STRICTLY HYPOTHETICAL: An Exciting Event to Attend
In the spirit of Geoffrey Robertson, Strictly Hypothetical is a NEW brand of community
dialogue about to hit Perth.
Billed as the thinking persons night out they are an hilarious night of live entertainment
for the cost of a movie ticket.
Held at Rosie OGradys in Northbridge, each show explores a fictional scenario, based on
a real world issue.
Submerged7.30pm Thursday 5 SeptemberWhen the oceans rise, the Islanders of Neknus can no longer squeeze into the few
remaining hilltop houses.
Where are they to go and who is responsible? This compelling exploration ofclimate
refugees will have the following amazing panel:
Prof. Colleen Hayward AM, Senior Noongar woman + ECU Pro-Vice-Chancellor
Prof Janette Hartz-Karp, Curtin University Sustainability Policy (CUSP) Institute WA
Prof. Ashley Flair, Anti-Climate Change Scientist (USA)
Mr Sami Shah, Pakistans first stand up comedian, Sami Shah has been deliveringpunchlines from the front lines of the War on Terror for 8 years.

No Halal Food outlet at Perth International Airport
With so much money being invested in promoting tourism in Western Australia, it is disappointing to
see that not one Halal food outlet is operating at City of Perth Terminal which is also a problem for
the Muslims working in different departments. We have raised this issue with the Shadow Ministerfor Multicultural Interests, Hon. Margaret Quirk.
Another issue that has been brought to our attention by one member is that a particular food chain
uses the same oil for preparing French fries which they use for frying bacons so try to avoid outlets
where Halal food is not served.
