Planning the installationThe machine information from the website, along with the alarm/accessory sheet, will help to provide information

on where the unit is best mounted along with any specific customer requirements. These should be used as a guide.

Always plan the physical position for all the alarm components prior to installation. If there is any doubt on panel fit,ALWAYS temporarily mount the unit and refit the panel prior to wiring the alarm. Once the alarm has been installed itmay be impossible to move the position to a new location. A few moments spent checking at this point can saveseveral hours of re�working. When selecting the alarm position do not forget the connector block protection housing.

Where possible always use the bracket assembly supplied with the kit, but if this is not possible alternative methodssuch as cable ties, double sided tape, heavy duty double sided velcro, etc can be used.

3 Moto Alarm System

The alarm components should be located to ensure the maximum time is required for the thief to access thesystem.

Other factors such as the storage of customer’s personal belongings and other equipment such as intercoms,chain oilers, etc should also be considered.

Only when the main unit positions have been established, should the wiring be investigated.

Wiring Description

Main positive and negative connections

MAIN POSITIVE SUPPLY (Red tagged wire)Many machines are now provided with a dedicated 12 Volt positive feed designed to power the alarm system.

Alternatives can be the fuel injection fuse, clock or fan fuse. The rating of this fuse should be between 10 and 20 amps.If the rating is below this the fuse may blow when indicators flash via the alarm system. It is normally safe to increasethe rating of this OE fuse by a small margin (e.g. 7.5 amps to 10amps).

The alarm is equipped with internal protection to deal with shorts on the indicators but it is always advisable to fita protection fuse as this protects the wiring from the fuse to the alarm unit itself. Where possible the fuse should befitted as close as possible to the source of power. The supply should never be taken directly from the battery.

MAIN NEGATIVE SUPPLIES (Black tagged Wires)Two ground wires are for immobilisation safety, as the alarm system would have to lose both earths before there

was a potential problem with the immobilisation. For the same reason it is very important these two wires are connectedto two separate points on the machine.

These points can be on the frame or within the wiring harness but should never be mixed and never taken directlyto the battery. Any harness based earth should be tested to ensure it is a true earth and does not change when theignition is turned on and switches are operated. If unsure refer to the machine’s wiring diagram.

We advise the use of harness�based earths in most cases. Frame earths, especially on anodized frames, can bevery poor.

Immobilisation

The Starter cut (Yellow tagged wires)Identify the wire, which controls the starter relay (maximum load 7 amps) and cut it. Where possible remove a

section of the original cable and rejoin this wire via the 2 Yellow tagged wires of the alarm harness (one to the starterrelay end and one to the main harness end). These wires are non�directional so it doesn’t matter which Yellow wire isconnected to the relay end or the harness end.

Under no circumstances should the heavy�duty wire, which powers the Starter motor itself, be cut.

On most machines the starter trigger will be a Positive when the ignition is turned on and the Starter button ispressed, however this is not always the case. Many scooters and nearly all Yamaha motorcycle control the starter relayvia a Negative signal when the starter button is pressed.

The Engine cut (White and White/Red or White and White/Green wires)

There are two main means of immobilising a machine, the first and most common is by cutting a wire which isessential to the running of the machine (DC cut method), the second is by earthing out a signal wire so the ignitionsystem cannot create the spark needed for the engine to run (AC ‘earth out’ method). Which ever method is used theimmobilisation point should be made as inaccessible as possible. One immobiliser wire will always be unused dependingon the method of immobilisation. The spare wire should be removed from the alarm/immobiliser harness.

DC Method

Identify a wire, which is critical to the engine operating, but which is carrying less than 7 amps and cut it. Withmodern machines it is normally wise to use either the dedicated immobilisation points provided by the manufactureror to use an engine safety interlock (e.g. Side stand switch, Kill switch, Fall over sensor, etc). Other circuits, such asthe fuel pump relay, ignition pack, coils, etc, may be used but refer to the manufacturers manual before using thesecircuits as they may cause the machine to log running faults.

Where possible remove a section of the original cable and rejoin this wire via the White and White/Green wire.These wires are non�directional so it doesn’t matter which wire of the alarm is connected to which end of the cut wire.

Функция 8. Включение тревоги от датчика удара.Заводская установка функции: Первый удар – предупредительное срабатывание, второй удар не позднее,

чем через 2 минуты после первого – полная тревога (режим №2).Для изменения режима включения тревоги от датчика удара:

1. Выберите функцию 8. Последуют 8 сигналов сирены.2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта. Сирена подаст тройной звуковой сигнал. Светодиод системы обозначит

номер установленного режима соответствующим количеством вспышек.3. Для выбора режима нажмите любую кнопку пульта. Светодиод соответствующим количеством вспышек

обозначит номер выбранного режима. Выберите режим согласно приведенной ниже таблице:

4. Выбрав необходимый режим, нажмите обе кнопки пульта для подтверждения и выхода из режима уста�новки.

Снятие аккумулятораВы можете отключить аккумулятор мотоцикла, когда сигнализация находится в режиме иммобилайзера

или в зимнем режиме, тревога при этом не включится.Так как блок сигнализации имеет внутренний аккумулятор автономного питания, то снятие аккумулятора,

когда сигнализация находится в режиме полной охраны, приведет к включению тревоги.Рекомендуется: Перед снятие аккумулятора перевести сигнализацию в зимний режим.

D.C. Immobilisation

The wire to be immobilised is cut and rejoined via the White and White/Green wires.The White/Red wire is not used.

AC Method

Identify the wire which when earthed out stops the ignition pack creating a spark. This wire normally runs from theIgnition switch and/or Kill switch to the ignition pack and will have an earth on it when the machine is not running andbe isolated, have a minimal earth on it or be pulsing when the machine is running.

Connect either the White or White/Red wire to a suitable good earth supply and the remaining wire to the enginekill wire.

When the immobiliser circuit is armed the engine kill wire will be earthed out via the immobiliser circuit and hencewill not run.

� Если угол выбран правильно, через 3 секунды последует длинный звуковой сигнал.� При необходимости повторить тест, верните мотоцикл в начальное положение и снова нажмите серую

кнопку.� Если Вы хотите изменить настройку, нажмите черную кнопку и повторите тест.

После установки необходимой чувствительности, нажмите обе кнопки одновременно для подтверждения.

Функция 5. Настройка датчика удара.Датчик удара имеет 10 уровней чувствительности. Заводская установка – уровень 8.Независимо от установленного уровня чувствительности, режим включения тревоги от датчика удара мож�

но выбрать функцией 8.

Для настройки чувствительности датчика выполните следующую процедуру:1. Выберите функцию 5. Сирена подаст 5 звуковых сигналов.2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта для входа в режим настройки.3. Сирена подаст тройной сигнал, и светодиод системы будет мигать сериями вспышек соответствующими

установленной чувствительности.4. Для увеличения чувствительности нажимайте серую кнопку, для уменьшения – черную. Каждый раз при

нажатии кнопки будет раздаваться сигнал сирены, и количество вспышек в серии будет меняться.5. При достижении максимального или минимального уровня чувствительности звуковые сигналы прекра�

тятся.Проверка уровня чувствительности:Для проверки чувствительности датчика стукните по мотоциклу. Если уровень чувствительности достаточ�

ный для восприятия удара приложенной силы, последует серия звуковых сигналов. Проверку можно прово�дить несколько раз, однако, между ударами должен быть перерыв не менее 5 секунд для успокоения датчика.Если уровень чувствительности неудовлетворительный продолжите настройку серой или черной кнопкой.

Когда необходимый уровень достигнут, нажмите обе кнопки для подтверждения и выхода из режима на�стройки.

Функция 6. Звуковые сигналы подтверждения.Для включения звуковых сигналов подтверждения постановки/снятии с охраны:

1. Выберите функцию 6. Сирена подаст 6 сигналов.2. Нажмите обе кнопки на пульте управления. Сирена подаст тройной звуковой сигнал. Светодиод системы

будет выключен.

A C Immobilisation

The wire being immobilised is ‘earthed out’ to stop the machine running.The White tagged wire of the alarm is connected to earth.The White/Red tagged wire is connected to the wire being immobilised.The White/Green wire is not used

The 12 volt positive ignition switched supply (Brown tagged wire)

This wire stops the alarm from arming when the ignition is turned ON. It also is used to pull the immobilisation relaycontact together when the system is disarmed and the ignition is ON.

It is important the wire remains positive when all the machines controls are operated. Should the power fall awayfrom this wire the machine will cut out. For this reason we advice you connect to an ignition switched positive supplywhich is run critical. In this way if the power to this wire fails the machine would stop anyway and therefore supplytaken becomes as safe as the machine itself.

One exception to this is using a kill switched controlled ignition supply. Should this supply be used it is O.K. but itmust be explained to the customer that the immobiliser will arm if the kill switch is turned to OFF.

Many installers use other circuits (e.g. the rear brake light supply). Whilst this will work it should be realized if thefuse blows to this circuit (possibly due to a fault on the machine itself) the machine would stop and as the OE fuseblown is not related to the running of the machine in the standard form the customer may not find it easily.

The Indicator connections (2 x Pink tagged wires)

The alarm system should be connected to the Left and Right indicator positive feeds. Do not connect to thenegative wire of the indicator. On some machines you may only be able to make the rear or front indicators operatewithout the inclusion of extra diodes into the indicator outputs of the alarm system.

Описание установочного программированияФункция 1. Удаление кодов пультов управления из памяти системы.Каждый раз при снятии с охраны светодиод системы сериями вспышек показывает количество пультов

управления, записанных в память сигнализации (максимально – 6). При необходимости удалить неиспользу�емые или потерянные пульты управления из памяти системы выполните следующие действия:

1. Выберите функцию 1, нажимая серую или черную кнопку пульта (сирена подаст звуковой сигнал низкоготона).

2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта одновременно. Двойной звуковой сигнал подтвердит удаление кодов всехпультов, кроме использованного.

3. Нажмите любую кнопку пульта для выхода из процедуры удаления и перехода к функции 2.

Функция 2. Возврат к заводским установкам.С помощью этой функции в заводские установки возвращаются как установочные так и пользовательские

функции. Для возврата к заводским установкам выполните следующую процедуру:1. Выберите функцию 2 (сирена подаст два звуковых сигнала низкого тона).2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта одновременно. Двойной звуковой сигнал подтвердит возврат всех функций к

заводским установкам.3. Нажмите серую кнопку для выхода из функции 2 и переходу к функции 3 или нажмите черную кнопку для

перехода к функции 1.4. Если для выхода из функции Вы нажмете обе кнопки пульта одновременно, Вы выйдете из функции, но

останетесь на той же позиции.

Функция 3. Память тревог.Эта функция позволяет посмотреть причины 5 последних тревог в обратной последовательности. Индика�

ции производится сериями вспышек светодиода системы. Каждому событию соответствует своя серия:

Для проведения диагностики выполните следующую процедуру:1. Выберите функцию 3. Светодиод покажет причину последней тревоги.2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта. Светодиод по�прежнему будет показывать причину последней тревоги.3. Чтобы посмотреть причины предшествующих тревог, нажимайте серую кнопку. Каждое нажатие серой

кнопки вызовет переход на одну тревогу назад.4. После индикации всех пяти тревог система возвращается к первой.5. При необходимости очистить память тревог нажмите черную кнопку.6. Для выхода из функции нажмите обе кнопки одновременно.

Функция 4. Настройка датчика наклона.Датчик наклона имеет 4 уровня чувствительности. Заводская установка – отклонение в 30 от положения, в

котором был включен режим охраны.

(Care: There is a third wire within the machine which will flash which ever way the indicator switch is set when theignition is on. This wire is the output from the indicator relay to the indicator switch and you must not connect the pinkwires of the alarm system to this).

Dioding the Indicator relayDuring testing you may have found the indicator relay requires an in�line diode to be installed. It is important this

is done. Omitting this may cause the alarm fuse to blow at a later date and potentially leave the customer stranded.

The diode can be fitted in either the feed to the relay from the fuse box or the output from the relay to the indicatorswitch, it doesn’t matter which as long as it is connected the correct way round.

The input wire will be an ignition switched positive from the fuse box to the indicator relay. If this wire is cut theband on the diode should face towards the relay.

The output wire is the third wire within the harness, described above. This wire flashes whether the indicator switchis set to the left or right, not just left or just right. When this wire is cut the diode is positioned with the band facing awayfrom the relay.

If you are unsure which way to fit the diode, cut the selected wire, hold the diode in line and with the ignition on setthe indicator to the left or right. If the indicators work normally, you have got it the right way round. If they do notreverse the diode and test again.

Once you have it the right way round, solder it in line and protect the joints with heat shrink or good quality tape.

По окончании серии звуковых сигналов обозначающих номер выбранной функции, для облегчения проце�дуры программирования, светодиод показывает ее текущую установку, даже если функция не выбрана дляизменения.

