ЗБІРКА ЇЖІ ТА ОДЯГУ ДЛЯ БЕЗПРИТУЛЬНИХ

Парафія далі робитиме збірку їжі та одягу для безпритульних. Буде дві коробки: одна для продуктів харчування і друга для одягу.

Просьба жертвувати консервовані продукти та продукти у фабричних упаковках, таких як; рис, макарони, крупи і т. д. Вся їжа має бути не прострочена, або ми змушені будемо її викинути.

Одяг має бути новим, або в доброму стані. На даний час ми збираємо одяг на весну і літо. Також можна жертвувати ковдри і господаські товари. ДУЖЕ ДЯКУЄМО ЗА ПІДТРИМКУ.

АССОЦІАЦІЙНИЙ ФОНД АЛЦГЕЙМЕРА

Багато хто з наших парафіян страждають від слабоумства або хвороби Альцгеймера, знаходяться в старечих будинках або під доглядом своїх сімей. Асоціація Альцгеймера бере участь у фінансуванні досліджень та надання ресурсів для пацієнтів та сімей. Цього місяця ми будемо збирати пожертви кожної неділі для Асоціації Альцгеймера під час перекуски. У суботу, 15 вересня, на стадіоні "Твінз" відбудеться похід зі збирання коштів. Орися Бобчеч набирає команду з нашої парафії, і якщо ви зацікавлені в приєднанні, будь ласка, зв'яжіться з нею. Її номер телефону знаходиться в списку парафіяльної управи.

Зоряна Матлашевська (дочка Марії та Кена Матлашевських) залишає нашу громаду, щоб продовжити навчання в Трініті-коледжі в Гартфорді, штат Коннектикут, де вона отримала повну 4-річну стипендію. Ми бажаємо їй успіхів у навчанні, і її відсутність буде замітною для нас. Ми з нетерпінням чекаємо її на свята та канікули. Нехай Бог благословить її і дасть мир, радість і любов і тримає у своїй опіці.

Як і в попередні роки, ми будемо мати виставки про мистецькі та культурні досягнення нашої громади на місцевому, національному та світовому рівнях, у народному танці, музиці та інших народних мистецтвах.

Вальс та полька у виконанні української групи з українським корінням, що грає народну та сучасну музику. Де б вони не грали, там завжди можна знайти наших людей!

Цей фестиваль має безліч визначних досягнень: культурні експонати, виставка ремесел, дитячі ігри, тихий аукціон, пиво та багато іншого !!!

Цього року ми особливо пишаємося тим, що представляємо наш національний ансамбль українського танцю "Черемош" та ансамбль танцю "Zirka" з Канади.

У нашій Культурній виставці будуть представлені твори української художниці Дарії Альошкіної зі Львова, Україна. Випускник Львівської академії мистецтв та скульптори. Протягом останніх 10 років, Дарія відроджує стародавнє українське ремесло витинки. Її твори були показані у Німеччині, Франції, Польщі, Південній Кореї та інших країнах. Це буде її перша виставка в США.

ВІДРОДЖЕННЯ МИСТЕЦТВА ГРИ НА БАНДУРАХ

Ми, як громада, маємо чудову можливість відроджувати нашу українську спадщину гри на бандурах, відновлюючи ансамблі молодих бандуристів та дорослих. З цієї осені бандурист Тетяна Рябокінь готова надати групове навчання українській молоді (віком від 10 років) та дорослих --- початківців.

Уроки заплановані на неділю в Українському Центрі (перед пробою танцювальної групи " Черемош" ). Організаторські зусилля ентузіастів не пройшли даремно . Багато людей почали цікавитись бандурою. Так що, якщо в когось дома бандура припадає порохами, будь ласка зголошуйтесь. Ми маємо тільки 5 бандур!

