ReCAP is our time to Remember, Celebrate, and Proclaim. It is an opportunity to pause and look back to where residents have come from, celebrate successes, and proclaim hope for their future. ReCAP is not the marker at the end of a journey, but a milestone along the way. In the spring of 2016, HopeHouse OKC celebrated four families at ReCAP.

Graduate Highlights Cassie: After a long road towards reunification, Cassie’s son is finally

home! Cassie secured full-time employment at a company with benefits, obtained her GED, and purchased a vehicle.

Uniqua: Uniqua came into HopeHouse determined to change the trajectory of her life. She obtained her GED, is attending college to eventually become an RN, and is now confident in her ability to parent her two kids.

Tony and Shari: Tony and Shari got married while at HopeHouse OKC. They now live in their own home and support their two boys and a newborn baby. Tony has also recently been promoted at his job!

Lauren: When Lauren came to HopeHouse, we knew she was capable of much more than she believed. She is now living in a ForeverHOME, works full time making well over minimum wage, and was inducted into National Honor Society at school.

We are grateful for our partnership with Tapstone Energy for working with our residents to gain job

skills. Cassie was able to complete Microsoft training, participate in mock interviews, obtain job search training, shadow Executive Assistants, work at the front desk, and create a professional resume and cover letter—something Cassie has

never had before! Tapstone has poured love, time, and energy into Cassie, and we appreciate them for

being willing to comealongside her until she was able to find full time employment.

Partnership Holly Doane began in March as our new Family Coordinator. Holly graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education, and she has spent the last several years working as a Case Manager for various organizations in Oklahoma City. Holly loves getting to know people and encouraging them to live a better story. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Bruce, and the kids they mentor. We have enjoyed having her as a part of our team!