Для входа в режим изменения выбранной функции, нажмите одновременно обе кнопки пульта.Когда необходимая установка выбрана, нажмите обе кнопки еще раз для подтверждения и возврата в

таблицу программирования.Предупреждение: Нажимая серую кнопку пульта управления Вы будете переходить к следующей функ�

ции, а нажимая черную кнопку – возвращаться к предыдущей. Однако если Вы, достигнув функции №8, на�жмете серую кнопку, система выйдет из установочного программирования и вернется к функции №1 пользо�вательского программирования. Если Вы ошибочно выполнили эту операцию, не закончив установочного про�граммирования, снова дойдите до функции №3 пользовательского программирования и повторите процеду�ру входа в установочное программирование, описанную выше.

Для выхода из программирования просто выключите зажигание.

Alarm protection switch (Green/Black and Green/Red wires)

The kit comes supplied with a magnetic reed switch for this purpose. Other switches such as Micro switches canbe substituted for this switch if required.

The switching arrangement is change of state and basically the Green/Red wire is the trigger line and the Green/Black wire is an earth supplied from the alarm. When armed if the earth is applied or removed from the Green/Red wirethe alarm will trigger.

Fit the magnetic reed switch so the alarm would be triggered by the removal of a seat or body panel before thealarm ECU is accessed.

Choose an area where the switch and magnet can be placed in close proximity to each other. When correctlyoriented the air gap can be up to 35 mm, however mounting the switch or magnet on ferrous metal (steel) or rotatingthe magnet will reduce this range. DO NOT MOUNT THE SWITCH/MAGNET ASSEMBLY WITH STEEL IN BETWEEN.

Connect the two wires of the switch, one to the Green/Red wire of the alarm and the other to the Green/Black wireof the alarm. The switch has a self�adhesive backing to assist in mounting and is also supplied with screws if thismethod is preferred. If using the self�adhesive system, clean and de�grease the area thoroughly prior to fitting.

Fit the magnet on the removable panel/seat adjacent to the switch using the fitting methods described above.If several switches are to be used they must be run in series, not parallel. This method also applies to accessory

loop protection where in�line connectors are positioned so soft luggage/accessories can be protected by running anextension wire through them and remaking the continuous trigger circuit.

Secondary trigger circuit (Green tagged wire)

If you do not use this wire it should be positioned in a safe location with the Green tag still on and its position notedon the certificate of installation, so it can be identified and accessed at a future date (DO NOT CUT IT OFF!).

PLEASE NOTE:It is not possible to combine an ‘earth to trigger’ circuit with a ‘remove an earth to trigger’ on this single wire.If a closed loop system is being used all switches must be in series.If multiple applied earth triggers are being used they should be wired in parallel and are best separated by diodes.This is particularly important if any machine interlock systems such as side stand switch or clutch switch are to be

incorporated. Failure to diode these interlocks away from other triggers may seriously effect safety.

Функция 1 (1 сигнал сирены). Выбор варианта звучания сирены.1. Дойдя до функции 1 и услышав один звуковой сигнал, нажмите одновременно обе кнопки пульта управ�

ления. Последует тройной звуковой сигнал, а затем установленный тон звучания сирены (приглушенныйпо громкости).

2. Нажимайте серую кнопку для перехода к следующему тону или нажимайте черную кнопку для перехода кпредыдущему.

3. Выбрав подходящий тон нажмите одновременно обе кнопки, последует двойной звуковой сигнал и сиг�нализация выйдет из режима настройки тона сирены.

Функция 2 (2 сигнала сирены). Выбор состояния сигнализации послеавтоматической постановки на охрану.

1. Дойдя до функции 2 и услышав два звуковых сигнала, нажмите одновременно обе кнопки пульта управ�ления, последует тройной звуковой сигнал.

2. Заводская установка – «иммобилайзер». При необходимости включить режим «полной охраны», нажмитесерую кнопку пульта управления. В подтверждение включения режима загорится светодиод системы.Если надо вернуться к режиму «иммобилайзера», нажмите черную кнопку, светодиод погаснет.

Для выхода из режима программирования пользовательских функций просто выключите заZжигание.

Функция 3 (3 сигнала сирены). Переход к установочномупрограммированию.

Изменения установочных функций должно производиться квалифицированным персоналомустановочного центра. Пользователю категорически не рекомендуется изменять установки этихфункция, так как неквалифицированная настройка может привести к сбоям в работе охраннойсистемы.

Дойдя до функции №3 в таблице пользовательских функций для перехода к настройке установочных фун�кций:

� Одновременно нажмите обе кнопки пульта дистанционного управления (последуют три сигнала сирены).� Нажмите серую кнопку пульта (последует один сигнал сирены).� Нажмите одновременно обе кнопки пульта (последует один сигнал сирены).� Нажмите черную кнопку пульта (последует приглушенный сигнал сирены).Сигнализация вошла в режим программирования установочных функций. Процедура перехода к следую�

щей (предыдущей) функции, вход в режим изменения настроек функции – такая же, как при программирова�нии пользовательских функций. Номер функции обозначается соответствующим количеством звуковых сигна�лов.

7. Повторите процедуру для 3 и 4 цифры.8. Если введен правильный PIN код, индикаторные фонари мигнут один раз и сигнализация снимется с

охраны.

Примечание: Как только сигнализация будет снята с охраны, включится режим автоматической постановкина охрану. Не позднее чем через 45 секунд включите зажигание, иначе сигнализация вернется в режим охраны(или иммобилайзера).

При вводе неправильного PIN кода включится тревога. Если неправильный PIN код введен три разаподряд, дальнейший ввод PIN кода будет заблокирован на 1 минуту, считая от последней попытки.

Программирование пультов управленияВ комплекте сигнализации поставляется два пульта управления, однако сигнализация способна запомнить

до 6 пультов управления. При необходимости запрограммировать дополнительные пульты управления выпол$ните следующую процедуру:

Программирование системыОхранная система имеет две программируемых функции, установки которых пользователь может изме$

нять в процессе эксплуатации и восемь установочных функций, которые должны настраиваться квалифициро$ванным персоналом после установки охранной системы.

The System LED connections (Orange and Grey tagged wires)

Where possible agree the position for the system LED with the customer when discussing their requirements andfit it accordingly.

Do not fit more than one LED. It will increase the current usage of the system.

The LED can be installed by three methods:

In its plastic shroud via a drilled 8mm holeBy use of the self adhesive LED holder in conjunction with the plastic shroudBy interference fit of the LED into an exact size hole drilled for the LED only (hole size 5mm)

The final solution is becoming the most popular with the LED being installed into the rear taillight. With the currenttrend towards LED based rear light clusters it is very important the circuit board on the tail light is not damaged.

DO NOT DRILL the back of the tail light of this design unless you are absolutely sure you will not damage the LEDarray. Often on this type of display it is possible to carefully drill the assembly so the alarm LED is fitted between theLED array and the lens of the tail light (normally at the top). When doing this, the LED wires themselves normally haveto be bent over. Always position the LED so the wires can be bent in the right direction easily. DO NOT BEND the wiresover on another.

Consider if the LED needs to be disconnected to service or clean the machine. If it does it may be better to installbullet connectors to make the process easier.

Should you decide to use bullet connectors, always fit a female bullet on the GREY tagged wire coming from thealarm and a male bullet on the ORANGE tagged wire. The GREY tagged wire carries the LED positive supply so byfitting the Female bullet to it you protect it from shorting out. It also means should you ever need to replace or refit theLED you will always connect it the right way round.

N.B. The system LED is rated at 2volts DO NOT TESTS IT ACROSS A 12 VOLT BATTERY. IT MAY EXPLODE! If youwish to test the LED directly use a 1.5 Volt battery, the Grey wire of the LED is Positive The Orange wire is Negative.

Если при подтверждении введен правильный PIN код, сирена подаст два коротких сигнала. Если PIN код,введенный при подтверждении, не соответствует установленному, Вы услышите три длинных сигналасирены.

Примечания:a) После установки PIN кода Вы также можете снять сигнализацию с охраны с помощью пульта управления

в любое время.b) Если при программировании PIN кода зажигание останется выключенным, и Вы не выполните никаких

действий в течение 3 минут, сигнализация автоматически выйдет из режима программирования.c) Если при программировании PIN кода зажигание останется включенным более 10 секунд, сигнализация

автоматически выйдет из режима программирования.d) PIN код “0000”не может быть использован для снятия сигнализации с охраны, даже если такой PIN код

был установлен.

Изменение PIN кодаВы всегда можете изменить PIN код, повторив процедуру, описанную выше, и введя новый PIN код. PIN

код, введенный ранее при этом будет отменен.

Снятие сигнализации с охраны с использованием PIN кода Если отсутствует исправный пульт управления сигнализацией, снять сигнализацию с охраны можно введя

запрограммированный PIN код. Для ввода PIN кода:1. Включите зажигание. Включится тревога (немедленно, если сигнализация находится в режиме охраны,

или через 10 секунд, если сигнализация находится в режиме иммобилайзера).2. Сирена включится на 30 секунд, и индикаторные фонари будут мигать в течение 30 секунд. Не выключай�

те зажигание до окончания 30 секундного режима тревоги!3. По окончании тревоги светодиод загорится в постоянном режиме на 5 секунд. В течение этих 5 секунд

11 Moto Alarm System

The optional supplementary siren output (Green/Yellow tagged wire)

The Green/Yellow tagged wire gives 500mA of positive output only when the siren is sounding. This can be use todrive additional sirens and paging/text systems. Any such items are not part of the standard installation and thereforeshould be treated as extras and charged accordingly.

Some devices require a negative signal to trigger them, in these cases the signal can be converted via a standard12 Volt switching relay.

If more than 500mA is required to drive the supplementary device(s); use the output to drive a relay.

If you are not using this output the end of the wire should be insulated, the Green/Yellow tags should be left on andthe wire stored safely in a suitable position. This position should be recorded on the customer’s certificate of installation.

Transferring the wiring and commissioning the alarm

The alarm is shipped in ‘Winter’ mode, so nothing will happen until the ignition is turned ON.

To commission the alarm, turn the ignition on and the system will start to beep with an increasing rate for 5seconds. After 5 seconds the alarm will sound unless disarmed by pressing the Grey button of the remote control.

The alarm should now be fully tested by following the operating instructions.

If any adjustments are to be made to the ways the system is to operate (e.g. adjust the movement sensor) a PINwill have to be taught to the alarm. 1111 is the easiest to programme (follow the operating instructions).

Make the required adjustments and always advise the customer for security to set their own PIN. This can besimply carried out by over�writing the existing PIN with the new one (any previous PIN will be deleted).

Only when you are fully satisfied the system is working correctly, fit the metal security as shown in the diagrambelow. (Please note: To comply with insurance standards the security torx screws provided with the kit MUST be used.These should be further secured using thread lock adhesive).

Rebuild the machine and carry out a post installation check to ensure the machine is still working correctly and nodamage has occurred during the installation.

Combining the ignition key with the remote control

For added convenience the existing ignition key can be integrated into the front of the remotecontrol. These remotes also contain a special area to house most types of original equipment immobiliser transponder

chips.

Выключение зимнего режимаДля выключения зимнего режима просто включите зажигание, сирена в течение 5 секунд будет подавать

звуковые сигналы возрастающего тона. В течение этих 5 секунд нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления.Если кнопка пульта не нажата до окончания серии звуковых сигналов, включится тревога.

PIN кодВ целях повышения секретности управления для снятия сигнализации с охраны используется PIN код,

состоящий из четырех цифр, который программируется пользователем.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Сигнализация не имеет заводской установки PIN кода, поэтому пользователю настоятельнорекомендуется запрограммировать свой собственный PIN код в начале эксплуатации системы. Если этого несделать, то при потере или порче пультов управления не будет возможности снять сигнализацию с охраны,запрограммировать дополнительные пульты управления, изменить установки программируемых функций.

Если Вам необходимо изменить установки программируемых функций, а пользователь еще не установилили не помнит свой PIN код (но исправный пульт управления есть в наличии), установите свой PIN код, напри�мер, 1111. После того как изменение установок функций завершено рекомендуйте пользователю изменитьPIN код, чтобы не снижать секретность управления сигнализацией.

NOTE: Extra care should be taken if the existing ignition key contains an inbuilt transponder system designed toimmobilise the machine. Should the transponder chip be damaged whilst removing it from the ignition key the machinemay not be able to be started and a replacement chipped key may have to be purchased.

Please note that this is based on a basic key without a transponder chip. If the key is chipped witha transponder it is recommended that where possible this is removed prior to cutting the key.

1. The alarm is supplied with a series of adapters to suit most key sizes. Select thekey adapter most suitable for the width and thickness of the key you are converting

2. Place the key in a vice and cut the key parallel to the length of the key blade on thefirst side (remember the transponder chip if applicable). In certain instances the plasticwill come away from the key blade at this stage. If this is the case remove the plasticand carry out the next stage on the bare metal key. Accuracy in carrying out the cuttingat this stage can save considerable time filing the key to match the key adapters.

3. Reposition the key in the vice and cut the second side. If the plastic is still attached tothe key at this stage it can normally be easily removed with a sharp craft knife. File thekey to accurately match the adapter size, if required.

4. Position the cut down key fully within the ignition barrel and check any movementrequired to operate the steering lock assembly. Carefully select the best position forthe transmitter housing and mark position for the centre of the transmitter screw. This stage is very important, if the key is cut and drilled in the wrong position, thekey may not fit the ignition barrel or operate the steering lock correctly. It is goodpractice to check the other locks on the machine at this stage.