ОЛЕНА КУРДЮМОВА ПРОДОВЖУЄ ВИБОРЧУ КОМПАНІЮ

КАНДИДАТА НА ПОСАДУ МЕРА БРОКЛИН ПАРКУ

14 серпня 2018 р. відбулися первичні вибори мера Бруклін Парку. Олена Курдюмова отримала 1025 голосів і була третьою з 4 кандидатів.Після оголошення результатів первичних виборів Олена отримала численні телефонні дзвінки, текстові повідомлення та електронні листи на підтримку від своїх виборців, які дають підстави стверджувати, що ці результати є упередженими і не відображають думки більшості виборців 80-ти тисячного міста. Виборці Олени переконали її продовжити участь у виборчій кампанії мера як write-in кандидат. Зрозуміло, що 1025 голосів виборців не вистачає для перемоги на виборах, і Олена сподівається отримати більше голосів виборців, які впишуть її ім'я у виборчий бюлетень кандидатів 6 листопада 2018 р.

Олена просить допомоги парафiї в розповсюдженні слова про неї та її програму, розміщення на соціальних мережах -Facebook, twitter,Instagram та ін. - думки, чому вона є єдино правильним кандидатом на посаду мера Бруклин Парку. Вона також потребує грошової допомоги парафії для виготовлення 20 тисяч летючок з інформацією про її програму і їх поштової розсилки.

ЗБИРАННЯ ДРУЖБИ НА КАВУ

Ласкаво Запрошуємо всіх після Служби Божої до парафіяльної залі на солодощі, каву і товариство. Так відбуватиметься кожної неділі після Святої Літургії, якщо не буде якихось поминальних чи парафіяльних обідів. Дякуємо всім тим хто готував, або буде готувати цю перекуску.

Нам потрібні добровольці для приготування кави і перекуски після Служби Божої. На стіні біля кухні є листок для реєстрації бажаючих. Чоловіки та жінки можуть брати участь у цій важливій справі, оскільки це надає можливість всім членам

парафії збиратися разом і мати добрий час. Сестрицтво має в наявності тарілки, чашки, столові прилади та серветки. Ми також забезпечуємо каву, чай, вершки, цукор та масло. Добровольцям не потрібно приносити ці речі. У нас також є достатньо маринованих огірків, грибів та оливок, тому ви можете використовувати ті, що знаходяться в холодильнику

РІЗДВО ПРЕСВЯТОЇ БОГОРОДИЦІ

У невеличкому галилейському місті Назареті жила літня подружня пара - Яким і Анна. Обоє були праведні і благочестиві. Святе подружжя Яким і Анна довгий час були бездітними і плакали про те, що у них немає дітей. Одного разу Яким у велике свято приніс в Єрусалимський храм дари Господу Богу. Але священик не захотів прийняти дарів Іоакима, тому що він був бездітний, а діти вважалися благословенням Божим.

Тим часом дружина його, що залишалася вдома, теж почула, що первосвященик в храмі відмовився прийняти їх дари через бездітність. Вона дізналася також, що чоловік її, засмучений і плачучий, пішов у пустелю, і сама заплакала. Анна пішла у свій сад, сіла під деревом лавровим, зітхнула і, глянувши на небо повними сліз очима, помітила вгорі, на дереві, гніздо, в якому пищали маленькі пташенята. «Навіть птахи мають дітей, а у нас немає такого щастя у старості», - подумала Анна. Раптово їй з'явився ангел Господній. Він сказав: «Ти зачнеш і народиш Дочку, благословенну, вище всіх. Через Неї отримають благословення Боже і всі земні народи. Через Неї буде дано всім людям Порятунок. Ім'я їй буде Марія». Або, таким чином (за лексикою св. апостола Павла) багаточисельні "гілки" - представники всіх племен, народів і рас походженням з усуціль неплідної "дикої оливи" огидного і згубного язичництва отримали благословенну, благодатну можливість бути ґрунтовно "прищеплені" до вельми "доброї оливи" спасаючої християнської віри, котру міцно "тримає" її потужний - заснований, добре удобрений і виплеканий Господом старозавітній "святий корінь" (Рим.11:16-24).

У той же самий час ангел з'явився в пустелі і Іоакиму. Він сказав: «Якиме! Бог почув твою молитву, і Він даруватиме тобі Свою благодать. Твоя дружина Анна зачне і народить тобі Дочку, яка буде радістю для всього світу. Ось тобі знак, що я говорю тобі правду: йди до храму до Єрусалиму, і там, біля Золотих воріт, знайдеш свою дружину Анну, якій я сказав те ж саме».

