2015 and I am deeply appreciative of the wonderful assistance of Pascale

Tichelaar who has helped me to put this event together.

Paint Mojo Outline Two Inspiring Days of Painting, Mixed Media and Playful exploration with Tracy Verdugo

Imagine. Explore. Create.

Over two days of discovery and play, we will explore new and non threatening ways to make art, learn to

be inspired in every moment and realize that there are no mistakes in the creative process, only

opportunities to learn and grow! We will spend our time creating paintings and mixed media pieces

spontaneously and intuitively, with no expectations, a wholehearted approach and an open mind!

In this two day workshop, we will learn to find our own inner muse, reconnect with our creative selves and find inspiration for our art in unexpected places. With a focus on gratitude, letting go of our inner critic and playful exploration, Tracy will guide you through a series of fun, playful, exercises, encouraging you to become an explorer of possibilities. Tracy will share tips and techniques on creating vibrant, expressive, colourful paintings, using acrylics, collage, ink and pastels. She will gently guide you into your own personal creative flow and help you find ways to recognise your own authentic creative voice.

"Hi Tracy.....I’ve followed your artwork for a couple of years now. I never dreamed I’d get the chance

to learn your beautiful painting techniques live and in person. When I met you in St. Pete It didn’t

take long for me to go from being a fan of your work, to also being a fan of yours and the way you

teach. You have such a fun way of teaching that really got through to us. You gave us instructions,

while keeping the class from getting too focused on perfection. We learned how to follow our own

intuition, rather than just duplicating your work. There were so many layers; Not only in our

I was lucky enough to attend Tracy Verdugo’s Paint Mojo workshop held in Brisbane, Australia. It was SO much fun. Tracy’s a wonderful teacher, her passion for painting and art can really be felt, and her warmth and

About Tracy

If Tracy Verdugo was given the opportunity to coin a term for a new art movement based around what she teaches

she might call it “Curiosity and Wonderism”or maybe “Loosen-upism” or “Endless possibilitism”

When she is not hanging out with her family in their artsy adobe home in a small village on the shores of Jervis Bay,

Australia, or throwing paint around in her little purple studio in their backyard, you may find her wrangling with two

large suitcases attempting to board the BART in San Francisco en route to teach at an art retreat or sitting in a circle

on St Pete Beach Florida listening intently as women share their stories of creative longing.

Tracy is an inspiration instigator, prolific painter, singer/songwriter and lover of the written word, smitten traveller

and soaker up of all that is beauty-full. She teaches her Paint Mojo and other creative workshops all over this

amazing planet and reminds her students of the wonder that already resides within them.

Mostly though she is mama bear to two gorgeous, zest-filled daughters, Santana and Sienna, and co-adventurer in

life with her amor of 28 years, the talented and brilliant Marco.

10.00-17.00 each day ( 1 hour lunch break)

What cost for Paint Mojo Workshop cost is € 275 including lunches.

Additional: Voor een meerprijs van € 60,- ontvangt u: 2 doeken (80x80 en 60x60), een spraybottle, 6

foambrushes, deze zijn uw eigendom. Verder het gebruik van alle acrylverven, inktsprays, ecolines,

kwasten en spullen uit de bakken, als pasta’s etc.

B&B of overnachting: Om de hoek zit www.langenlee.nl of u kunt hier lowbudget met een tent in de

tuin of eigen matras etc. boven, hier zijn alleen geen gordijnen, kale ruimte, incl. ontbijt € 15,- p.p.

Paint Mojo Austin Texas 2013 with several first time painters

What you will need to bring! acrylic paints ( I use golden fluid acrylics), 2 reds, 2 blues, 1 yellows, raw umber, any other faves~ mine

are pthalo turquoise, Quinachridone magenta and Quinachridone Nickel azo gold

*please note it is not necessary to bring Golden paints, any acrylic paint will do and you are welcome to try some of mine. If you are able to it would be helpful to purchase at least 3 colours in the Golden Fluid

in the 4 oz size. Dick Blick.com is where I buy mine

250 ml student acrylic white

spray bottle for water

1 large canvas 76x76cm and 1 slightly smaller canvas 60x60cm (or similar)

White and up to 6 fave coloured inks (mine are flame orange and indigo blue)- I use FW Artists acrylic ink by Daler-Rowney ( I will also have some to share)

apron or clothes you dont mind getting messy

bamboo skewers, fine brush, a few other brushes (old and new)

6 small cheap foam brushes ( about 4cm across from the craft store)

stamps, stencils and other mark making implements (think creatively!)

Please bring your playful nature but try to leave your critical voice at home

“The universal theme of connection underlies all of my work; connection to

each other and the ways in which we express our humanity; connection with

the natural world and the beauty that surrounds us; connection with the

divine and a sense of something greater at work in our lives. My art is an

expression of all that I see and do...a kaleidoscope of impressions, small

things noticed and filed away, experiences processed or unfiltered,

landscapes of my mind, characters and dreams impossible to forget. My

paintings are often created intuitively and I am often surprised at the

finished piece. I love texture and the sensuality, rhythm and pattern of fabrics

and often incorporate these mixed media elements into my work. I like to

believe that we are all part of an intricate and breathtaking tapestry. Our

only choice each moment is whether to be a part of the creating or a part of
