CREDIT SUlSSE DONATES $500,000 TO SMU

Credit Suisse has donated $50,000 to the Singapore Management University (SMU).

Naming of seminar room in return

In recognition of Credit Suisse's generosity, SMU has named in perpetuity an Executive Seminar Room in its Executive Education Conference Centre, located in the SMU Administration Building, the "Credit Suisse Executive Seminar Room".

SMU President Professor Howard Hunter and Mr Didier von Daeniken, Co-Head, Private Banking, Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse graced the unveiling of the seminar room at a ceremony yesterday at SMU Administration Building.

Professor Hunter said that this donation is the start of a close alliance between the university and Credit Suisse. For example, SMU will be inviting principal Credit Suisse professional to give talks and lectures in SMU and share industry experience with faculty and students.

The Credit Suisse Executive Seminar Room is located at level five of the Administration Building and has a capacity of 60. It is suited for interactive MBA-type classes. There are two projectors, two screens and six moveable whiteboards.