Здивований Яким, дякуючи всім серцем Богові, з радістю поспішно вирушив у Єрусалим, до храму. Там, як сказав йому ангел, він побачив Анну, що молиться Богу біля Золотих воріт, і розповів їй про ангела. Вона також розповіла чоловікові про все, що бачила і чула про народження Дочки. Помолившись Господові і вклонившись Йому в храмі, подружжя повернулося додому.

Через дев'ять місяців у Анни народилася Дочка, найчистіша і найблагословенніша. Вища за все, що було коли-небудь створено, початок нашого спасіння, наша молитовна заступниця перед Богом. Про різдво Її раділи небо і земля. З нагоди Її народження Іоаким приніс Богові великі дари і жертви, отримав благословення первосвященика, священиків і всіх людей за те, що удостоївся благословення Божого. Потім він влаштував у своєму будинку великий бенкет, і всі веселилися і славили Бога.

Празник Різдва Божої Матері у Православній Церкві належить до дуже давніх Богородичних празників, хоча не можна точно визначити часу, коли він з'явився. Про нього згадують святий Йоан Золотоустий, святий Прокл, святий Епіфан, святий Августин і святий Роман Сладкопівець. Палестинське передання каже, що свята Єлена († 330), мати цісаря Костянтина, збудувала в Єрусалимі храм у честь Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці.

На свято Різдва Божої Матері, візьмімо собі приклад з Пресвятої Богородиці. Молячись Богові та очікуючи, що вислухана буде наша молитва, - докладімо трохи більше зусиль та старань. Просімо Господа Ісуса Христа, щоби, зокрема, через праведне й боговіддане життя Пресвятої Діви Марії Він навчив нас добре молитись, постійно читати й розважати над Святим Письмом і уникати гріха та - завдяки й заради Своєї хресної жертви й славного Воскресіння - помилував, зцілив і спас нас!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH:

Thank you to all who have donated food and clothing these past months. We have donated them to Sharing and Caring Hands, because FOCUS has lost their lease and looking for a new place. Once they are re-established we will be donating to them.

WE ARE STILL GATHERING FOOD AND CLOTHING There are two (2) boxes in the hall - for food and clothes. Please donate only non-perishable food such as canned goods or boxed staples such as rice, noodles, cereals, etc. All Food Should Be Within the Expiration Dates Otherwise It Will Be Thrown Away. Clothing Should Be Either New or Gently Used. Currently we are collecting spring and summer clothing. You can also donate linens and household supplies. YOUR SUPPORT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

LOOKING AHEAD

ST. OLGA’S SISTERHOOD

Starting from May to October the Sisterhood will hold its meeting every First Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the church hall. If you are not currently a member, please consider joining us for fellowship with people you have grown up with; having fun and working together for the parish that provided our parents and us as youths with sustenance, fellowship, and a relationship with the Orthodox church.

CHURCH BOARD MEETING

Board meetings are scheduled for every Second (2nd) Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the church hall.

LAST FLING BARBECUE:

Everyone is invited. Bring your spouses and children. The Sisterhood and Brotherhood are sponsoring a last fling barbeque party and game night on Friday, Sept. 28th at 6:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s & St. George’s Party room. We are also gathering donations separately for the Alzheimer’s Association. Pulled pork sliders, coleslaw, potato salad and corn will be served plus adult beverages. ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION FUND RAISING

Many of our parishioners are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s and are in nursing homes or being cared by their families. The Alzheimer’s Association has been involved in funding research and providing resources for patients and families. This month we will be collecting donations every Sunday for the Alzheimer’s Association at Coffee Hour. There will be a fund raising walk on Saturday, Sept. 15th at the Twin’s stadium. Orysia Bobcek is assembling a team from our parish and if you are interested in joining please contact her. Her phone number is on the Parish Board list.

OUR HOLODOMOR STORIES: OCTOBER 28 COMMUNITY

COMMEMORATION

Eighty-five years ago, the Communist regime committed genocide against the Ukrainian nation, deliberately using mass starvation to break the people’s resistance against Soviet authority.

Millions died….and some who survived the famine ended up in Minnesota. We knew them as our fellow parishioners, friends, parents and grandparents. Since few eyewitnesses to the atrocity remain, it is our responsibility to honor the victims and remember their stories to share with future generations.

