Sir John Peace hosted a meeting with Midlands MPs, Local Authority Leaders, LEP Chairs, University Vice Chancellors, and Secretary of State Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP.
To discuss the regional Covid-19 response directly with the Secretary of State.
Levelling Up & Strategic: Operate at scale across the Midlands Engine geography to level up the region’s economy with the UK, adding strategic value. The partnership will work across the region on cross-cutting themes and projects which will improve economic growth and opportunity.

Sir John Peace hosted a meeting with Secretary of State Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP, Minister Nigel Huddleston MP and attended by regional MPs, local authority leaders, LEP Chairs and University Vice Chancellors. Speakers included senior fi gures from the visitor economy sector such as the CEO of the NEC Group.
The meeting was to discuss the impacts of Covid-19 on the visitor economy in the Midlands with regional MPs and directly with the Tourism Minister.
