FROM THE DESK
An important update is that the venue of our event has
changed to North Perth Town Hallwhich is more accessible in
terms of parking and about 5 minutes drive from the city. We
are also waiting for a possible sponsorship from the City of
Vincent. The invitations have been forwarded to different
dignitaries and we are currently in receipt of responses. As of
today we have got confirmations from Hon. Ms. Liz Behjet MLC
and Hon. Margaret Quirk MLA, Shadow Minister for Citizenship
and Multicultural Interests; Emergency Service; Bushfire
Preparedness; Seniors; Ageing and Volunteering; Heritage.
The collaborative Eid-ul-Azha project for Oct.20 is also
progressing well and if you want to get involved let us know.
There are opportunities for performances and having stalls.
Three other grant application shave been submitted and
outcomes will be notified in due course of time.
As the new semester starts, new students are making their way
to Perth and require accommodation urgently. If you can help
in any way let us know. The best option is to check the requests
placed at our facebook page. Thanks to Navin who is currently
working on creating our logo. Remember the open days of
universities start this weekend with ECU.
