Sunday School began on September 11th

with registration and introduction of staff. After assembly and class time, students attended church with their families followed by a pizza lunch with salad. It is never too late to register your child and/or grandchild for their spiritual education.

In God we learn, teach, and serve and Sunday School will strive to do all that as well as bring our church parishioners of all ages together. We would like to thank and continue to pray for spiritual strength for our parents and families, including our awesome young children and young adults.

Junior ACYO last met on August 21,

2016 to discuss future activities.

Some of the events/activities are….

A trip to laser tag

Food drive to help the needy for the holidays

Clothes drive for the needy during the holidays

Senior ACYO spent the months of August and September planning and getting things together for

Paint Night on September 23. After church services, each Sunday (August 21, 28, and September 9, 11,

18), they sold tickets in the hall to all parish members and youth. Through social media and word of mouth,

they received over 100 reservations to attend paint night. They welcomed parish members, and many

people from the community. Everyone loved painting a great picture while listening to music and

socializing with one another. Delicious appetizers and beverages were provided.

The Seniors had a general meeting on Thursday, September 15 at Der Hayr's house and hosted

Fellowship on Sunday, September 18. They are currently in the process of planning many other events,

spreading awareness about ACYO, and recruiting more members.

On Sunday, September 11th, St. Paul Armenian

Church once again provided the Fresno State

Football Team with something they rarely get

during their season, a home cooked meal.

Specifically, a St. Paul home cooked meal.

We prepared Chicken, Pilaf, Green Beans, Salad,

bread and Cookies, and served over 120 team

members, coaches and volunteers.

Once again, these young men were polite and

appreciative. Each one thanked us, many times

more than once. They truly appreciated the time

and effort we had put in, and the food itself. Coach

DeRuyter had to go do his TV show, but did take a

container to go. We also gave quite a few players

some extra food to take back to their rooms.

We also learned a few things about the Bulldog Football team. Did you know that one of our Bulldogs is

Armenian? Stephen Babagian is number 86. One of the Tight Ends, Kyle Riddering, stayed and chatted with us

while we ate, and told us about his experience of going in to a huge College stadium for the first time

The St. Paul crew consisted of: Marty Mamigonian, Jerry Mootafian, Bob Der Matoian, Mike Chardukian, Janet

Mootafian, Ben Krikorian, Aaron Krikorian, Steve Adams, Salpy Adams, Sue Der Matoian, Jonathon Chardukian,

Mike Der Matoian and Matthew Krikorian. They did a great job providing a St. Paul Quality meal. Bob, Jerry and

Janet donated the food we served, and all donated their time to help make it happen.