All are invited to a program to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-33:

Location: Ukrainian Center, 301 Main St. NE

Keynote speaker Sophia Isajiw from Toronto will speak about remembering the Holodomor through oral history. She is the Interviewer for the “Children of Holodomor Survivors Speak” oral history project, the first such project in North America.

MAYOR OF BROOKLYN PARK AFTER PRIMARY ELECTIONS.

On August 14, 2018 primary elections for Mayor of Brooklyn Park were held. Yelena S. Kurdyumova got 1025 votes and was third out of 4 candidates. Yelena’s constituents convinced her to stay in mayoral race as a write-in candidate.

Yelena asks for help from our Ukrainian Church community in spreading the word about her and her program, posting on social media accounts – Facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc. She also needs monetary donations for printing and mailing. FELLOWSHIP COFFEE HOUR –

Everyone is invited to the church hall each Sunday after Liturgy for refreshments and fellowship with exception on the Sundays when memorial services or church dinners are planned. If you want to volunteer to host a coffee hour you may sign up on the chart by the kitchen in the Parish Hall. Many thanks to those who have volunteered in the past and to those who will volunteer to host future coffee hours.

We need volunteers to man and prepare the Coffee hour after the services. Men and women can both participate in

volunteering for this very important service, since it provides fellowship for all parish members to get together and share with each other.

Sisterhood will provide plates, cups, flatware and napkins. We are also providing coffee, tea, cream and sugar and butter. Volunteers do not need to provide these items. At this time we also have enough pickles and olives, so you can use those that are in the refrigerator.

TWIN CITIES UKRAINIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Welcome to the 18th Annual Twin Cities Ukrainian Heritage Festival! Bring family and friends to this FREE event! Get entertained with outstanding dance and music performances, enjoy delicious homemade Ukrainian food, and simply have fun!

As in previous years, we will share the artistic and cultural achievements of our community on the local, national and world-wide levels, in folk dance, music, and other folk art.

Come waltz and polka with Ukrainian Village Band, a Ukrainian roots band, playing folk & modern music. One can always find people dancing wherever they play!

This festival has many attractions: cultural exhibit, craft vendors, children’s games, silent auction, beer garden with local and international beers, and more!!!

This year we are particularly proud to feature our local Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and Zirka Dance Ensemble from Canada.

Our Cultural Exhibit will be presenting works of Ukrainian artist Daria Alyoshkina from Lviv, Ukraine. A graduate of the Lviv Academy of Arts and sculptor by training, Daria has been reviving the ancient Ukrainian craft of vytinanka, or paper cutting, for the past 10 years. Her works have been shown in Germany, France, Poland, South Korea and other countries. This will be her first exhibit in the U.S.

REVIVING BANDURA LESSONS

We as a community have a great opportunity to revive our Ukrainian Bandura heritage in the Twin Cities with the re-establishment of a Bandura Ensemble of youth and adult players. Starting this fall, accomplished bandurist Tatiana Riabokin is willing to provide group instruction for Ukrainian youth (ages 10+) and adults --- Beginners are welcome.

Lessons are planned for Sunday afternoons at the Ukrainian Center (before Cheremosh dance practices). An organizing effort has begun to identify and interest young players and adults, as well as locate unused Banduras that can be either purchased or borrowed from local community members --8 to 10 young players have already expressed serious interest in joining, but we only have 5 banduras available! Do you have an unused bandura gathering dust in a back closet?

THE UNIVERSAL EXALTATION OF THE PRECIOUS AND LIFE-LIVING CROSS.

Saint Constantine the Great was preparing to march on Rome to confront his rival Maxentius when the sign of the Life-Giving Cross appeared to him in the midday sky, surrounded with the

inscription: by this sign you shall conquer.

All of his soldiers also saw the sign, including the commander Artemius, who was later put to death for Christ's sake by the Emperor Julian, and they marveled. The greater part of them, because among the pagan, the image of a cross signified misfortune and death, inasmuch as thieves and evildoers were punished by execution on the cross. Even the Emperor Constantine doubted. As he slept that night, however, Christ the Lord Himself appeared to him and again revealed the sign of the precious Cross which has appeared the day before, and He said to Constantine, "Make an image of this sign, and command that it be carried in front of the army, and not only Maxentius but all your enemies will be overcome."

