Performance

Especially designed to handle the multi-purpose tasks demanded of a breakdown recovery vehicle,the PALFINGER T-cranes convince with their huge lifting capacity, minimal dead-weight, and a goodeye for detail. The two control stands on the PK 16000 T enable great ease of crane operation whileensuring absolute safety. The PK 18000 T model is fitted with a radio remote control and PALTRONIC50 as standard. The laterally arranged extension cylinders guarantee a low total vehicle height whenthe crane boom is extended. The transport position of the extension system reaches only slightlybelow the mounting level.

Return Oil Utilization

Use of the return oil utilization in the boom exten-sion system increases the operating speed by 30 percent.

Load-holding valves

They prevent the crane booms from dropping andare fitted as standard on the main boom cylinder, theextension boom cylinders, and the swivel cylinder.The valves are positioned in such a way that they areprotected from being damaged.

Crane Controls (PK 16000 T)

The controls work proportionally, they are er-gonomically arranged and the low leverage permitsvery sensitive crane control. The crane function con-trol levers are ergonomically displayed on the con-trol panel. The controls are fitted to ensure lowmaintenance.

Central lubrication

For all bearings on the base frame.

Parking height

The extension boothe mounting leveditional work suchthe truck.

Outrigger width

The PK 16000 T and the PK 18000 T can be fitted onall normal truck chassis designs. Three outriggerwidths are possible: 4.6 m (15’ 1”) mechanical, 5.6 m(18’ 4”) or 6.6 m (21’ 7”) hydraulically.

MINIMAL INSTALLATION WIDTH

Extension Boom System

The extension boom cylinders are guided on Jordalrails over guide blocks. The laterally arranged ex-tension cylinders guarantee a low total vehicleheight when the crane is extended.

Internally routed oil ducts

On the multiple extensions there are no hydraulichoses between the cylinders. The internally routedoil passages make it possible to have a compactboom design.

Headlights

The optional headlights on the boom keep theentire field of work well illuminated.

Control stand (outrigger box) (PK 16000 T)

The second control stand is upright with verticallevers fixed to the outrigger box. This enables anideal vision of the load.
