The VARD 7 080 is a versatile, multi-mission Offshore Patrol Vessel. Two ships have been built to this series; the ‘Roisin Class’ patrol vessels, which patrol the North Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the Republic of Ireland to implement fishery protection, conservation, and management.
The ship has an all-steel hull and is based on a long line of successful OPV hulls. The high level of automation incorporated into the ship’s system allows the ship to be operated with 40 crew, including 8 officers.
