How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary texts?

When devising my horror trailer, magazine front cover and poster I wanted to create a clear link between these media products that the audience will be able to pick up on. The main link between these media products is the colour scheme and the font of my typography that I used throughout my media products. For the my title’s I decided to keep the same Times new roman font and colour in order to keep my media products consistent. I wanted to ensure that the colour red was an integral part of my colour scheme because of the red within my can be seen in the form of blood within my trailer.

I also made sure that I incorporated my tagline throughout my products. My main tagline I cameup with is “Jack is back”. Therefore, I made sure this tagline came up in my film poster and horror trailer. I wanted to ensure that my target audience didn’t miss the tagline I first got two characters to quote the tagline. Then I got put the tagline at the end of my trailer.

Low key lighting is another technique that I made sure that I kept consistent throughout all my media products in order the add the effect of darkness towards my media products. So, that the it disorientates the audience and increases their fear as they are unable to see everything within shot and therefore faced by the unknown

I attempted to keep the typography the same font throughout all my media products. The reason why I chose a Times New Roman font is because from my research in horror productions, especially into slasher horror this font is used for the typography. Therefore, in order to help make my media products look like genuine horror productions.
