TRANSCRIPT
Background
Increasing numbers of students, trainees, and
volunteers participate in global health learning
experiences.
When working and learning in other countries,
safety and cultural sensitivity are paramount.
Despite increased interest and participation,
most students report inadequate pre-departure
training. (AAMC Survey 2015)
Without proper preparation, unfortunate events
can and do occur.
