The two days dedicated to industry discussion began Thursday March 21 with a Ladies Day luncheon and sponsored dinners provided by NAB Agribusiness and Coopers Animal Health. On Friday March 22, graziers and industry heavyweights alike gath- ered at Lasseters Casino, Alice Springs, for the annual conference, which was filled with dynamic dis- cussion about the future of the beef industry. Colourful was the leading descrip- tion of both the characters and the atmosphere that surrounded the Alice Springs racecourse that evening with the NTCA Dinner. Sore heads the following day were blamed on lively conversation and dance floor action. Luckily, the conference only occurs once a year. THE annual NAB Agribusiness Beef Dinner was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Alice Springs last week night prior to the NTCA conference. Invited guests were again treated to superb food in a relaxed outdoor setting. In attendance were prominent gra- ziers and people involved in the domestic and Indonesian cattle in- dustry. New friendships and expanded networks resulted from a few shared beers during the night. It was great to see the annual Agribusiness dinner was another success. NAB Dinner Territory Resource Management Regional Coordinator James Wright and Communications Officer Cara Burke dominated the dance floor at the NTCA dinner. Geoff Warriner, Senior Agribusiness Consultant, CBRE, and Indonesia Society of Animal Science President Mr Yudi Noor at the NTCA conference.
