SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The design calculations and working design with

bearing capacity test 03 copies will be submitted for

approval to competent authority within 20 days of

the acceptance of tender.

The contractor will be bound to accept any

correction / changes in the design while checking

and will have no claim what so ever for additional

cost of design and construction due to such

correction / amendment in the design.

After approval of design calculation and detailed

drawings to contractor will to submit 6 fair copies of

the same for final approval and record with the

department for use at site.

All members in concrete with water such as base

slab and wall of reservoir will be RCC (1:1-1/2:3)

nominal mix and members remote from water will

be RCC (1:2:4) nominal mix

The contractor shall cast and keep 6" x 6" x 6" size

cubes for testing from each day bach of concrete

used in the reservoir. The contractor shall get the

crushing strength of cubes tested at his own cost

from approval laborator. For any cube found below

their required strength the contractor will have to

dismantle the relative portion and reconstruct the

same without any extra cost.

The work shall be carried out strictly in accordance

with the sanctioned estimate and approved drawing

/ design / specifications and to the entire

satisfaction of Engineer Incharge.

Reservoir 30,000 gallons copacity with 10% extra

capacity for free board and dead storage/silting at

bottom the height of the base slab of tank shall be 40 ft

above finished ground level which shall be 1-1/2 feet

specified including cost of all following items mentioned

reservior according to the given parameter of the

Dpartment by a structural Engineer having

qualification not less than M.Sc. Structural

Engineering (Civil), registered with the Pakistan

Engineering Council the design shall be approved

by the Superintending Engineer PHE Circle

D.G.Khan. His decision sahll be final. the design

shall be based on following concrete mixture ratio

and allow the design stressed for concrete and

steel.

b) Testing of bearing capacity of soil at the proposed

site of Over Head Reservoir from Govt:

p) Providing Fixing in top tank to lightening condustor

of appropriate design i/c 1" x 1/8" size copper strip

fixes along tank well comlumns and under ground

from lightening condustor to earthing point at 30 ft

(min) away from outer edge of tank foundation i/c

cost of earthing of approved specification.

q) Providing Fixing along periphery on top of tank slan

2-1/2 ft high railing of 1-1/4" i/d size G.I pipe having

two horizontal rows and vertical posts spaced not

more than 3 ft centre to centre i/c cost of G.I

specials with painting in grey enamel paint


r) Providing laying of cement sand grouted brick on

edge paving on 1" thick sand bed laid on properly

dressed compacted and radically outward solping

bed upto outer edge of the columns of the over

head reservoir with finished level of the brick paving

in the centre at 6" high above the plinth level

around the over head reservoir duly provided with

brick masonary on 4" thick 1:6:12 PCC foundation

toe wall on the periphery for protection.

s) Clearance of site of work before construction and

its cleaning development and restoration after

completion of all works over head reservoirs up to

their requires finished plinth level respectable

complete to the entire satisfaction of Engineer

Incharge.

t) Providing and fixing water level indicate gauge lighting

arrestor etc: complete in all respects.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

1. The design calculations and working design with

bearing capacity test 03 copies will be submitted for

approval to competent authority within 20 days of

the acceptance of tender.

2. The contractor will be bound to accept any

correction / changes in the design while checking

and will have no claim what so ever for additional

cost of design and construction due to such

correction / amendment in the design.

3. After approval of design calculation and detailed

drawings to contractor will to submit 6 fair copies of

the same for final approval and record with the

department for use at site.

4. All members in concrete with water such as base

slab and wall of reservoir will be RCC (1:1-1/2:3)

nominal mix and members remote from water will

be RCC (1:2:4) nominal mix

5. The contractor shall cast and keep 6" x 6" x 6" size

cubes for testing from each day bach of concrete

used in the reservoir. The contractor shall get the

crushing strength of cubes tested at his own cost

from approval laborator. For any cube found below

their required strength the contractor will have to

dismantle the relative portion and reconstruct the

same without any extra cost.

6. The work shall be carried out strictly in accordance

with the sanctioned estimate and approved drawing

/ design / specifications and to the entire

satisfaction of Engineer Incharge.

MODE OF PAYMENT

Payment will be made for work done as under:-

I On completion of raft foundation 30&II Completion of Pillers/column upto 40ft: 0.15III Completion of Pillers/column above 40ft: to base