When the Emperor awoke, he related the vision to his nobles. He summoned expert goldsmiths and commanded them to fashion of gold, pearls, and precious stones a copy of the precious Cross, like the one which had appeared to him. Moreover, he ordered all his troops to make the sing of the Cross on all their weapons, helmets, and shields.

When the impious Maxentius learned that Constantine had entered Italy and was descending upon Rome, he most impudently led the Roman Army out against him. Constantine ordered that the precious Cross be carried before his army, and when his forces

engaged Maxentius' army, Maxentius was defeated by the power of the precious Cross, and a multitude of his soldiers were cut down. Maxentius himself was forced to flee across a bridge he himself had built, pursued by the Emperor Constantine. By the power of God, however, the bridge collapsed, and the wretch was drowned in the river with his soldiers like Pharaoh of old. Constantine then entered Rome in triumph, and the people greeted him with honor and great rejoicing. Constantine gave thanks to God, Who had granted him victory over the persecutor by the power of the precious and Life-Creating Cross. In commemoration of that most glorious victory, he set up a cross in the center of the city of Rome on a tall pillar of stone, upon which was inscribed: "This city was delivered from the yoke of the tormentor by this saving sign."

In the twentieth year of his reign (326 A.D.), Constantine sent his mother Saint Helen with great riches to search for the Precious and Holy Cross of Christ. At that time the Patriarch was Macarius. He received the Empress with fitting honor. The blessed Empress Helen, hoping to find the Life-creating Cross of the Lord, which had been hidden the Jews, summoned the Jews of the city and demanded that they show her the place where the precious Cross of the Lord was hidden. When they began to protest that they knew nothing, the Empress Helen threatened them. They then pointed out an old man name Judas and said, "This man is able to show you that for which you seek. He is the son of a respected prophet."

Questioned for a long time, Judas finally directed them to a place where there was a great mound covered over with dirt and stones, upon which the Roman Emperor Hadrian had built a temple to the goddess Venus, setting up her image there. Judas affirmed that the Cross of the Lord was hidden in this place.

The Empress Helen commanded that the temple of the idols be destroyed and that the dirt and stones be dug up and scattered. As her orders were being carried out, Patriarch Macarius went to pray at the spot, when to his amazement a fragrant odor filled the air. Just then, the Lord's Sepulchre and the Place of the Skull were found toward the east, and near them three crosses were

uncovered, and later the precious nails were found as well. All were uncertain as to which of the crosses was the true Cross of the Lord. At that moment a corpse was being carried by to be buried. Patriarch Macarius commanded those who bore the dead to halt, and he had the crosses placed one after the other on the corpse. When the Cross of Christ was placed on him, the dead man immediately arose, resurrected by the divine power of the Cross of the Lord.

The holy Empress Helen kept a portion of the precious Wood and the holy nails for herself. Placing the remaining portion of the Cross in a silver reliquary, she committed it to Patriarch Macarius to be preserved for future generations.

ARCHBISHOP DANIEL SCHEDULED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE

SYNAXIS OF THE HIERARCHS OF THE ECUMENICAL PATRIARCHATE

IN CONSTANTINOPLE (ISTANBUL)

The Chief Secretariat of the Holy and Sacred Synod has announced that following the previous Synaxis of the Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Throne, which took place three years ago with great success (2015), the next Synaxis of all Hierarchy of the Venerable Throne “from all the ends of the oikoumene” will convene at the Sacred Center of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople (Istanbul) from Sept. 1-3, 2018.

His Eminence Archbishop Daniel will travel to Constantinople on August 29, 2018 in order to take active part in the proceedings of the Council of the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The purpose of this Synaxis is to inform the Metropolitans and Archbishops of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of current ecclesial affairs and provide them with an opportunity to exchange ideas, but especially to strengthen the sacred bonds among them and with the Mother Church. It is expected that questions related to the ecclesiastical life in Ukraine shall be placed on the agenda of the Synaxis.

Prior to the meetings of the Synaxis, to be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Stavrodromion, Istanbul, the invited members of the Hierarchy will jointly inaugurate the new ecclesiastical year on Sept. 1st with a service at the Venerable Patriarchal Church, where, through the intercessions of Panaghia Pammakaristos, they will invoke the grace of God for the stability of the holy Church and the peace of the whole world.

