This urban design project was to create a residential compounf having to natural features at the perpheries to consider in the design. It also required an appropriate organization of vehicular and pedestrian circulationTRANSCRIPT
URBAN DESIGN PROJECT 1:
The goal of the studio was to design large scale urban designs. In this project the design
was of a residential compound taking into account to natural features found at two sides of
the site periphery. The main objective was to create an appropriate orientation as well as
accessibility for all plots. In addition, a pedestrian walkway and public area needed to be
created in the middle of the site overlooking the main natural feature and serving all plots
while being separated from the vehicular network.