5. Centre punch the transmitter screw position and drill the key carefully to a diameterof 3.5mm. De�burr the hole if required.

6. Fit the key blade into the adapter and position this into the remote assembly. Ifan immobiliser transponder chip is to be fitted to the remote control it is best installed inthe area of the top case designed for this purpose, with a small amount of siliconesealant at this stage. If a Phillips type chip is being fitted the small tab in the centre ofthe area should be fully removed (see the battery replacement procedure, page 26, toview the transponder chip in position).

7. Fit the transmitter top to the lower casing and replace the sleeve nut and machinescrew to secure the key blade into the transmitter assembly. Test the transmitter forcorrect functioning and operation of the machine’s ignition and steering lock.

Уровень 2 – включается при напряжении аккумулятора 10,5В� Частота мигания светодиода понижается до 1 раза в 30 секунд, понижается яркость свечения.� Сирена каждые 60 секунд подает тихий звуковой сигнал, предупреждая Вас, что батарея разряжена.� Датчик удара выключается (датчик наклона остается включенным).� Приемник выключается и сигнализацию нельзя снять с охраны до включения зажигания.

Уровень 3 – включается при напряжении аккумулятора 9,8В� Светодиод выключается.� Звуковые сигналы выключаются.� Встроенная батарея автономного питания выключается.

Для снятия сигнализации с охраны при включенном 2 или 3 уровне энергосбережения вклюZчите зажигание и нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления.

Включение аварийной сигнализацииMongoose PENTACLE M�1 позволяет включить аварийную сигнализацию, даже если Ваш мотоцикл не обо�

рудован такой функцией. При выключенном зажигании и включенном режиме охраны одновременно на 3секунды нажмите черную и серую кнопки пульта управления, индикаторные фонари начнут мигать.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Прекращение мигания фонарей после пяти вспышек означает, что аккумулятор мотоцикласильно разряжен и включение аварийной сигнализации отменено системой во избежание дальнейшего раз�ряда.

Для отключения аварийной сигнализации либо еще раз на три секунды нажмите обе кнопки пульта управ�ления (сигнализация при этом останется на охране), либо нажмите серую кнопку для снятия сигнализации сохраны и одновременного выключения аварийной сигнализации.

Паника/поискПри выключенном зажигании нажмите и удерживайте в течение 3 секунд черную кнопку пульта управления

Operating instructions

From this point forward this manual mirrors the owner’s manual but explains the operation of thealarm system from an installer’s viewpoint.

It is advised you read the full operating instructions of the security system to become fully familiarwith its operation.

Certain sections of this manual are specific to you the installer only.

Changing the remote control battery

Each remote control contains a single long�life lithium battery (CR1616). This battery will normally last at least 12months. Normal range for the remote control is around 10 metres. As the battery within the remote comes to the endof its life you will notice a reduction in its range and the battery should be replaced.

1. To replace the battery remove the small screw from the ‘key end’ of the remoteand split the two halves of the case.

NOTE: The screw is threaded into a sleeve nut on the other half of the remote takecare not to loose this piece.

IMPORTANT: Take care not to lose the screw and ignition key blade/transponder ifthe key conversion has been carried out.

2. Lift the printed circuit board from the remote and slide out the circular batteryfrom its holder noting the polarity.

Maintaining the polarity of the battery, slide the new battery into the battery holder.

Fit the PCB back into its rubberized holder.

3. If a transponder chip is fitted in the remote it is essential you check it is still securewithin the top casing at this moment

4. After checking any OE transponder chip is still located within the top half of thecasing, fit the assembly into the top casing so the Grey and Black buttons drop intotheir respective holes.

At this stage it is a good idea to press the remote control buttons to check they areoperating correctly, this will be shown by the LED of the remote control illuminating(and the alarm system arming/disarming if you are within range and the system isnot in winter mode).

5. Refit the ignition key blade into its holder, if required.

Clip the bottom casing to the top half and replace and tighten the screw, so holdingthe two halves securely.

Тихая постановка/снятие с охраныПри сохранении заводской установки постановка и снятие сигнализации с охраны всегда, если не включа�

лась тревога, производится без звукового подтверждения. Однако если при установке сигнализации Вы вклю�чили звуковые сигналы подтверждения, сигнализация все равно может быть поставлена и снята с охраны беззвукового подтверждения.

Чтобы при программно включенных звуковых сигналах подтверждения поставить/снять сигнализацию сохраны без звукового подтверждения, перед нажатием серой кнопки нажмите черную кнопку – сигнализацияподтвердит постановку/снятие с охраны только вспышками фонарей.

Автоматическая перепостановка на охрану

Если в течение 45 секунд после снятия с охраны Вы не включили зажигание, сигнализация автоматическивернется в тот режим охраны, который предшествовал снятию (режим иммобилайзера, режим полной охраныили режим охраны с отключенными датчиками).

Если в течение 45 секунд любой из концевых выключателей изменял свое состояние или зажигание быловключено и выключено, сигнализация включит режим иммобилайзера.

Arming the system

Passive arming.

Unless the unit has been placed in ‘winter’ mode, the system always passively arms 45 seconds after the ignitionis turned off. When the ignition is turned OFF the LED will light continuously and after 40 seconds emit a set increasingrate beeps follow by the LED changing to flashing to indicate the system has armed.

The audible signal is to warn the customer the system is about to arm as an immobiliser only, so acting as areminder to arm the system fully should they wish to do so. This audible signal cannot be deleted.

When set passively the system only arms the immobiliser and anti hot$wire trigger.

If the customer wishes to make the alarm fully arm passively, it can be done via the software switches coveredwithin the customization section of this manual. If full passive arming is selected the LED does not illuminate when theignition is turned off and you do not get the warning beeps in the last 5 seconds of the arming period. The systemsimply flashes the indicators TWICE when the alarm arms.

This software switch is available to the customer should they wish to do this themselves.

Fully arming the alarm system (Active remote arming).

To fully arm the alarm system to give movement, nudge, trigger switch and battery back$up coverage, press theGrey button on the remote control within 45 seconds of turning off the ignition.

The system will flash the indicators twice.

The LED will start to flash 5 seconds after pressing the remote and will be fully armed after 20 seconds.

If you have changed the default settings within the software section and selected FULL passive arming of both thealarm and immobiliser the alarm will automatically arm along with the immobiliser 45 seconds after turning off theignition and be fully active 20 seconds later or you can still arm it instantly by pressing by pressing the Grey button ofthe remote within the first 45 seconds after turning off the ignition.

If the system has passively armed as an immobiliser and you wish to arm it fully, simply press the Grey buttonTWICE. The first press disarms the system, the second arms it fully.

Arming the system without the movement sensor (‘Ferry’ Mode).

To arm the alarm system but have both the movement and nudge sensors turned off; press the black button within10 seconds of arming the system with the grey button of the remote control.

The system will flash twice to indicate the alarm has been armed and then give three further flashes of theindicators to confirm the movement sensors have been turned OFF. The system will still have immobilised the machineand the alarm will react if the machine is hot$wired, the supply to the alarm is tampered with or one of the triggerswitches is activated.

Дистанционная постановка на охрануДля включения режима полной охраны с включением всех датчиков, входов концевых выключателей и

подключением встроенного автономного питания используйте дистанционную постановку на охрану. Для ди$станционной постановки на охрану нажмите не позднее чем через 45 секунд после выключения зажиганиясерую кнопку пульта дистанционного управления. Индикаторные фонари мигнут дважды, через 5 секундначнет мигать светодиод, и включится режим полной охраны.

Примечание 1: С помощью функции №6 в таблице установочного программирования можно включитьзвуковые сигналы подтверждения постановки на охрану.

Примечание 2: Если Вы программно включили переход системы в режим полной охраны (функции №2 втаблице пользовательского программирования) при автоматической постановке на охрану, то режим полнойохраны будет включаться как после дистанционной, так и после автоматической постановки. If you press the Black button of the remote after more than 10 seconds of arming the alarm nothing will happenand the alarm will still remain fully armed with the movement sensors ON.

This process has to be carried out EVERY time you wish the alarm to be in ‘Ferry’ mode.

Disarming the system

To disarm the system from the armed state, simply press the Grey button on the remote control. The unit will thenflash the indicators once to indicate it has been disarmed. Remember to turn the ignition on within 45 seconds or thesystem will auto re�arm in the same state as it was armed prior to disarming.

Note: Each time the system is disarmed the LED on the machine will flash the equivalent number of times equalto the total number of remote controls, including PIR’s, coded into the system. This ensures the customer will alwaysknow they are in possession of all remote controls capable of operating the system.

If it is found there are extra, unknown remote controls coded into the alarm, you can exclude these from the unit.Please advise the customer should you wish to charge for this service.

Disarming the system after it has been triggered

If the system has been triggered in your absence, when the alarm system is disarmed you will hear an extended‘beep’ followed by a number of short beeps to indicate the reason for the trigger. The table below identifies the cause.

Silent arming/disarming

If the customer has requested the audible arming tones to be active the alarm can still be armed or disarmed thesystem without the tones on a one�off basis.

Please note: The inclusion of arm and disarm indication beeps is strictly forbidden in all EU countries.

To do this, simply press the Black button of the remote control followed by the Grey button. The system will arm ordisarm silently for this one operation only and just flash the indicators.

Automatic reZarming

To ensure the machine remains covered at least at the level chosen if it is accidentally disarmed, when the systemis disarmed it automatically starts a 45 second countdown after which the system will auto re�arm at the SAME level itwas last armed in (i.e. Passive immobiliser, Full alarm or in ‘Ferry Mode’).

If the ignition is turned or one of the trigger switches is operated (e.g. seat removed if the switch is fitted to it)within the 45 second countdown period, the unit will then arm in the state chosen for passive arming (i.e. passiveimmobilisation, when set to default).

If the transmitter is accidentally pressed more than once within 45 seconds, the alarm system will always default tofully armed.

‘Sleep’ mode

The systems include a three level Sleep Procedure to reduce the current consumption of the system as themotorcycle battery starts to discharge. This system reduces the risk of damaging the machine’s battery through beingleft in a discharged state.

The levels of sleep are as follows: �

Level 1 – Switching Point 11.5 Volts

� The LED flash rate is slowed to once every 10 seconds.� The receiver is switched off unless the LED is turned on (i.e. the alarm will only disarm as the LED flashes).

All other features remain unchanged.


� The LED flash rate is slowed to once every 30 seconds and the brightness of the LED is reduced� The Siren gives a low level audible beep every 60 seconds (to warn you of a potential battery failure).� Shock Sensor is turned off (the movement sensor remains turned on).� The receiver is switched off and the remote will not turn off the alarm until the ignition is turned ON.


� The LED is turned OFF� The Siren Beep is turned off� The internal battery back�up is turned off

If you wish to disarm the alarm, in sleep levels two and three, turn the ignition on and press the Grey button of theremote control.

To further extend battery life the unit can be put into ‘Winter mode’

Hazard warning lights

Press both the Grey and Black buttons of the remote control for 3 seconds when the ignition is OFF and the alarmsystem is armed will start the hazard warning lights. If the motorcycle battery voltage is too low to maintain this feature,the lights will flash 5 times and then stop.

To turn off the hazards, either press both buttons again (leaving the system armed) or press the Grey button todisarm the alarm system and turn off the hazard lights.

‘Panic locator’ feature

Press and hold the Black button of the remote for 3 seconds with the ignition switched OFF to enter ‘panic/locator’mode. The siren will sound and the indicators will flash until either button is pressed on the remote control to turn thepanic/locator mode off. When exited, the alarm system reverts to the original state held before the button was pressedto activate the panic/locate mode.

The PIN override system

The alarm system has a PIN disarming feature. As a new product there is no PIN number programmed into thealarm, therefore we strongly recommend the customer enters their chosen 4 digit number as one of their first priorities.

NOTE: If a PIN number is not entered and the remote controls lost or damaged whilst out riding, the system cannotbe disarmed without access to the second remote control.

The PIN can be over�written at any time provided you have access to both a coded�in remote control and ignitionkeys.

Should you need to change any setting of the alarm or introduce extra remote controls you will either have to knowthe customer’s PIN number or over�write the existing PIN with a new one. We suggest for engineering purposes a PINof 1111 is used, however due to security issues you must advise the customer to change this to their own PIN. Thisis especially important if you have over�written their PIN to alter the system settings or add remote controls.

Entering a new PIN code

To initialize the PIN number the following procedure should be followed: �

1. Disarm the alarm system using the remote control. The LED will flash to signify how many remote controls arecoded into the alarm.

2. Immediately after this, turn the Ignition ON, OFF and ON within 5 seconds3. Press both buttons on the remote control within 10 seconds of turning the ignition back ON until the siren beeps

confirmation (3 seconds)4. Turn the ignition OFF and ON5. The LED fitted to the machine will flash rapidly for 3 seconds6. After 3 seconds the flashes will slow and a beep will be heard with each slow flash. Count the number of slow

flashes or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the first digit of the required PIN and turn the ignition OFF andON. If you wish to enter a Zero turn the ignition OFF and ON immediately the rapid flashes stop (i.e. before thefirst slow flash).