ECUMENICAL PATRIARCH'S MESSAGE FOR THE DAY OF

PROTECTION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord,

Twenty-nine years have now passed since the Mother Church established the Feast of Indiction as the “Day of Protection of the Environment.” Throughout this time, the Ecumenical Patriarchate has inspired and pioneered various activities, which have borne much fruit and highlighted the spiritual and ecological resources of our Orthodox tradition.

The Ecumenical Patriarchate’s ecological initiatives provided a stimulus for theology to showcase the environmentally-friendly principles of Christian anthropology and cosmology as well as to promote the truth that no vision for humanity’s journey through history has any value if it does not also include the expectation of a world that functions as a real “home” (oikos)for humanity, …. It is impossible to truly care for human beings while at the same time destroying the natural environment as the very foundation of life, essentially undermining the future of humanity.

… we wish to underscore that the destruction of the natural environment in our age is associated with human arrogance against nature and our domineering relationship toward the environment, as well as with the model of … disposition of greed as a general attitude in life. …The future does not belong to humanity, when it persistently pursues artificial pleasure and novel satisfaction—living in selfish and provocative wastefulness while ignoring others, or unjustly exploiting the vulnerable. The future belongs to righteous justice and compassionate love, to a culture of solidarity and respect for the integrity of creation.

… The sacramental and devotional life of the Church experiences and expresses a Eucharistic vision, approach and use of creation. …, the Eucharistic experience sensitizes and mobilizes the believer toward environmentally-friendly action in the world. …, creation is affirmed and human beings are encouraged to act as stewards, protectors and ‘priests’ of creation,…Every form of abuse and destruction of creation, along with its transformation into an object

of exploitation, constitutes a distortion of the spirit of the Christian gospel. …

…. The Orthodox believer cannot remain indifferent to the ecological crisis. Creation care and environmental protection are the ramification and articulation of our Orthodox faith and Eucharistic ethos.… We all know that the greatest threat to our world today is climate change and its destructive consequences even for our survival on the planet. …

… Adhering to this tradition, the Mother Church calls upon its Archdioceses and Metropolises, as well as its parishes and monasteries throughout the world, to develop initiatives, coordinate projects, organize conferences and activities that foster environmental awareness and sensitivity, so that our faithful may realize that the protection of the natural environment is the spiritual responsibility of each and every one of us. … It is vitally important that you emphasize action at the local level. The parish constitutes the cell of church life as the place of personal presence and witness, communication and collaboration—a living community of worship and service.

Special attention must also be directed to the organization of Christ-centered educational programs for our youth in order to cultivate an ecological ethos. … encouraging them to advocate and advance creation care and protection, the liberating truth of simplicity and frugality, as well as the Eucharistic and ascetic ethos of sharing and sacrifice. It is imperative that young men and women recognize their responsibility for the practical implementation of the ecological consequences of our faith…in the preservation of the natural environment.

In conclusion, we wish you all a blessed ecclesiastical year and abundant benefit in your spiritual struggles, invoking upon you the life-giving grace and boundless mercy of the Giver of all good things, our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith, through the intercessions of Panaghia Pammakaristos, whose honorable icon, the sacred heirloom of all Orthodox people, we reverently and humbly venerate today.

Fr. Jonathan Proctor has been priest/pastor of Holy Trinity

in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was baptized as an adult, and

spent three years living in Athens, Greece, where he taught

English. He is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand

(BA) and St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary (MDiv 1990), New

Fr. Paul Hodge is an Archpriest of the Antiochian Orthodox

Archdiocese of N. America.? He is attached to St. George

Orthodox Church in West St. Paul, MN (since 2011). He holds

Fr. Thaddeus Wojcik is a retired priest who is attached to Holy

Trinity OCA Church in St. Paul. He also serves at St. Mary's

Orthodox Church in Cornucopia, WI. He is Dean Emeritus of the

Minneapolis Deanery in the Midwest Diocese of the Orthodox

Church of America. Currently, an Adjunct Professor of Theology

at the University of St. Thomas, Saint Paul, MN (since 2005). He

is a graduate of University of Minnesota (BA, 1964) and St.

Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary (M.Div. 1968).
