Drive Test Solution for Mobile Network Test and Measurement

Pilot Pioneer is DingLi's multi-technology standalone radio access network test

and measurement tool. It is an integrated all-purpose product that can be used

for indoor measurement and in-vehicle outdoor drive testing. Various services

tests can be conducted with a wide range of the latest supported commercial

test terminals. Pilot Pioneer test and measurement capability is applicable

throughout the network development lifecycle, therefore allowing network and

service provider to fully leverage on their investment. The collected data reflects

WCDMA WB Test

Pilot Pioneer supports WCDMA Adaptive Multi-Rate

Wideband (AMR-WB) test, and AMR-WB mobile-to-mobile

(connected to the same computer/different computers) audio

quality measurement with POLQA (MOS). This allows AMR-

WB audio quality evaluation between two terminals under the

same or different MSC, MGW, RNC or cell sites.

DCF Data Format

DCF data format is capable of higher storage performance and flexible scalability. It is

also gradually integrated with the rest of Dingli product portfolio as a standard unified data

format.


Hard Dongle License Query

Pilot Pioneer V10.1 supports Hard Dongle License Query and Online Upgrade. Hard

Dongle Serial Number, Expiration Date, Granted Permissions and Online Upgrade are

displayed in the Hard Dongle License Query window.


Online Software Update

Pilot Pioneer 10.1 supports online software updates, which enable customers to conveniently update

their Pilot Pioneer to the latest software releases. Software patches with designated Pilot Pioneer version

can be updated easily, or this feature can be used to install a new software version instead.


Private Server for HTTP Upload Test

The previous HTTP Upload service test is mainly

conducted with YouTube, but the requirement of privacy

by YouTube has become increasingly high. The HTTP

Upload service is therefore no longer tested with

YouTube, as the website protocol is frequently changed.

Dingli however has developed the private server for

HTTP Upload test.


VoLTE Test with Samsung and iPhone

In addition to Nubia, HTC and Huawei, VoLTE test is also supported by

Samsung S7, iPhone 6s and Huawei Mate 8 in this version. During a

VoLTE test, the SIP messages may be decoded and the POLQA based

MOS value can be displayed. The Samsung S7 also supports ViLTE test

and generates corresponding statistics reports for VoLTE test and ViLTE

test.

Carrier Aggregation Test

Multiple FDD-LTE/TDD-LTE CA modes, downlink

3CC, uplink 2CC, Qualcomm and Hisilicon chipset-

based CA test are supported in this version.

The following measurement information and events

can be displayed in real-time:

• CA measurement, network resource allocation,

network quality, data rate, etc.

• Key events, such as secondary component

carrier (CC) modification, CA handover, and

secondary CC activation.

Customized CA statistics reports are also supported

in this version.

G9300/9308 (compatible with FDD-LTE and TCC-

LTE CA)

Single site verification is a three stage process

that includes test, statistics and analysis, and

reporting.

The following functions and KPIs are supported:

High-speed Rail Test with GPS Trajectory Compensation*

CompensationPilot Pioneer V10.1 supports high-speed rail test which may compensate the test routes with GPS

signal lost.

stable positioning

• Intelligent trajectory compensation: intelligent GPS positioning compensation on the travelled

routes with Dingli’s proprietary algorithm, for the precise and actual network measurement

positioning

• Built-in routes: 65 Chinese high-speed rail and urban rail routes; customized route maps for all

Chinese high-speed rail and highway routes

• Flexible test: multi-network and multi-service test with multiple terminals

Huawei mLAB vMOS Test

Video has become a technology consuming most network traffic,

and video service experience has become a key index to

measure network service quality. With the improvement of video

resolution (from 720P/1080P to 4K/8K), video service are

becoming increasingly demanding for the network. Therefore,

the way to evaluate the video service experience under the

current network has become increasingly important to users and

operators.

Dingli cooperates with Huawei MBB to develop the Huawei

vMOS technology. Pilot Pioneer V10.1 has the privilege to

introduce and support Huawei Mobile vMOS, which evaluates

video quality with vMOS score. The vMOS video experience

evaluation (e.g. vMOS scores) is designed to take into

consideration the video source quality, start loading time, stalling

ratio, and video play duration.


USB Test Box Integrated with Test Module

The USB test box with an integrated test module

can be used and connected as one of Pilot Pioneer test.

Features such as of "set test band as required by users

" and "configure CA 2CC as required by users" enable

the USB test box to be used for the initial verification of

newly deployed network.

In addition, the USB test box also supports VoLTE

test, network locking, band locking and cell locking and

provides more test functionalities for the single site

acceptance upon connection with Pilot Pioneer.

Note: Cell locking is only available under the LTE

network.