Этот провод можно использовать для подключения дополнительной сирены или пейджера. Если потребляе�мый ток подключаемого устройства выше 500 мА, установите дополнительное реле.

Если провод не используется, заизолируйте и надежно спрячьте его для возможного использования вбудущем.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Не подключайте выход к мотоциклетному клаксону, во избежание выхода его из строя.

Завершение установкиЗакончив подключения, соедините разъемы на блоке сигнализации с разъемами жгута проводов.При поставке с завода сигнализация находится в “зимнем” режиме, поэтому при подаче питания ничего не

произойдет. Для включения сигнализации включите зажигание, в течение 5 секунд сигнализация будет пода�вать звуковые сигналы. В течение этих 5 секунд нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления, иначе по окончании5 секунд включится тревога.

Проверьте работу сигнализации во всех режимах согласно Руководству пользователя. Выполните необхо�димые программные настройки, настройте чувствительность и режим работы датчиков.

После успешного завершения проверки, уложите разъемы в металлический защитный кожух, закройтекрышку кожуха и прикрутите ее четырьмя винтами из комплекта.

8. Repeat the process for the 3rd and 4th digits.9. Once you have entered 4 numbers, the siren will beep one long tone to indicate their entry. You then have to

confirm your selected PIN number by entering it again10. Turn the ignition ON and repeat the above procedure with the same PIN.11. Once re�entered, turning the ignition OFF completes the procedure. If the PIN is confirmed correctly, then the

alarm system will give 2 short tones. If the PIN is confirmed incorrectly, then the alarm system will give 3 longtones.

Note:a) You can disarm the alarm system with the transmitter at any time.b) If the ignition is left off and no action is taken within 3 minutes, the alarm system reverts to normal mode.c) If the ignition is left on for more than 10 seconds, the alarm will revert to disarmed mode.d) The factory set default PIN number is 0000 but this PIN number is non operational and therefore cannot be used.

Changing the PIN

The PIN can be changed at any time simply by repeating the PIN entry procedure. The original PIN will be deletedand the new PIN will disarm the alarm.

Disarming the system with the PIN

If the transmitter is lost or damaged, or the transmitter battery is flat, the system can be overridden by thepreviously entered four digits PIN (Personal Identification Number) used in conjunction with the ignition switch. ThePIN procedure can only be used after a full alarm reaction has been initiated.

The procedure is as follows: �

1. Turn the ignition ON to initiate an alarm reaction, (immediate if the alarm is armed, or after 10 seconds, if theimmobiliser only is armed).

2. The alarm will sound for 30 seconds and the indicators will flash for 30 seconds. Do not turn the ignition OFFduring the sounding phase.

3. When the alarm reaction stops, the motorcycle LED will be on constantly for 5 seconds. During this 5�secondperiod, turn the ignition OFF and ON.

4. The override procedure will start immediately, indicated by rapid flashes of the LED for 3 seconds which thenchanges to a slow flash combined with beeps as detailed within the PIN entry section above.

5. Count the number of SLOW flashes from the LED or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the first digit of thePIN code and then turn the ignition OFF and ON. Again if you have selected Zero as your first PIN number youmust turn the ignition OFF and ON immediately the rapid flashes stop.

6. The system will then return to the rapid LED flash sequence for 3 seconds and then go toSLOW flashes/beeps. Count the number of flashes or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the second digit of the

PIN code and then turn the ignition OFF and ON.7. Repeat the sequence to enter the 3rd and 4th PIN numbers

If entered correctly, the alarm will disarm and the motorcycle LED will flash once.

NOTE: As soon as the alarm system is disarmed, the passive arming alarm (if selected) and passive armingimmobiliser periods will begin. Therefore, the ignition must be switched ON within the 45�second arming periodotherwise the alarm system (if selected) and the immobiliser will passive arm.

Entering an incorrect PIN code will initiate a full alarm reaction.

If an incorrect PIN code is entered three times the unit cannot be disarmed by the PIN number for 2 minutes. If youhave done this LED will give double flashes when the third incorrect code is entered until the lockout time has expired.

Adding extra remote controls

All systems come provided with two remote controls pre�programmed into the alarm unit. Should the customerrequire extra or replacement remote controls they can be purchased. Up to a maximum of six remote controls canoperate the system at any one time.

To add a new remote control use the following sequence:

a) Disarm the alarm system using either a transmitter or PIN codeb) Immediately after the LED flashes to signify the number of remotes coded into it, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON,

OFF and ON within 7 seconds.c) The LED will enter rapid flash for 3 seconds and then start flashing the LED slowly and beeping the siren as

previously described.d) Enter the PIN number as described previously.e) When the PIN number has been entered correctly, the siren will give a long tone (1 second)f) Turn the ignition OFF and ON to enter the transmitter� learn procedure.g) Press the grey button on a new transmitter to teach it to the system.h) The LED will immediately flash a number of times equal to the number of transmitters taught to the system.i) Should you require more remote controls to be programmed in, press the grey button on each new transmitter to

teach it to the system.j) The transmitter memory is a stack with six locations operating on a First In First out basis.There is no limit to the number of transmitters, which can be taught at one time but the 7th transmitter/PIR will

replace 1st, 8th will replace 2nd etc.k) Turn the ignition OFF and leave it OFF for 15 seconds to exit transmitter learn mode, two long tones to indicate

learn mode has been exited.

l) Alternatively:� Press the Grey button of a remote control.� Turn the ignition OFF wait for 2 beeps.� Turn the ignition back ON again immediately� This enters the software switch settings enabling the customisation of the system (see next section ‘Customising

the system’).

Customising the system

It is possible to change the operation of the security system to the customer’s requirements (see transmitter learnprocedure for details on how to enter the software switches). The table below shows the software switches availableat this stage, only switch 1 & 2 instructions are given to the customer. Do not give the switch 3 instructions to them.

Однако установка выключателя или магнита на металлических поверхностях или пере�вертывание магнита сокращает это расстояние. НЕ УСТАНАВЛАЙТЕ ВЫКЛЮЧАТЕЛЬ И МАГНИТ ПО РАЗНЫЕСТОРОНЫ МЕТАЛЛИЧЕСКИХ ПЕРЕГОРОДОК! Для установки Вы можете использовать двустороннюю клейкуюленту, приклеенную с обратной стороны выключателя или винты из комплекта. При использовании клейкойленты хорошо очистите и обезжирьте место установки перед закреплением выключателя. При необходимостиустановить несколько выключателей, соедините их последовательно, а не параллельно.

После установки выключателя подключите зеленый/черный и зеленый/красный провода к проводам кон�цевого выключателя.

Установка и подключение дополнительного концевого выключателя (провод с зеленой марки�ровкой).

Зеленый провод может быть использован для организации дополнительной зоны охраны, например, дляохраны багажа, гаража и пр. Обсудите это с заказчиком. Если провод не используется, спрячьте его, сохранивмаркировку, для возможного использования в будущем. Не обрезайте и не удаляйте провод!

Once you have entered the software switch section

1. Press the Grey button on the transmitter to move forward through the table to Switch 2 (2 beeps will be heardwhen you are at switch 2).

2. Press the Black button on the remote control to move backwards through the table to Switch 1 (1 beep will beheard when you are this switch).

3. If 3 beeps are heard you are Switch 3, which requires the special engineer’s code to enter. To exit this area bypressing the Grey button to enter Switch 1 again and wait for the confirmation beep.

4. If you wish to change a setting move to the required switch until you hear the number of beeps corresponding tothe switch number and the press both buttons of the remote to select that switch

Software switch 1Siren tone

1. Once you have found the siren tone selection (switch1), press both the Grey and Black buttons of the remotecontrol to select the switch. A triple beep will be heard and the siren will sound at a reduced volume.

2. Each press of the Grey button will move the siren tone forward to the next. If you press the Black button you willreturn to the previous tone.

3. Once you have decided the siren tone you require press both buttons of the remote control to select it a doublebeep will be heard and you will return to the software switch selection.

Software switch 2Passive arming settings (Passive immobiliser or Full passive arming)

1. Once you have found the passive arming selection (Switch 2), press Both buttons of the remote control to selectthe switch. A triple beep will be heard confirming you have entered the switch.

2. The factory default setting for this switch is OFF. If you wish to turn it ON (full passive arming of the alarm andimmobiliser) press the Grey button of the remote control and the system LED will be lit confirm you haveselected FULL passive arming. If you wish to return to passive immobiliser only, press the Black button of theremote control and the LED will be OFF to confirm the setting.

3. Once you set the alarm to your arming preference, press Both buttons of the remote control to confirm thesetting, a double beep will be heard and you will return to the software switch selection.

To exit software switch selection simply turn the ignition OFF.

The following features must only be accessed by the dealer. This information should not be passedto the customer. Should a customer request a change be made we strongly advise you to discuss theimplications with them prior to carrying out any changes. To access this area you must first

1). Initially enter a PIN number if this has not been already done (Page 17�18)2). Carry out a transmitter learn procedure (an original transmitter can be used, Page 19)3). Turn the ignition OFF and ON within 15 seconds of ‘learning’ the transmitter to enter the customisation section

of the system and move to software switch 3 (3 Beeps) ( Page 20).

To select software switch 3:

� Press both buttons of the remote control (3 fast beeps will be heard)� Press the Grey button of the remote control (a beep will be heard)� Press both buttons of the remote control (a beep will be heard)� Press the Black button of the remote control (a lower tone beep will be heard)

You have now entered the engineering software area. The process of moving through it, selecting the softwareswitch and changing the settings is basically the same as above with each software switch being indicated by thenumber of lower tone beeps heard.

Enter the required software switch by pressing both buttons of the transmitter.

Once the desired adjustment of the software switch has been made press both buttons again to confirm acceptanceand exit the switch.

After the tones for each software switch have finished, the LED will indicate the current setting of that switch evenbefore it is entered for adjustment. This is to assist in the programming of the system.

Please note: You can go both up and down the software switch selection by pressing the Grey button to move toa higher number and the Black button to return to a lower number. However when at switch 8 if you press the Greybutton before entering it you will move to switch 1 of the CUSTOMER SELECTABLE SWITCHES. Should you wishto go back to reset an earlier engineer switch press the Black button until you reach the desired switch.

If you re�enter the Customer software switch area by mistake, go to switch 3 select and re�enter the engineer’ssoftware switches.

Important: The engineers section of the software switches cannot be entered without the special engineer’sentry sequence above. Under no circumstances should this code be given to the customer.

The table on the next page explains the adjustments, which can be made. Following that the text gives details ofhow to make the adjustments and what you will see to indicate the setting of each switch.

Once you have finished and wish to totally exit programming simply turn OFF the ignition.

Engineer software switches

The next pages give detailed information on each of the engineer switches above, how to use them and the effectany changes will have on the alarm.

Transmitter erase (Engineer switch 1)

This software switch is to remove transmitters which have been previously been coded into the system but are nolonger in the possession of the rightful owner of the machine either due to loss, theft or transfer of ownership. Thisensures the security of the system.

Each time the system is disarmed the LED on the machine flashes to indicate the number of transmitters alreadycoded into the system (up to a maximum of 6 in total).

Through this the owner or engineer will always know they are in possession of ALL valid transmitters.When this software switch is used it deletes all transmitters from the memory of the system with the exception of

the transmitter being used to execute the deletion.

Any transmitters which are to be used must be re�coded in using the transmitter learning procedure described inthe owner’s manual. This can be done either by the engineer or the customer but it is advisable for the engineer to dothis as the customer may forget.

The factory default settings have been as the optimum for most installations and legal requirements. In mostinstances these settings should not need to be changed.

However sometimes changes may be made to ‘customise’ the system to meet the requirements of the customer,local legal requirements or the installation. These are adjusted individually.

If for any reason it is felt the alterations need returning to the factory settings, engineer’s software switch 2 willreset the complete unit to the factory defaults. This includes both the customer accessible switches AND the engineeronly switches.

To reset the software switches to factory defaults

� Move to switch 2 (2 lower tone beeps will be heard)� Enter switch 2 by pressing both buttons, a double beep will be heard and all software switches will have returned

Systems diagnostic with event memory (Engineer switch 3)

The system is equipped with a memory, which holds the last 5 triggers in reverse order sequence.This memory is designed to assist the engineer in diagnosing claimed false alarm issues with the type of trigger

being indicated via the system LED flash sequence as per table below.

To access the memory go to switch 3. The LED will flash the last trigger even before you enter it.

Press both buttons to enter the software switch and the LED will still be flashing the last trigger seen.

To view the previous trigger, press the grey button of the transmitter and the LED will flash that sequence. Eachsubsequent press of the grey button will tell you the trigger previous, up to a maximum of five.

Once the five have been displayed the system will go back to the first so it is important you record them as they aredisplayed.

If you wish to retain the memory to show the user, turn off the ignition and exit the software switch mode and donot trigger the alarm system again.

If you wish to delete the memory press the Black button on the remote and all the history of triggers will beremoved leaving a clean memory.

