ABOUT EMBS

Emerging Markets Business Summit is an innovativecooperation programme between students from WarsawSchool of Economics – the best economic school in CentralEurope – and students from the best business schoolsin developing countries.

21 students from your university will have a chance to cometo Poland to take part in an outstanding business-orientedexchange programme of two weeks` duration. We arepreparing for them workshops and meetings with the mostinfluential people from worldwide business and politicalscene as well as various cultural activities. Following,the participants will organise a similar visit for Polish studentsin your country.

Emerging Markets Business Conference, focusedon international relations and cooperation between emergingmarkets, will be the climax of the exchange.

ORGANISERSWarsaw School of Economics – the best economic school in Central andEastern Europe and the oldest, most selective and best regarded universityof Economics and Management in Poland. Its graduates are makinga significant contribution to the economic, social and political life in Polandand abroad.

University of Warsaw – the largest and one of the best universities in Poland,country`s leader in teaching and research, offering courses in almost40 fields of study (humanities and natural and social studies) and hiringcountry`s best specialists. It is currently cooperating with numerousuniversities abroad.

CEMS Club Warsaw – one of the largest and most active student associationsin Poland, initiating multiple projects and cultural events, helpingcorporations prepare and run promotional events at SGH. The main goalof the organisation is to integrate academic and business worlds.

Warsaw School of Economics Students` Union – the largest studentorganisation at the Warsaw School of Economics with over 150 membersand the largest budget among all organisations; it organises multipleinteresting events for students and cooperate with internationalcorporations.

During a series ofinspirational meetingsand workshops studentswill have a uniqueopportunity to meetin person the mostinfluential people fromworldwide business andpolitical scene.

CONFERENCE

Emerging MarketsBusiness Conference(EMBC) is the biggestseminar in CentralEurope devoted toemerging economies.It is held at the WarsawStock Exchange.Participants will attendlectures and panelson economy, financeand law.

EXCHANGE

Visiting Poland and laterorganising visit to yourcountry is a key elementthat enables studentsto learn how toovercome culturaldifferences and turnthem into advantages ofour cooperation.

PRACTICAL INFORMATIONCostsWe cover all the costs (room andboard + activities) apart from theflight cost. In exchange, we expectthe participants to find sponsorsin order to organise similar visit forus.

ParticipantsEach edition consists of 3 parties:Poland and prestigious universitiesfrom 2 emerging markets. Eachuniversity chooses 21extraordinary students who willrepresent their institution.

Knowledge

Students will get insights intofunctioning of major industriesand acquire specific knowledgeabout economic situation of eachparticipating country.

TimelineWe invite students form yourcountry to Poland in June for two-week organise stay and to theEmerging Markets BusinessConference.
