industry and those within. Thank you.