Special note: If the alarm is disarmed and a long tone is heard followed by a number of beeps it tells thecustomer the alarm system has been triggered and the number of beeps indicates the source of the trigger.

Movement sensor adjust (Engineer switch 4)

4 stages of movement detection are available to enable the alarm to be adjusted for over/under sensitivity. Thedefault setting is 3 degrees and for most machines this will ensure the alarm system triggers as the machine is movedfrom the side stand to the upright position.

The movement sensor is a true three axis sensor so the position of the alarm does not effect the performance ofthis sensor.

Please note: To reduce the chance of false alarms the movement sensor has a delay of around 3 seconds sowhen you move the machine it will not trigger instantly. If the machine is moved to upright, then straight back withinthe 3 second period, it will not see the machine moving again this is to reduce the possibilities of false alarms.

The other setting are: 2, 4 and 5 degrees.

Adjusting the movement sensor

Move to software switch 4 with the remote until you hear the 4 lower tones (the LED will now flash between 2 and5 times to indicate the current setting, 3 times for factory default to indicate 30.

Press both buttons of the remote to enter the switch, a triple beep will be heard.

To change the setting press the BLACK button of the remote control and the flash sequence will change to 4flashes signifying 4 degrees of movement are required. Each press of the BLACK button changes the selection in therotating pattern 3, 4, 5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 2, etc.

Checking the sensitivity

The sensitivity can be checked whilst in this engineering mode.

Press the GREY button of the remote a single short beep will be heard. This is to set the starting position of thealarm.

Move the machine the amount you would expect the alarm system to be triggered by and hold the machine there.

After 3 seconds the siren will give a long tone to indicate it has ‘seen’ the movement. If you wish to repeat the testreturn the machine to its starting position and press the GREY button again to reset the test. This has to be done eachtime you wish to carry out the movement test

If you wish to change the sensitivity press the Black button and the repeat the movement test as above.

Once you are satisfied with the level of sensitivity press both buttons of the remote control to accept the setting.

N.B. It is recommended the sensitivity adjustment is only carried out by a dealer to avoid false alarms beingcreated through customers setting the unit incorrectly.

Nudge sensor adjustment (Engineer switch 5)

The nudge sensor has 10 stages of adjustment with the factory default set at level 8. The level of sensitivity toimpacts can be set via engineering software switch 5.

Should the owner wish to temporarily exclude the nudge sensor (and movement sensor) they can do this either bysimply allowing the system to passive arm in its immobilised only state or by arming the alarm in ferry mode.

Please note: If the sensitivity of the nudge sensor is reduced to its lower settings the level of impact required tocreate a reaction will be very high.

The nudge sensor can be turned OFF, WARNAWAY WITH NO TRIGGER or TRIGGER AFTER A SELECTED NUMBEROF IMPACTS (BETWEEN 1 AND 5) IN ANY 2 MINUTE PERIOD. This is done via engineering software switch 8.

Adjusting the sensitivity to impacts

Select software switch 5 by pressing both buttons of the remote when you hear 5 beeps when in the engineeringsoftware switch selection table.

The alarm will give a quick triple beep to confirm you are in this section and the LED will flash in groups to signifyits current level of sensing (8 in default).

To increase the sensitivity to impacts press the GREY button, to decrease the sensitivity press the BLACK button.Each time a button is pressed you will hear a beep and the LED will flash in groups to indicate where you are in therange. If you get to the top or bottom of the adjustment range the beep will not be heard and the adjustment will stayat the maximum or minimum.

Exiting ‘Winter mode’To re�activate the alarm system:� Turn the ignition ON.� The alarm will give a series of increasing rate beeps. These last for 5 seconds.� If the alarm is not disarmed via the Grey button within this period it will trigger.

Once the unit has woken up it will come back as a fully armed alarm/immobiliser. This ensures that if the machineis attacked by a third party, it is fully protected.

To test the sensitivity is at the desired level nudge the machine and a series of beeps will be heard. This test canbe carried out repeatedly but please allow 5 seconds between impacts for the sensor to settle. If the sensitivity is at thedesired level press both buttons of the remote control to accept. If not adjust the level via the BLACK or GREY buttonand retest until you are satisfied with the level of coverage, then press both buttons to accept.

Arm/Disarm tones On/Off (Engineer software switch 6)

To comply with EU regulations the alarm system comes with the arm/disarm tones turned OFF. Should the customerdecide they wish to enable audible arming it is important local regulations are consulted and the customer advised ifthis action may leave them in contradiction of local regulations.

To enable the arm/disarm tones, select software switch 6 by pressing both buttons of the remote when you hear6 beeps as per the engineering software switch selection table. A triple beep will be heard and the LED will be OFF.

Press the grey button of the remote to turn the tones ON and the LED will change to ON. IF you wish to turn thetones OFF, press the Black button of the remote control when software switch 6 has been entered and the LED will beOFF, indicating the arm/disarm tones have been disabled.

Once the adjustment has been made confirm it by pressing both buttons of the remote to exit switch 6 and returnto the software switch selection.

If the arm/disarm tones are enabled it is still possible for the customer to arm/disarm the system silently on a one�off basis by pressing the black button of the remote just prior to pressing the Grey button to Arm/Disarm.

If the arming tones are enabled the system will give an audible tone to coincide with the indicator flashes and if thesystem is put into Ferry mode a LOWER tone will be heard as the Black button is pressed within 10 seconds of armingvia the Grey button to confirm movement sensor deletion.

.Please note: The inclusion of arm and disarm indication beeps is strictly forbidden in all EU countries.

Panic On/Off (Engineer software switch 7)

The factory default for panic is set to ON. Local conditions in certain countries may dictate panic MUST not beenabled (please refer to local regulations). The system is capable of being triggered via a dedicated radio linked PIRwhen armed as an alarm. If Panic is disabled, this system cannot be used.

To disable the panic, select software switch 7 by pressing both buttons of the remote when you hear 7 beeps whenin the engineering software switch selection table. A triple beep will be heard and the LED will be ON.

Press the black button of the remote to turn panic OFF and the LED will change to OFF. IF you wish to turn panicON, press the Grey button of the remote control when software switch 7 has been entered and the LED will be ON,indicating panic has been enabled.

Once the adjustment has been made confirm it by pressing both buttons of the remote to exit switch 6 and returnto the software switch selection.

Selecting the type of nudge coverage required (Engineer switch 8)

Select engineering software switch 8 by pressing both buttons of the remote control when 8 beeps are heard. Atriple beep will be heard and the LED will flash in groups to signify how the alarm will react to impact detections(Default is set to 2 flashes, signifying full alarm reaction at the second nudge detection within any 2 minute period, asindicated in the table below).

To adjust the method of coverage press either of the remote control buttons and observe the LED. Its patternindicates the type of coverage by the groups of flashes as per the table below. Once you have chosen the type ofcoverage�desired press both buttons of the remote to select.

Please note: In some countries the inclusion of a nudge sensor is not allowed, please check local legislation.

How to remove the machine’s battery

You can remove the battery at any time when the system is in the ‘immobilised only’ or ‘winter mode’. If the alarmsystem has been armed, the internal battery back�up systems alarms are also turned on. Disconnection of the batterywill cause the alarm system to sound.

However it is better to put the system into ‘winter mode’ on ALL systems when the battery is being removed, as thiswill stop the alarm reacting to the transmitter. If you have changed the standard default setting of the alarm to fullpassive this method is by far the easiest for battery removal.

Please note: Whatever the state of arming of S4 Red and Yellow units will always leave the machine immobilisedwhen armed, this includes ‘winter mode’.

How to stand up a machine for winter (‘Winter mode’)

The purpose of this mode is to enable the machine to be left for long periods with the alarm drawing an absoluteminimum current of under 250µA from the machine’s battery. In this mode the alarm system is no longer active and itleaves the machine immobilised only.

Entering ‘Winter’ modeFrom the disarmed state:� Press both buttons on the transmitter for 10 seconds with the ignition ON until you hear a beep.� Turn the ignition OFF the alarm unit is now in winter mode.

To access this area you must first

1). Initially enter a PIN number if this has not been already done (Page 17�18)2). Carry out a transmitter learn procedure (an original transmitter can be used, Page 19)3). Turn the ignition OFF and ON within 15 seconds of ‘learning’ the transmitter to enter the customisation section

of the system and move to software switch 3 (3 Beeps) ( Page 20).

To select software switch 3:

� Press both buttons of the remote control (3 fast beeps will be heard)� Press the Grey button of the remote control (a beep will be heard)� Press both buttons of the remote control (a beep will be heard)� Press the Black button of the remote control (a lower tone beep will be heard)

You have now entered the engineering software area. The process of moving through it, selecting the softwareswitch and changing the settings is basically the same as above with each software switch being indicated by thenumber of lower tone beeps heard.

Enter the required software switch by pressing both buttons of the transmitter.

Once the desired adjustment of the software switch has been made press both buttons again to confirm acceptanceand exit the switch.

After the tones for each software switch have finished, the LED will indicate the current setting of that switch evenbefore it is entered for adjustment. This is to assist in the programming of the system.

Please note: You can go both up and down the software switch selection by pressing the Grey button to move toa higher number and the Black button to return to a lower number. However when at switch 8 if you press the Greybutton before entering it you will move to switch 1 of the CUSTOMER SELECTABLE SWITCHES. Should you wishto go back to reset an earlier engineer switch press the Black button until you reach the desired switch.

If you re�enter the Customer software switch area by mistake, go to switch 3 select and re�enter the engineer’ssoftware switches.

Important: The engineers section of the software switches cannot be entered without the special engineer’sentry sequence above. Under no circumstances should this code be given to the customer.

The table on the next page explains the adjustments, which can be made. Following that the text gives details ofhow to make the adjustments and what you will see to indicate the setting of each switch.

Once you have finished and wish to totally exit programming simply turn OFF the ignition.

Once you have entered the software switch section

1. Press the Grey button on the transmitter to move forward through the table to Switch 2 (2 beeps will be heardwhen you are at switch 2).

2. Press the Black button on the remote control to move backwards through the table to Switch 1 (1 beep will beheard when you are this switch).

3. If 3 beeps are heard you are Switch 3, which requires the special engineer’s code to enter. To exit this area bypressing the Grey button to enter Switch 1 again and wait for the confirmation beep.

4. If you wish to change a setting move to the required switch until you hear the number of beeps corresponding tothe switch number and the press both buttons of the remote to select that switch

Software switch 1Siren tone

1. Once you have found the siren tone selection (switch1), press both the Grey and Black buttons of the remotecontrol to select the switch. A triple beep will be heard and the siren will sound at a reduced volume.

2. Each press of the Grey button will move the siren tone forward to the next. If you press the Black button you willreturn to the previous tone.

3. Once you have decided the siren tone you require press both buttons of the remote control to select it a doublebeep will be heard and you will return to the software switch selection.

Software switch 2Passive arming settings (Passive immobiliser or Full passive arming)

1. Once you have found the passive arming selection (Switch 2), press Both buttons of the remote control to selectthe switch. A triple beep will be heard confirming you have entered the switch.

2. The factory default setting for this switch is OFF. If you wish to turn it ON (full passive arming of the alarm andimmobiliser) press the Grey button of the remote control and the system LED will be lit confirm you haveselected FULL passive arming. If you wish to return to passive immobiliser only, press the Black button of theremote control and the LED will be OFF to confirm the setting.

3. Once you set the alarm to your arming preference, press Both buttons of the remote control to confirm thesetting, a double beep will be heard and you will return to the software switch selection.

To exit software switch selection simply turn the ignition OFF.

The following features must only be accessed by the dealer. This information should not be passedto the customer. Should a customer request a change be made we strongly advise you to discuss theimplications with them prior to carrying out any changes. The default settings for the alarm systemare set as the optimum and we advise you to stay with these settings where possible.

NOTE: As soon as the alarm system is disarmed, the passive arming alarm (if selected) and passive armingimmobiliser periods will begin. Therefore, the ignition must be switched ON within the 45�second arming periodotherwise the alarm system (if selected) and the immobiliser will passive arm.

Entering an incorrect PIN code will initiate a full alarm reaction.

If an incorrect PIN code is entered three times the unit cannot be disarmed by the PIN number for 2 minutes. If youhave done this LED will give double flashes when the third incorrect code is entered until the lockout time has expired.

Adding extra remote controls

All systems come provided with two remote controls pre�programmed into the alarm unit. Should the customerrequire extra or replacement remote controls they can be purchased. Up to a maximum of six remote controls canoperate the system at any one time.

