College Readiness - Brewer Learning CenterThis 15 week program is designed to help the person looking to transition to college be better prepared for that experience. Topics covered in this class include: career awareness and exploration, learning styles, study skills, time management and financial aid planning. American Society Through Film - Hampden AcademyThis 45-hour high school Social Studies / English course uses various American films to examine different aspects of modern American society since 1900. Developmental English - Hampden AcademyThis 45-hour high school level course will allow students to hone their skills in reading, writing, listening and critical thinking. The State of Maine has replaced the GED exam with the HiSET exam as its high school equivalency test and we now offer the test in Hampden. We also offer free one-on-one ESL tutoring to our residents.
