Civic and Professional Accomplishments

Please see my attached resume & Training records

Training or experience related to this appointment?

Please see the attached resume, I also was a member of a panel that had to move our Rescue Squad independent from our large Fire District, because of the large mlume of calls (12000+/yr) that the mlunteer squad membership could not handle. Ambulances were purchased, and leased, a building was leased, paramedics and Mrs were hired, and now there is a 10 bay building, 10 Ambulances, call mlume is 18,000 calls a yr. and a capital reserve fund of 2. 7 mil with no large in cumbersome loans.

What contributions do you feel you could make if you were selected to this committee/board?

I feel that I can bring personal experiences as a past chief officer, and as a past employee of Sumter County EM, I had personal contact with both Chiefs Robert Hanson - Sumter County Fire Chief, and Edmund Cain - The Villages Fire Department. I know both of these great professionals and we ALL share a great respect for each other. During my short 6 mos. stent with the EM Department I was in constant contact with both Chiefs, their Deputies during COVID-19, and ALL emergency radio issues, as I was responsible for ALL day to day management of radio communication systems for Sumter County. I truly believe that I will be able to have both Chiefs, respect and their confidence that I will hear their mices, and concerns while fully understanding their positions because of my past 41 years of experience. I will be very open and do the best I can to assist this committee bringing the BEST EMS sel"\lice possible to Sumter Counties future. It is my OPINION that this committee will be reviewing and making decisions to decipher mounds of information for the MOST important SERVICE that is delivered to Sumter County residents and visitors besides basic water/sewer and electricity. I truly love this county and its diversity of communities, along with its citizens as I had the opportunity to meet many of them and their community governments while working for EM department. .

Chairman of the NYS Directors of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, 1974-1981

Civic and Professional Accomplishments

Training or experience related to this appointment?

My administrated function required systemic leadership and preparation so to successfully negotiate both State and Federal Quality of Care Standards Analysis and to main successful clinical outcome compliance with both inpatient and outpatient population's treatment goals each year. I managed both a professional and paraprofessional staff in excess of 150 that were responsible to provide both comprehensi-.e inpatient and outpatient mental health services, o-.er a fi-.e County Catchment, to in access of 4500 clients. As Chief of MN Treatment Services, it was my job to continually plan, budget, and evaluate both staff and program performance. Outcome Analysis was a continuing responsibility.

What contributions do you feel you could make if you were selected to this committee/board?

I firmly belie-.e that our 'Emergency Response Services' would benefit from continuing 'outcome analysis' and 'data-dri-.en leadership!! I feel that my experience could permit an external view, hopefully leading to a meaningful contribution to operational evaluation and strategic planning. I see both as critical ingredients for positi-.e growth.

The POA's current President, Mr Cliff Weiner may be consulted on both.