To add a new remote control use the following sequence:

a) Disarm the alarm system using either a transmitter or PIN codeb) Immediately after the LED flashes to signify the number of remotes coded into it, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON,

OFF and ON within 7 seconds.c) The LED will enter rapid flash for 3 seconds and then start flashing the LED slowly and beeping the siren as

previously described.d) Enter the PIN number as described previously.e) When the PIN number has been entered correctly, the siren will give a long tone (1 second)f) Turn the ignition OFF and ON to enter the transmitter� learn procedure.g) Press the grey button on a new transmitter to teach it to the system.h) The LED will immediately flash a number of times equal to the number of transmitters taught to the system.i) Should you require more remote controls to be programmed in, press the grey button on each new transmitter to

teach it to the system.j) The transmitter memory is a stack with six locations operating on a First In First out basis.There is no limit to the number of transmitters, which can be taught at one time but the 7th transmitter/PIR will

replace 1st, 8th will replace 2nd etc.k) Turn the ignition OFF and leave it OFF for 15 seconds to exit transmitter learn mode, two long tones to indicate

learn mode has been exited.

l) Alternatively:� Press the Grey button of a remote control.� Turn the ignition OFF wait for 2 beeps.� Turn the ignition back ON again immediately� This enters the software switch settings enabling the customisation of the system (see next section ‘Customising

the system’).

Customising the system

It is possible to change the operation of the security system to the customer’s requirements (see transmitter learnprocedure for details on how to enter the software switches). The table below shows the software switches availableat this stage, only switch 1 & 2 instructions are given to the customer. Do not give the switch 3 instructions to them.

Для установки Вы можете использовать двустороннюю клейкуюленту, приклеенную с обратной стороны выключателя или винты из комплекта. При использовании клейкойленты хорошо очистите и обезжирьте место установки перед закреплением выключателя. При необходимостиустановить несколько выключателей, соедините их последовательно, а не параллельно.

После установки выключателя подключите зеленый/черный и зеленый/красный провода к проводам кон�цевого выключателя.

Установка и подключение дополнительного концевого выключателя (провод с зеленой марки�ровкой).

Зеленый провод может быть использован для организации дополнительной зоны охраны, например, дляохраны багажа, гаража и пр. Обсудите это с заказчиком. Если провод не используется, спрячьте его, сохранивмаркировку, для возможного использования в будущем. Не обрезайте и не удаляйте провод!

7. The LED will again start to flash rapidly for 3 seconds and then start to flash slowly along with the beeps. Countthe number of flashes or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the second digit of the required PIN and turn theignition OFF and ON

8. Repeat the process for the 3rd and 4th digits.9. Once you have entered 4 numbers, the siren will beep one long tone to indicate their entry. You then have to

confirm your selected PIN number by entering it again10. Turn the ignition ON and repeat the above procedure with the same PIN.11. Once re�entered, turning the ignition OFF completes the procedure. If the PIN is confirmed correctly, then the

alarm system will give 2 short tones. If the PIN is confirmed incorrectly, then the alarm system will give 3 longtones.

Note:a) You can disarm the alarm system with the transmitter at any time.b) If the ignition is left off and no action is taken within 3 minutes, the alarm system reverts to normal mode.c) If the ignition is left on for more than 10 seconds, the alarm will revert to disarmed mode.d) The factory set default PIN number is 0000 but this PIN number is non operational and therefore cannot be used.

Changing the PIN

The PIN can be changed at any time simply by repeating the PIN entry procedure. The original PIN will be deletedand the new PIN will disarm the alarm.

Disarming the system with the PIN

If the transmitter is lost or damaged, or the transmitter battery is flat, the system can be overridden by thepreviously entered four digits PIN (Personal Identification Number) used in conjunction with the ignition switch. ThePIN procedure can only be used after a full alarm reaction has been initiated.

The procedure is as follows: �

1. Turn the ignition ON to initiate an alarm reaction, (immediate if the alarm is armed, or after 10 seconds, if theimmobiliser only is armed).

2. The alarm will sound for 30 seconds and the indicators will flash for 30 seconds. Do not turn the ignition OFFduring the sounding phase.

3. When the alarm reaction stops, the motorcycle LED will be on constantly for 5 seconds. During this 5�secondperiod, turn the ignition OFF and ON.

4. The override procedure will start immediately, indicated by rapid flashes of the LED for 3 seconds which thenchanges to a slow flash combined with beeps as detailed within the PIN entry section above.

5. Count the number of SLOW flashes from the LED or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the first digit of thePIN code and then turn the ignition OFF and ON. Again if you have selected Zero as your first PIN number youmust turn the ignition OFF and ON immediately the rapid flashes stop.

6. The system will then return to the rapid LED flash sequence for 3 seconds and then go toSLOW flashes/beeps. Count the number of flashes or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the second digit of the

PIN code and then turn the ignition OFF and ON.7. Repeat the sequence to enter the 3rd and 4th PIN numbers

If entered correctly, the alarm will disarm and the motorcycle LED will flash once.

Hazard warning lights

Press both the Grey and Black buttons of the remote control for 3 seconds when the ignition is OFF and the alarmsystem is armed will start the hazard warning lights. If the motorcycle battery voltage is too low to maintain this feature,the lights will flash 5 times and then stop.

To turn off the hazards, either press both buttons again (leaving the system armed) or press the Grey button todisarm the alarm system and turn off the hazard lights.

‘Panic locator’ feature

Press and hold the Black button of the remote for 3 seconds with the ignition switched OFF to enter ‘panic/locator’mode. The siren will sound and the indicators will flash until either button is pressed on the remote control to turn thepanic/locator mode off. When exited, the alarm system reverts to the original state held before the button was pressedto activate the panic/locate mode.

The PIN override system

The alarm system has a PIN disarming feature. As a new product there is no PIN number programmed into thealarm, therefore we strongly recommend the customer enters their chosen 4 digit number as one of their first priorities.

NOTE: If a PIN number is not entered and the remote controls lost or damaged whilst out riding, the system cannotbe disarmed without access to the second remote control.

The PIN can be over�written at any time provided you have access to both a coded�in remote control and ignitionkeys.

Should you need to change any setting of the alarm or introduce extra remote controls you will either have to knowthe customer’s PIN number or over�write the existing PIN with a new one. We suggest for engineering purposes a PINof 1111 is used, however due to security issues you must advise the customer to change this to their own PIN. Thisis especially important if you have over�written their PIN to alter the system settings or add remote controls.

Entering a new PIN code

To initialize the PIN number the following procedure should be followed: �

1. Disarm the alarm system using the remote control. The LED will flash to signify how many remote controls arecoded into the alarm.

2. Immediately after this, turn the Ignition ON, OFF and ON within 5 seconds3. Press both buttons on the remote control within 10 seconds of turning the ignition back ON until the siren beeps

confirmation (3 seconds)4. Turn the ignition OFF and ON5. The LED fitted to the machine will flash rapidly for 3 seconds6. After 3 seconds the flashes will slow and a beep will be heard with each slow flash. Count the number of slow

flashes or beeps from the siren unit until it equals the first digit of the required PIN and turn the ignition OFF andON. If you wish to enter a Zero turn the ignition OFF and ON immediately the rapid flashes stop (i.e. before thefirst slow flash).

Выход дополнительную сирену (провод с зеленой/желтой маркировкой)При включении тревоги на проводе с зеленой/желтой меткой появляется положительный сигнал 500 мА.

Этот провод можно использовать для подключения дополнительной сирены или пейджера. Если потребляе�мый ток подключаемого устройства выше 500 мА, установите дополнительное реле.

Если провод не используется, заизолируйте и надежно спрячьте его для возможного использования вбудущем.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Не подключайте выход к мотоциклетному клаксону, во избежание выхода его из строя.

Завершение установкиЗакончив подключения, соедините разъемы на блоке сигнализации с разъемами жгута проводов.При поставке с завода сигнализация находится в “зимнем” режиме, поэтому при подаче питания ничего не

произойдет. Для включения сигнализации включите зажигание, в течение 5 секунд сигнализация будет пода�вать звуковые сигналы. В течение этих 5 секунд нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления, иначе по окончании5 секунд включится тревога.

Проверьте работу сигнализации во всех режимах согласно Руководству пользователя. Выполните необхо�димые программные настройки, настройте чувствительность и режим работы датчиков.

После успешного завершения проверки, уложите разъемы в металлический защитный кожух, закройтекрышку кожуха и прикрутите ее четырьмя винтами из комплекта.

Automatic reZarming

To ensure the machine remains covered at least at the level chosen if it is accidentally disarmed, when the systemis disarmed it automatically starts a 45 second countdown after which the system will auto re�arm at the SAME level itwas last armed in (i.e. Passive immobiliser, Full alarm or in ‘Ferry Mode’).

If the ignition is turned or one of the trigger switches is operated (e.g. seat removed if the switch is fitted to it)within the 45 second countdown period, the unit will then arm in the state chosen for passive arming (i.e. passiveimmobilisation, when set to default).

If the transmitter is accidentally pressed more than once within 45 seconds, the alarm system will always default tofully armed.

‘Sleep’ mode

The systems include a three level Sleep Procedure to reduce the current consumption of the system as themotorcycle battery starts to discharge. This system reduces the risk of damaging the machine’s battery through beingleft in a discharged state.

The levels of sleep are as follows: �


� The LED flash rate is slowed to once every 10 seconds.� The receiver is switched off unless the LED is turned on (i.e. the alarm will only disarm as the LED flashes).

All other features remain unchanged.


� The LED flash rate is slowed to once every 30 seconds and the brightness of the LED is reduced� The Siren gives a low level audible beep every 60 seconds (to warn you of a potential battery failure).� Shock Sensor is turned off (the movement sensor remains turned on).� The receiver is switched off and the remote will not turn off the alarm until the ignition is turned ON.


� The LED is turned OFF� The Siren Beep is turned off� The internal battery back�up is turned off

If you wish to disarm the alarm, in sleep levels two and three, turn the ignition on and press the Grey button of theremote control.

To further extend battery life the unit can be put into ‘Winter mode’

1. В комплекте сигнализации поставляется несколько адаптеров, которые удобно ис�пользовать при заделке ключа. Выберите наиболее подходящий по длине и ширине.

2. Зажмите ключ тиски параллельно лезвию и отрежьте одну половину головки Внима�ние! При выполнении этой операции помните, что в головке ключа может находитьсятранспондерный чип заводской охранной системы! (Примечание: В некоторых случаяхпосле выполнения этой операции вторая часть головки может быть свободно удалена.Если это произошло, переходите к обработке металлического лезвия ключа.)

3. Если пластмассовая головка не отделилась от металла, переверните ключ в тискахи отрежьте вторую половину головки. Остатки пластика удалите ножом. Выберитеподходящий адаптер из комплекта (при необходимости подгоните ключ с помощьюнапильника или надфиля).4. Вставьте ключ в замок зажигания и убедитесь, что руль не блокируется. Выберитенаилучшее положения корпуса пульта управления сигнализацией на лезвии ключа иотметьте центр крепежного отверстия. Разметку необходимо произвести с особойточностью, так как неправильное положение крепежного отверстия может привести ктому, что ключ не будет полностью вставляться в замок зажигания или руль будетблокироваться.

5. Накерните центр и просверлите отверстие диаметром 3,5 мм.

6. Вставьте ключ в адаптер и поместите эту конструкцию в корпус пульта управления.Если ключ оснащен транспондерным чипом, установите его в предусмотренное дляэтого место на верхней крышке пульта управления и зафиксируйте каплей клея илисиликонового герметика. Примечание: Если используется чип типа Phillips, среднююперемычку в зоне установки чипа надо удалить.

7. Соедините верхнюю и нижнюю крышки пульта управления и закрутите крепежныйвинт. Убедитесь, что пульт управления работает нормально, ключ без затрудненийуправляет замком зажигания и замок руля надежно разблокируется.

If you press the Black button of the remote after more than 10 seconds of arming the alarm nothing will happenand the alarm will still remain fully armed with the movement sensors ON.

This process has to be carried out EVERY time you wish the alarm to be in ‘Ferry’ mode.

Disarming the system

To disarm the system from the armed state, simply press the Grey button on the remote control. The unit will thenflash the indicators once to indicate it has been disarmed. Remember to turn the ignition on within 45 seconds or thesystem will auto re�arm in the same state as it was armed prior to disarming.

Note: Each time the system is disarmed the LED on the machine will flash the equivalent number of times equalto the total number of remote controls, including PIR’s, coded into the system. This ensures the customer will alwaysknow they are in possession of all remote controls capable of operating the system.

If it is found there are extra, unknown remote controls coded into the alarm, you can exclude these from the unit.Please advise the customer should you wish to charge for this service.

Disarming the system after it has been triggered

If the system has been triggered in your absence, when the alarm system is disarmed you will hear an extended‘beep’ followed by a number of short beeps to indicate the reason for the trigger. The table below identifies the cause.

Silent arming/disarming

If the customer has requested the audible arming tones to be active the alarm can still be armed or disarmed thesystem without the tones on a one�off basis.


To do this, simply press the Black button of the remote control followed by the Grey button. The system will arm ordisarm silently for this one operation only and just flash the indicators.

Arming the system

Passive arming.

Unless the unit has been placed in ‘winter’ mode, the system always passively arms 45 seconds after the ignitionis turned off. When the ignition is turned OFF the LED will light continuously and after 40 seconds emit a set increasingrate beeps follow by the LED changing to flashing to indicate the system has armed.

The audible signal is to warn the customer the system is about to arm as an immobiliser only, so acting as areminder to arm the system fully should they wish to do so. This audible signal cannot be deleted.

When set passively the system only arms the immobiliser and anti hot$wire trigger.

