'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate the

emotional bonding by tying a holy thread

around the wrist. This thread, which pulsates

with sisterly love and sublime sentiments, is

rightly called the 'Rakhi'. It means 'a bond of

protection', and Raksha Bandhan signifies

that the bond must protect the weak from all

that's evil. Our students extended their hands

to tie the strings of bonds not only to their

brothers but also to the people who are left behind. Rituals like Rakhi, there

is no doubt, help ease out various societal strains, induce fellow-feeling,

open up channels of expression, give us an opportunity to rework on our

role as human beings and, most importantly,

bring joy in our lives.

"May all be happy,

May all be free from ills.

May all behold only the good,

May none be in distress."

This has always been the idea

of an ideal Hindu Society.

Newspapers are the world's mirrors.

- James Ellis The theme behind introduc-

ing news paper reading in

class-rooms, is to develop

the Language skills for their

extensive sessions on vocab-

writing. The students will have

a fun time with a new intro-

including palindromes and fun with spellings - a module which

has been designed exclusively for class VI students to acquaint

them with basic phonetics.

Celebrations are an important part of people's

lives in cultures all around the world. Teaching

about celebrations can help students learn

about different cultures as well as understand

more about the way different families celebrate

events. As a part of this we have taken an

initiative to inculcate the habit of respecting the

parents as their first teacher by felicitating the

parents and grandparents of our students who

served the society as a teacher or headmaster.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th Sept. with

great energy and enthusiasm. Ever since the

importance of teachers has been recognized by

the management, by adopting the

"Recommendation concerning the status of

teachers", Teacher's Day is being celebrated

annually. This includes celebrations to honor the

teachers for their special contribution in a

particular field.

Teachers’ DayCelebrations

Independence day celebration: As the colours of the day unfolded, the students of our School celebrated our Country’s 66th Independence day with

a unique programme at Police Grounds & School premises which were witnessed by the various dignitaries of our State Govt, Managements, Staff

and Students.

The message given by our honourable Principal, the enthused patriotic song sung by the students, and the energetic dance performed by the stu-

dents reminded the gathering, the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and left everyone spell bound.

The celebration concluded with a School anthem as a mark of respect to the abode of learning.

A recent study found that

music trains the brain for

higher forms of thinking.

Second graders who were

given music lessons scored

27% higher on proportional mathematic and fractions tests than chil-

dren who received no special instruction. It is an art form, as we all

are emotional beings and every child requires an artistic outlet.

Music may be a child's vehicle of expression. To make sure the

importance of music we introduced music in our regular curriculum

and our children have banged the bell of victory in many competi-

tions conducted by Symphony Music Academy.

The food exhibition helped us to discover how to create

ingredients, their formulations, and their applications successfully,

developing healthy food products. Our teachers conducted a food

important life skill amongst slow learners. The spin-off is for

learners is that they are given the opportunity at school level to

actively engage in the world around them through critical dis-

We offer a multitude of extracurricular activities, including art, music, sports etc. Helping the child to find and pursue his/her passions

which would help in becoming an all-rounded and satisfied adult, We consider the effects of extracurricular activities on the student

to find a balance between activities and leisure time.

Research shows that participating in extra-curricular activities actually increases the livelihood of achieving higher grades, probably

because students who participate in extracurricular activities are more likely to be responsible and use their time wisely. While the type

of extra-curricular activity can matter, altogether extra curricular activities have a positive effect on students academic performance.

SCIENCE IN ASSEMBLYSCIENCE IN ASSEMBLY

Science experiments create innovative thinking and blend education and

fun. These impart and inculcate the technological thinking & knowledge. We

started a process of demonstrating the experiments relating with the science

of day to day life during the School assembly so that the child could see

understand and develop the inquisitive nature towards the things that are

happening around them. A student is able to explore different branches of

science including chemistry, biology, physics by conducting various

experiments.

Science experiments help students to learn the practical aspects of science

in day to day life. Students generally enjoy doing things practically because

theoretical learning sometimes becomes very common. These help the

students to feel whatever they are performing and help them to grasp the

concerned topic quickly. Really, it is great fun for children who use science

experiments in their learning process. They are designed in a playful and

attractive manner so that the kids can enjoy doing them.

The powerful role of music in human experience is indisputable. Throughout

history, daily musical experiences have included children's play songs.

People love music and use it on a regular basis to relax, to entertain, to

exercise, to socialize, and to share their tastes and experiences. Music is

thus a powerful way to bring people together.. Music has a special

capacity to reinforce the social group; to create a sense of shared experi-

ence in which relationships are strengthened. At the same time, music can

be deeply personal, stimulating strong individual emotions and memories a

familiar piece of music can trigger a memory and immediately take us back

to a particular moment..

A key aspect of daily music-making is its extraordinary potential for self-expression and

creativity. With just a voice or a pursed pair of lips, an individual can experiment with ideas, try

out new sounds and begin to compose. The incredible diversity of music from around the globe

and across different periods of history is a tribute to such human creativity and to the way in

which we respond to social conditions and technical constraints. The drive to push

conventional boundaries, and create experiences that are fresh and exciting, has led to

everything from pianos, electric guitars and synthesizers to vast musical works requiring

enormous orchestras and multiple choirs. While humans continue to feel the creative urge to

express themselves musically, music research will afford valuable insights into the nature of the

human condition and its relationship with society.
