I trust everyo ne has had a restful break and managed to shake off the persistent coughs and colds from last term.  As always, we have another very bu sy term ahead so please continue to scan the newsletters each week to keep abreast of the upcoming events. I hope you already have Friday 24 th  October in the calendar for our upcoming school concert   You will certainly hear a lot more about our whole school conce rt in the coming weeks; in  particular watch out fo r details regarding ticketing and co stumes. HOLIDAY WORKS- A number of imp rovements w ere made to the grou nds over the ho liday brea k. At the Eastern end of the school large trees were removed as they had developed varying degrees of disease and had potential of dropping limbs. A full Arborist report has been completed for the school guided by School Council. All other trees have been deemed safe and some further trimming will complete the staged response to managing the vegetation on school land. The Grounds committee are in the process of planning paths at the southern end of the school in the vicinity of the Senior Learning Centre. Planning is also underway how to best utilise our shared oval with the Shire for fitness stations, soccer goals and AFL goal posts. Compulsory Hats From the start of next term we will return to the wearing of a school approved hat. Our hat is green in colour and is designed to promote the protection of the neck and ears as well as the face. Compulsory hats are a School Council Policy, which will be strictly enforced. Children who don’t wear an approved hat will be required to stay in a sheltered area during school recess times. NO BASEBALL HAT IS OR WILL BE APPROVED. School hats with our school logo can be purchased from Beleza Uniform Shop in Rosebud. Our Annual School Concert will be held on Friday 24 th  October at Eastbourne Primary School Hall    Tickets on sale now @ $7.00 each. Please pre purchase tickets to avoid the rush on the night

Students will be presented with certificates at Monday morning assembly.

Prep B  – Mrs Bos  – Lilah Hills  –  for her amazing progress in all literacy activities. Lilah is reading level

7 and independently writing more than one sentence.

Prep P  – Mrs Prossor  – Eden Romeril- for being a friendly and enthusiastic learner. Welcome to our

school!

1H – Mrs Hughes – Ike Taylor  – For always demonstrating the R.I.C.H school values. Ike you are a self-

motivated, independent learner who always tries your best. Congratulations! 

1P – Miss Perkins – Mia Forgie –  For always doing the right thing and her fantastic reading habits. She

reads nightly and is always prepared to have a go.

2B – Mrs Baird – Leigh Rosowski –  Always an excellent role model. Leigh works hard to achieve his

goals, he looks at the speaker and follows instructions with enthusiasm.

2J - Mrs Johnstone  –  Ben Walker  –  For enthusiastically completing extra reading and writing at

home during the holidays. Keep it up, well done!

3/4T- Miss Withers – Jorja Burrows - For trying her hardest at the bike education activity on grade 3

camp at Manyung. Well done Jorja, you showed improvement in just 1 hour!

3/W – Ms Walton – Amity Bickley – Camp Award- for being our first student to the top of the Giant

Swing! Amity had a great attitude and showed her manners throughout Camp Manyung.

4/5S – Miss Staley – 

5Q – Miss Quintin –  Beau Braithwaite –  Welcome to Tootgarook Primary School Beau. You’ve already

made some great friends in our learning space. Keep smiling!

6B – Mrs Bruin- Braydon Mullineaux- Welcome to Tootgarook Primary School. You have settled in

quickly to our class and made many new friends. Well done for helping out with lunchtime soccer too.

You are a valued member of our class.

Art – Miss Davey –  Matthew Jones – 2B –  for working consistently and cooperatively on his wooden