If the customer wishes to make the alarm fully arm passively, it can be done via the software switches coveredwithin the customization section of this manual. If full passive arming is selected the LED does not illuminate when theignition is turned off and you do not get the warning beeps in the last 5 seconds of the arming period. The systemsimply flashes the indicators TWICE when the alarm arms.

This software switch is available to the customer should they wish to do this themselves.

Fully arming the alarm system (Active remote arming).

To fully arm the alarm system to give movement, nudge, trigger switch and battery back$up coverage, press theGrey button on the remote control within 45 seconds of turning off the ignition.

The system will flash the indicators twice.

The LED will start to flash 5 seconds after pressing the remote and will be fully armed after 20 seconds.

If you have changed the default settings within the software section and selected FULL passive arming of both thealarm and immobiliser the alarm will automatically arm along with the immobiliser 45 seconds after turning off theignition and be fully active 20 seconds later or you can still arm it instantly by pressing by pressing the Grey button ofthe remote within the first 45 seconds after turning off the ignition.

If the system has passively armed as an immobiliser and you wish to arm it fully, simply press the Grey buttonTWICE. The first press disarms the system, the second arms it fully.

Arming the system without the movement sensor (‘Ferry’ Mode).

To arm the alarm system but have both the movement and nudge sensors turned off; press the black button within10 seconds of arming the system with the grey button of the remote control.

The system will flash twice to indicate the alarm has been armed and then give three further flashes of theindicators to confirm the movement sensors have been turned OFF. The system will still have immobilised the machineand the alarm will react if the machine is hot$wired, the supply to the alarm is tampered with or one of the triggerswitches is activated.

Operating instructions

From this point forward this manual mirrors the owner’s manual but explains the operation of thealarm system from an installer’s viewpoint.

It is advised you read the full operating instructions of the security system to become fully familiarwith its operation.

Certain sections of this manual are specific to you the installer only.

Changing the remote control battery

Each remote control contains a single long�life lithium battery (CR1616). This battery will normally last at least 12months. Normal range for the remote control is around 10 metres. As the battery within the remote comes to the endof its life you will notice a reduction in its range and the battery should be replaced.

1. To replace the battery remove the small screw from the ‘key end’ of the remoteand split the two halves of the case.

NOTE: The screw is threaded into a sleeve nut on the other half of the remote takecare not to loose this piece.

IMPORTANT: Take care not to lose the screw and ignition key blade/transponder ifthe key conversion has been carried out.

2. Lift the printed circuit board from the remote and slide out the circular batteryfrom its holder noting the polarity.

Maintaining the polarity of the battery, slide the new battery into the battery holder.

Fit the PCB back into its rubberized holder.

3. If a transponder chip is fitted in the remote it is essential you check it is still securewithin the top casing at this moment

4. After checking any OE transponder chip is still located within the top half of thecasing, fit the assembly into the top casing so the Grey and Black buttons drop intotheir respective holes.

At this stage it is a good idea to press the remote control buttons to check they areoperating correctly, this will be shown by the LED of the remote control illuminating(and the alarm system arming/disarming if you are within range and the system isnot in winter mode).

5. Refit the ignition key blade into its holder, if required.

Clip the bottom casing to the top half and replace and tighten the screw, so holdingthe two halves securely.

Тихая постановка/снятие с охраныПри сохранении заводской установки постановка и снятие сигнализации с охраны всегда, если не включа�

лась тревога, производится без звукового подтверждения. Однако если при установке сигнализации Вы вклю�чили звуковые сигналы подтверждения, сигнализация все равно может быть поставлена и снята с охраны беззвукового подтверждения.

Чтобы при программно включенных звуковых сигналах подтверждения поставить/снять сигнализацию сохраны без звукового подтверждения, перед нажатием серой кнопки нажмите черную кнопку – сигнализацияподтвердит постановку/снятие с охраны только вспышками фонарей.

Автоматическая перепостановка на охрану

Если в течение 45 секунд после снятия с охраны Вы не включили зажигание, сигнализация автоматическивернется в тот режим охраны, который предшествовал снятию (режим иммобилайзера, режим полной охраныили режим охраны с отключенными датчиками).

Если в течение 45 секунд любой из концевых выключателей изменял свое состояние или зажигание быловключено и выключено, сигнализация включит режим иммобилайзера.

NOTE: Extra care should be taken if the existing ignition key contains an inbuilt transponder system designed toimmobilise the machine. Should the transponder chip be damaged whilst removing it from the ignition key the machinemay not be able to be started and a replacement chipped key may have to be purchased.

Please note that this is based on a basic key without a transponder chip. If the key is chipped witha transponder it is recommended that where possible this is removed prior to cutting the key.

1. The alarm is supplied with a series of adapters to suit most key sizes. Select thekey adapter most suitable for the width and thickness of the key you are converting

2. Place the key in a vice and cut the key parallel to the length of the key blade on thefirst side (remember the transponder chip if applicable). In certain instances the plasticwill come away from the key blade at this stage. If this is the case remove the plasticand carry out the next stage on the bare metal key. Accuracy in carrying out the cuttingat this stage can save considerable time filing the key to match the key adapters.

3. Reposition the key in the vice and cut the second side. If the plastic is still attached tothe key at this stage it can normally be easily removed with a sharp craft knife. File thekey to accurately match the adapter size, if required.

4. Position the cut down key fully within the ignition barrel and check any movementrequired to operate the steering lock assembly. Carefully select the best position forthe transmitter housing and mark position for the centre of the transmitter screw. This stage is very important, if the key is cut and drilled in the wrong position, thekey may not fit the ignition barrel or operate the steering lock correctly. It is goodpractice to check the other locks on the machine at this stage.

5. Centre punch the transmitter screw position and drill the key carefully to a diameterof 3.5mm. De�burr the hole if required.

6. Fit the key blade into the adapter and position this into the remote assembly. Ifan immobiliser transponder chip is to be fitted to the remote control it is best installed inthe area of the top case designed for this purpose, with a small amount of siliconesealant at this stage. If a Phillips type chip is being fitted the small tab in the centre ofthe area should be fully removed (see the battery replacement procedure, page 26, toview the transponder chip in position).

7. Fit the transmitter top to the lower casing and replace the sleeve nut and machinescrew to secure the key blade into the transmitter assembly. Test the transmitter forcorrect functioning and operation of the machine’s ignition and steering lock.

Уровень 2 – включается при напряжении аккумулятора 10,5В� Частота мигания светодиода понижается до 1 раза в 30 секунд, понижается яркость свечения.� Сирена каждые 60 секунд подает тихий звуковой сигнал, предупреждая Вас, что батарея разряжена.� Датчик удара выключается (датчик наклона остается включенным).� Приемник выключается и сигнализацию нельзя снять с охраны до включения зажигания.

Уровень 3 – включается при напряжении аккумулятора 9,8В� Светодиод выключается.� Звуковые сигналы выключаются.� Встроенная батарея автономного питания выключается.

Для снятия сигнализации с охраны при включенном 2 или 3 уровне энергосбережения вклюZчите зажигание и нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления.

Включение аварийной сигнализацииMongoose PENTACLE M�1 позволяет включить аварийную сигнализацию, даже если Ваш мотоцикл не обо�

рудован такой функцией. При выключенном зажигании и включенном режиме охраны одновременно на 3секунды нажмите черную и серую кнопки пульта управления, индикаторные фонари начнут мигать.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Прекращение мигания фонарей после пяти вспышек означает, что аккумулятор мотоцикласильно разряжен и включение аварийной сигнализации отменено системой во избежание дальнейшего раз�ряда.

Для отключения аварийной сигнализации либо еще раз на три секунды нажмите обе кнопки пульта управ�ления (сигнализация при этом останется на охране), либо нажмите серую кнопку для снятия сигнализации сохраны и одновременного выключения аварийной сигнализации.

Паника/поискПри выключенном зажигании нажмите и удерживайте в течение 3 секунд черную кнопку пульта управления

The optional supplementary siren output (Green/Yellow tagged wire)

The Green/Yellow tagged wire gives 500mA of positive output only when the siren is sounding. This can be use todrive additional sirens and paging/text systems. Any such items are not part of the standard installation and thereforeshould be treated as extras and charged accordingly.

Some devices require a negative signal to trigger them, in these cases the signal can be converted via a standard12 Volt switching relay.

If more than 500mA is required to drive the supplementary device(s); use the output to drive a relay.

If you are not using this output the end of the wire should be insulated, the Green/Yellow tags should be left on andthe wire stored safely in a suitable position. This position should be recorded on the customer’s certificate of installation.

Transferring the wiring and commissioning the alarm

The alarm is shipped in ‘Winter’ mode, so nothing will happen until the ignition is turned ON.

To commission the alarm, turn the ignition on and the system will start to beep with an increasing rate for 5seconds. After 5 seconds the alarm will sound unless disarmed by pressing the Grey button of the remote control.

The alarm should now be fully tested by following the operating instructions.

If any adjustments are to be made to the ways the system is to operate (e.g. adjust the movement sensor) a PINwill have to be taught to the alarm. 1111 is the easiest to programme (follow the operating instructions).

Make the required adjustments and always advise the customer for security to set their own PIN. This can besimply carried out by over�writing the existing PIN with the new one (any previous PIN will be deleted).

Only when you are fully satisfied the system is working correctly, fit the metal security as shown in the diagrambelow. (Please note: To comply with insurance standards the security torx screws provided with the kit MUST be used.These should be further secured using thread lock adhesive).

Rebuild the machine and carry out a post installation check to ensure the machine is still working correctly and nodamage has occurred during the installation.

Combining the ignition key with the remote control

For added convenience the existing ignition key can be integrated into the front of the remotecontrol. These remotes also contain a special area to house most types of original equipment immobiliser transponder

chips.

Включение зимнего режимаПри выключенной охране и включенном зажигании нажмите обе кнопки на пульте управления и удержи�

вайте их в течение 10 секунд (до звукового сигнала). Выключите зажигание – сигнализация войдет в зимнийрежим, потребление тока сигнализацией от аккумуляторной батареи снизится до 250µА.

Выключение зимнего режимаДля выключения зимнего режима просто включите зажигание, сирена в течение 5 секунд будет подавать

звуковые сигналы возрастающего тона. В течение этих 5 секунд нажмите серую кнопку пульта управления.Если кнопка пульта не нажата до окончания серии звуковых сигналов, включится тревога.

PIN кодВ целях повышения секретности управления для снятия сигнализации с охраны используется PIN код,

состоящий из четырех цифр, который программируется пользователем.

ВНИМАНИЕ! Сигнализация не имеет заводской установки PIN кода, поэтому пользователю настоятельнорекомендуется запрограммировать свой собственный PIN код в начале эксплуатации системы. Если этого несделать, то при потере или порче пультов управления не будет возможности снять сигнализацию с охраны,запрограммировать дополнительные пульты управления, изменить установки программируемых функций.

Если Вам необходимо изменить установки программируемых функций, а пользователь еще не установилили не помнит свой PIN код (но исправный пульт управления есть в наличии), установите свой PIN код, напри�мер, 1111. После того как изменение установок функций завершено рекомендуйте пользователю изменитьPIN код, чтобы не снижать секретность управления сигнализацией.

Первоначальное программирование PIN кода

The System LED connections (Orange and Grey tagged wires)

Where possible agree the position for the system LED with the customer when discussing their requirements andfit it accordingly.

Do not fit more than one LED. It will increase the current usage of the system.

The LED can be installed by three methods:

In its plastic shroud via a drilled 8mm holeBy use of the self adhesive LED holder in conjunction with the plastic shroudBy interference fit of the LED into an exact size hole drilled for the LED only (hole size 5mm)

The final solution is becoming the most popular with the LED being installed into the rear taillight. With the currenttrend towards LED based rear light clusters it is very important the circuit board on the tail light is not damaged.

DO NOT DRILL the back of the tail light of this design unless you are absolutely sure you will not damage the LEDarray. Often on this type of display it is possible to carefully drill the assembly so the alarm LED is fitted between theLED array and the lens of the tail light (normally at the top). When doing this, the LED wires themselves normally haveto be bent over. Always position the LED so the wires can be bent in the right direction easily. DO NOT BEND the wiresover on another.

Consider if the LED needs to be disconnected to service or clean the machine. If it does it may be better to installbullet connectors to make the process easier.

Should you decide to use bullet connectors, always fit a female bullet on the GREY tagged wire coming from thealarm and a male bullet on the ORANGE tagged wire. The GREY tagged wire carries the LED positive supply so byfitting the Female bullet to it you protect it from shorting out. It also means should you ever need to replace or refit theLED you will always connect it the right way round.

N.B. The system LED is rated at 2volts DO NOT TESTS IT ACROSS A 12 VOLT BATTERY. IT MAY EXPLODE! If youwish to test the LED directly use a 1.5 Volt battery, the Grey wire of the LED is Positive The Orange wire is Negative.

Если при подтверждении введен правильный PIN код, сирена подаст два коротких сигнала. Если PIN код,введенный при подтверждении, не соответствует установленному, Вы услышите три длинных сигналасирены.

