Who We Are

Marvel Comic fans come from a wide spectrum of backgrounds, but no matter how diverse, or where they are located in the world, common bonds become evident when people come together to celebrate their passion for The legendary super hero Group known as the AVENGERS. Many fans are happy to collect action figures...other fans want to become action figures. Nothing professes your fandom quite like building your own detailed cos-tume replica of an AVENGERS character, and there's nothing quite like the feeling that comes from bringing the characters of Marvel Comics into the real world and sharing the magic with others.

Our organization was founded to basically provide a collective identity for costum-ing fans with similar interests, the AVENGERS INITIATIVE is proud to put its resources to good use through fundraising, charity work, and volunteerism. The Avengers Initiative (hereafter referred to as “The Avengers” or “Initiative”) is a Marvel Comics fan club dedicated to celebrating the Marvel Universe through costuming. The Avengers is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate. What is the Avengers Initiative?

The Avengers Initiative is a Marvel Comics fan club dedicated to celebrating the Marvel Universe through costuming. What can the Avengers Initiative do for me?

There is nothing like a group of superheroes or villains to bring attention to an event. Unlike indi-vidual entertainers, the Avengers Initiative works as a group to create a real-life comic book experi-ence with wide array of professional-grade costumes and props. Our group’s standards help to en-sure a high level of professionalism in both actions and appearance for quality events.

Does the Avengers Initiative charge for appearances?

While we do not charge a fee for appearances (public or private), we encourage donations made to your favorite charity in the name of the Avengers Initiative. If you do not have a charity of choice, our group would gladly provide a list of some that we support. Examples include Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Is the Avengers Initiative a part of marvel or Disney?

The Avengers Initiative recognizes it holds no claim over the costumes and characters it portrays. Our organization acknowledges and respects that these characters are owned by Marvel Entertain-ment and its parent company, Disney. The members of the Avengers Initiative acknowledge and accept that while in costume, we represent the Marvel Entertainment brand and will do so profes-sionally and responsibly at all times.
