Smart CID
– Web Based Unified Experience - simplified, progressive and dynamic.
– User-friendly and Intuitive Interface.
– Built-in Validations – to ensure that information entered is complete and accurate.
– Auto-generated XML files.
– Centralized Information - single place to store and retrieve information.
– Inline Help - progressively discloses the required information – guiding users to provide the right data in the right field.
3
Key Features
Centralized Information
– Smart CID is Web-based and is accessible* from a Web browser.
– Customers* can access Smart CID too.
– Multiple people can collaborate by entering or updating a CID on the Web.
– Auto-generated validation files are available centrally – for Integration Centers and can be reused at any time.
*Valid credentials are required to access CIDs in Smart CID.
4
Key Features
CID Simplified
– Information is grouped logically in tabs on the dashboard.
– Smart CID displays only the relevant forms for a given solution.
– If there are inter-dependencies across forms, Smart CID redirects users to fill CID information in the correct sequence.
Validations
Smart CID has built in validations that check if the CID information is complete and in the right format. Some examples are:
– All required information is filled in the right place.
– IP address formats, duplicate IP addresses, hostnames (character length, dots, hyphens, underscores)
– Email ID and phone number formats
5
Key Features
Collaboration
Smart CID allows users to collaborate with each other to enter the right information for each CID.
– Every CID has sections to enter Customer contact information and HP contact information.
– Every email ID entered in these sections can access the CID.
– These CIDs are visible in the user dashboard.
– Every time a CID is created or submitted, an email is sent to all the email IDs in each contact section.

Cloning, Deleting and Archiving CIDs
40
Cloning, deleting and archiving CIDs
Cloning a CID
– Cloning a CID replicates all the information from one CID to another.
– Order number is not replicated – a cloned CID needs a new order number.
– Attachments are not copied from one CID to another.
Deleting a CID
– Deleting a CID removes the CID from the Profile CIDs list.
Archiving a CID
– Old and submitted CIDs can be archived. This moves these CIDs from Profile CIDs page to Archived CID page.
Tip:
– Create a “template” for each configuration and clone them to change only required sections of the cloned CID.
You can only clone CIDs to replicate an existing CID. You cannot close across solutions:
• Scale up to Scale out• 128 GB to 1TB
Cloning, deleting and archiving CIDs
Clone CID• Replicates all the
information from one CID to a new CID.
• Only HPE Order number and attachments are not copied.