Примечания:a) После установки PIN кода Вы также можете снять сигнализацию с охраны с помощью пульта управления

в любое время.b) Если при программировании PIN кода зажигание останется выключенным, и Вы не выполните никаких

действий в течение 3 минут, сигнализация автоматически выйдет из режима программирования.c) Если при программировании PIN кода зажигание останется включенным более 10 секунд, сигнализация

автоматически выйдет из режима программирования.d) PIN код “0000”не может быть использован для снятия сигнализации с охраны, даже если такой PIN код

был установлен.

Изменение PIN кодаВы всегда можете изменить PIN код, повторив процедуру, описанную выше, и введя новый PIN код. PIN

код, введенный ранее при этом будет отменен.

Снятие сигнализации с охраны с использованием PIN кода Если отсутствует исправный пульт управления сигнализацией, снять сигнализацию с охраны можно введя

запрограммированный PIN код. Для ввода PIN кода:1. Включите зажигание. Включится тревога (немедленно, если сигнализация находится в режиме охраны,

или через 10 секунд, если сигнализация находится в режиме иммобилайзера).2. Сирена включится на 30 секунд, и индикаторные фонари будут мигать в течение 30 секунд. Не выключай�

те зажигание до окончания 30 секундного режима тревоги!3. По окончании тревоги светодиод загорится в постоянном режиме на 5 секунд. В течение этих 5 секунд

Программирование пультов управленияВ комплекте сигнализации поставляется два пульта управления, однако сигнализация способна запомнить

до 6 пультов управления. При необходимости запрограммировать дополнительные пульты управления выпол$ните следующую процедуру:

1. Снимите сигнализацию с охраны с помощью пульта управления или PIN кодом.2. Светодиод сериями вспышек покажет количество пультов управления записанных в память системы. По

звуковых сигналов.

Программирование системыОхранная система имеет две программируемых функции, установки которых пользователь может изме$

нять в процессе эксплуатации и восемь установочных функций, которые должны настраиваться квалифициро$ванным персоналом после установки охранной системы.

Для входа в программирование функций необходимо сначала полностью выполнить процедуру про$граммирования пультов управления и включить зажигание (в п.12 процедуры, как описано выше). Alarm protection switch (Green/Black and Green/Red wires)

The kit comes supplied with a magnetic reed switch for this purpose. Other switches such as Micro switches canbe substituted for this switch if required.

The switching arrangement is change of state and basically the Green/Red wire is the trigger line and the Green/Black wire is an earth supplied from the alarm. When armed if the earth is applied or removed from the Green/Red wirethe alarm will trigger.

Fit the magnetic reed switch so the alarm would be triggered by the removal of a seat or body panel before thealarm ECU is accessed.

Choose an area where the switch and magnet can be placed in close proximity to each other. When correctlyoriented the air gap can be up to 35 mm, however mounting the switch or magnet on ferrous metal (steel) or rotatingthe magnet will reduce this range. DO NOT MOUNT THE SWITCH/MAGNET ASSEMBLY WITH STEEL IN BETWEEN.

Connect the two wires of the switch, one to the Green/Red wire of the alarm and the other to the Green/Black wireof the alarm. The switch has a self�adhesive backing to assist in mounting and is also supplied with screws if thismethod is preferred. If using the self�adhesive system, clean and de�grease the area thoroughly prior to fitting.

Fit the magnet on the removable panel/seat adjacent to the switch using the fitting methods described above.If several switches are to be used they must be run in series, not parallel. This method also applies to accessory

loop protection where in�line connectors are positioned so soft luggage/accessories can be protected by running anextension wire through them and remaking the continuous trigger circuit.

Secondary trigger circuit (Green tagged wire)

If you do not use this wire it should be positioned in a safe location with the Green tag still on and its position notedon the certificate of installation, so it can be identified and accessed at a future date (DO NOT CUT IT OFF!).

Для выхода из режима программирования пользовательских функций просто выключите заZжигание.

Функция 3 (3 сигнала сирены). Переход к установочномупрограммированию.

Изменения установочных функций должно производиться квалифицированным персоналомустановочного центра. Пользователю категорически не рекомендуется изменять установки этихфункция, так как неквалифицированная настройка может привести к сбоям в работе охраннойсистемы.

Дойдя до функции №3 в таблице пользовательских функций для перехода к настройке установочных фун�кций:

(Care: There is a third wire within the machine which will flash which ever way the indicator switch is set when theignition is on. This wire is the output from the indicator relay to the indicator switch and you must not connect the pinkwires of the alarm system to this).

Dioding the Indicator relayDuring testing you may have found the indicator relay requires an in�line diode to be installed. It is important this

is done. Omitting this may cause the alarm fuse to blow at a later date and potentially leave the customer stranded.

The diode can be fitted in either the feed to the relay from the fuse box or the output from the relay to the indicatorswitch, it doesn’t matter which as long as it is connected the correct way round.

The input wire will be an ignition switched positive from the fuse box to the indicator relay. If this wire is cut theband on the diode should face towards the relay.

The output wire is the third wire within the harness, described above. This wire flashes whether the indicator switchis set to the left or right, not just left or just right. When this wire is cut the diode is positioned with the band facing awayfrom the relay.

If you are unsure which way to fit the diode, cut the selected wire, hold the diode in line and with the ignition on setthe indicator to the left or right. If the indicators work normally, you have got it the right way round. If they do notreverse the diode and test again.

Once you have it the right way round, solder it in line and protect the joints with heat shrink or good quality tape.

The wire being immobilised is ‘earthed out’ to stop the machine running.The White tagged wire of the alarm is connected to earth.The White/Red tagged wire is connected to the wire being immobilised.The White/Green wire is not used

The 12 volt positive ignition switched supply (Brown tagged wire)

This wire stops the alarm from arming when the ignition is turned ON. It also is used to pull the immobilisation relaycontact together when the system is disarmed and the ignition is ON.

It is important the wire remains positive when all the machines controls are operated. Should the power fall awayfrom this wire the machine will cut out. For this reason we advice you connect to an ignition switched positive supplywhich is run critical. In this way if the power to this wire fails the machine would stop anyway and therefore supplytaken becomes as safe as the machine itself.

One exception to this is using a kill switched controlled ignition supply. Should this supply be used it is O.K. but itmust be explained to the customer that the immobiliser will arm if the kill switch is turned to OFF.

Many installers use other circuits (e.g. the rear brake light supply). Whilst this will work it should be realized if thefuse blows to this circuit (possibly due to a fault on the machine itself) the machine would stop and as the OE fuseblown is not related to the running of the machine in the standard form the customer may not find it easily.

The Indicator connections (2 x Pink tagged wires)

The alarm system should be connected to the Left and Right indicator positive feeds. Do not connect to thenegative wire of the indicator. On some machines you may only be able to make the rear or front indicators operatewithout the inclusion of extra diodes into the indicator outputs of the alarm system.

функции. Для возврата к заводским установкам выполните следующую процедуру:1. Выберите функцию 2 (сирена подаст два звуковых сигнала низкого тона).2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта одновременно. Двойной звуковой сигнал подтвердит возврат всех функций к

заводским установкам.3. Нажмите серую кнопку для выхода из функции 2 и переходу к функции 3 или нажмите черную кнопку для

перехода к функции 1.4. Если для выхода из функции Вы нажмете обе кнопки пульта одновременно, Вы выйдете из функции, но

останетесь на той же позиции.

Функция 3. Память тревог.Эта функция позволяет посмотреть причины 5 последних тревог в обратной последовательности. Индика�

ции производится сериями вспышек светодиода системы. Каждому событию соответствует своя серия:

D.C. Immobilisation

The wire to be immobilised is cut and rejoined via the White and White/Green wires.The White/Red wire is not used.

AC Method

Identify the wire which when earthed out stops the ignition pack creating a spark. This wire normally runs from theIgnition switch and/or Kill switch to the ignition pack and will have an earth on it when the machine is not running andbe isolated, have a minimal earth on it or be pulsing when the machine is running.

Connect either the White or White/Red wire to a suitable good earth supply and the remaining wire to the enginekill wire.

When the immobiliser circuit is armed the engine kill wire will be earthed out via the immobiliser circuit and hencewill not run.

Функция 5. Настройка датчика удара.Датчик удара имеет 10 уровней чувствительности. Заводская установка – уровень 8.Независимо от установленного уровня чувствительности, режим включения тревоги от датчика удара мож�

но выбрать функцией 8.

Для настройки чувствительности датчика выполните следующую процедуру:1. Выберите функцию 5. Сирена подаст 5 звуковых сигналов.2. Нажмите обе кнопки пульта для входа в режим настройки.3. Сирена подаст тройной сигнал, и светодиод системы будет мигать сериями вспышек соответствующими

установленной чувствительности.4. Для увеличения чувствительности нажимайте серую кнопку, для уменьшения – черную. Каждый раз при

нажатии кнопки будет раздаваться сигнал сирены, и количество вспышек в серии будет меняться.5. При достижении максимального или минимального уровня чувствительности звуковые сигналы прекра�

тятся.Проверка уровня чувствительности:Для проверки чувствительности датчика стукните по мотоциклу. Если уровень чувствительности достаточ�

ный для восприятия удара приложенной силы, последует серия звуковых сигналов. Проверку можно прово�дить несколько раз, однако, между ударами должен быть перерыв не менее 5 секунд для успокоения датчика.Если уровень чувствительности неудовлетворительный продолжите настройку серой или черной кнопкой.

Когда необходимый уровень достигнут, нажмите обе кнопки для подтверждения и выхода из режима на�стройки.

MAIN NEGATIVE SUPPLIES (Black tagged Wires)Two ground wires are for immobilisation safety, as the alarm system would have to lose both earths before there

was a potential problem with the immobilisation. For the same reason it is very important these two wires are connectedto two separate points on the machine.

These points can be on the frame or within the wiring harness but should never be mixed and never taken directlyto the battery. Any harness based earth should be tested to ensure it is a true earth and does not change when theignition is turned on and switches are operated. If unsure refer to the machine’s wiring diagram.

We advise the use of harness�based earths in most cases. Frame earths, especially on anodized frames, can bevery poor.

Immobilisation

The Starter cut (Yellow tagged wires)Identify the wire, which controls the starter relay (maximum load 7 amps) and cut it. Where possible remove a

section of the original cable and rejoin this wire via the 2 Yellow tagged wires of the alarm harness (one to the starterrelay end and one to the main harness end). These wires are non�directional so it doesn’t matter which Yellow wire isconnected to the relay end or the harness end.

Under no circumstances should the heavy�duty wire, which powers the Starter motor itself, be cut.

On most machines the starter trigger will be a Positive when the ignition is turned on and the Starter button ispressed, however this is not always the case. Many scooters and nearly all Yamaha motorcycle control the starter relayvia a Negative signal when the starter button is pressed.

The Engine cut (White and White/Red or White and White/Green wires)

There are two main means of immobilising a machine, the first and most common is by cutting a wire which isessential to the running of the machine (DC cut method), the second is by earthing out a signal wire so the ignitionsystem cannot create the spark needed for the engine to run (AC ‘earth out’ method). Which ever method is used theimmobilisation point should be made as inaccessible as possible. One immobiliser wire will always be unused dependingon the method of immobilisation. The spare wire should be removed from the alarm/immobiliser harness.

DC Method

Identify a wire, which is critical to the engine operating, but which is carrying less than 7 amps and cut it. Withmodern machines it is normally wise to use either the dedicated immobilisation points provided by the manufactureror to use an engine safety interlock (e.g. Side stand switch, Kill switch, Fall over sensor, etc). Other circuits, such asthe fuel pump relay, ignition pack, coils, etc, may be used but refer to the manufacturers manual before using thesecircuits as they may cause the machine to log running faults.

Where possible remove a section of the original cable and rejoin this wire via the White and White/Green wire.These wires are non�directional so it doesn’t matter which wire of the alarm is connected to which end of the cut wire.

номер установленного режима соответствующим количеством вспышек.3. Для выбора режима нажмите любую кнопку пульта. Светодиод соответствующим количеством вспышек

обозначит номер выбранного режима. Выберите режим согласно приведенной ниже таблице:

когда сигнализация находится в режиме полной охраны, приведет к включению тревоги.Рекомендуется: Перед снятие аккумулятора перевести сигнализацию в зимний режим.

The alarm components should be located to ensure the maximum time is required for the thief to access thesystem.

Other factors such as the storage of customer’s personal belongings and other equipment such as intercoms,chain oilers, etc should also be considered.

Only when the main unit positions have been established, should the wiring be investigated.

Main positive and negative connections

MAIN POSITIVE SUPPLY (Red tagged wire)Many machines are now provided with a dedicated 12 Volt positive feed designed to power the alarm system.

Alternatives can be the fuel injection fuse, clock or fan fuse. The rating of this fuse should be between 10 and 20 amps.If the rating is below this the fuse may blow when indicators flash via the alarm system. It is normally safe to increasethe rating of this OE fuse by a small margin (e.g. 7.5 amps to 10amps).

The alarm is equipped with internal protection to deal with shorts on the indicators but it is always advisable to fita protection fuse as this protects the wiring from the fuse to the alarm unit itself. Where possible the fuse should befitted as close as possible to the source of power. The supply should never be taken directly from the battery.
