Big 6?• Probably wouldn't get much support from any of the big

6 due to the small production cost and niche audience

• If it was successful or offered something appealing there might be a bit of support from them, however there is no past that could offer guaranteed success which would make the big 6 interested in distributing and supporting the film.

• The film is very low budget and therefore would not appeal to the big 6, also the uncertainty for success does not appeal to them

Independant?• The film is low budget and therefore an

independent production

• Therefore we would be looking for support from companies such as Film 4, Lionsgate etc

• These offer support to small budget independent companies and would as a result be perfect when seeking a distributor for our film.

Aim?

• The aim of the distributor is to get the film into cinemas

• Advertise the film through marketing

• Then when the film is complete they get the film out to the public into the cinemas, it is there aim to sell the film to the cinemas

Markets?• Depending on the scale of a film distributor depends on

the type of audience they would distribute to

• The Big 6 would distribute to a more global tent-pole audience where they could market and distribute on a large scale

• More independant companies such as Film 4 would target smaller audiences such as National or even smaller being a Niche audience.

• This is a result of smaller funding and therefore smaller budget to distribute the product.

Film 4• Film4 was started in 1982 as Film4 Productions, a

film production company owned by Channel Four Television Corporation and has been responsible for backing a large number of films made in the United Kingdom, and around the world.

• Budget of £10 million

• Films such as The Inbetweeners Movie which was the UKs most successful film
