OVERVIEWJahns Designs is a young company but with almost 10 years of experience in the design industry. Founded in 2016, Jahns Designs was created out of a need for bold, professional design without the red-tape of a large design firm. We excel at creating high-end designs with the personal touch of a small business. Our office is located in Downtown Long Beach and is quickly becoming a premier design firm in the area as we are working with the local DLBA and surrounding businesses.

We are an award-winning design company with our client’s recent acceptance as the 2018 NurtAward for “Best Finished Product”. Additionally the CEO, Ian Jahns, was the lead 3D Designer and Project Manager for the 2013 America’s Cup event held in San Francisco, CA. His designs and 3D structures were built and installed as the signature design pieces for the duration of the event. Now we have taken that experience and skill to create a unique experiential design company here in Southern California.

POSTER SERIESINITIAL CONCEPTSThe Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) reached out to us to re-brand and launch a 5-part series for their monthly event “Live After 5”.

Their goal was to create a cohesive look and feel for series while showing how each month has something new to offer.

We chose a consistent look for content and brand recognition through the logo and copy. However we elevated the color and imagery to showcase the individuality of each separate event.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMSPRINT-READY FILESWe love working directly with printing houses when designing. It allows us to tailor-make the design fi les to the specifi c qualifi cations of that individual printer.

This project was to create a program that could be mass-produced for an education program. The previous design was individually taped and distributed by the owner.

This new design (working directly with our print-er) allowed for ease of manufacturing, while improving the visuals and information for easy consumption.
