Minutes of the Virtual Meeting of the Parochial Church Council

Monday 18th January 2021, 6.00pm (via Zoom)

1. The meeting was opened by Revd Andrew Micklefield with a bible reading and a short prayer.

2. Apologies were received from: Tori Hewitt (TH) , John Vivian (JV) and Colin Aiken (CA)

3. Minutes of last PCC meeting, held on the 14th December 2020 were approved .

4. Matters Arising – there were no matters arising.

5 . Safeguarding UpdateSeveral DBS checks have taken place recently, including BCM course attendees. AM to ask SallyKemp to check we are up to date on all the paperwork.

6. Update on Church Buildings� St Peter’s

Roofing project is ongoing. Bell and bellcote now being repaired and painted . Roof sheetingto be taken off which may reveal other issues but don’t know yet. Working with TonyNorfolk who will carry out the roof repairs who may be able to help with other church roofsand gutter clearance.

� Holy RoodAA, KO and GR will meet tomorrow on Zoom to discuss QI report and repairs needed. Stillawaiting an updated roof quote following Simon Goddard’s comments .

Side Gate onto Church Lane – have a couple of quotes but needs to go to DAC for approval .

� St LawrenceHole in graveyard, and by slab by entrance to Galilee Chapel. Simon Goddard and team aredealing with hole in graveyard but not heard anything yet but won’t need faculty. Contractor
