As we look forward to 2014, we would like to continue to expandour efforts into Uganda and Kenya, as well as look to otherregions that are also in need of clean water. We invite you topartner with us and help get a sustainable clean water source tothese people in need this next year.

With your help and support, we can make a difference in thesepeoples lives.

This year has been one of incredible growth andcomprehensive project follow up for RainCatcher.

We completed the highest number of newrainwater- harvesting projects we have ever donein a single year, as well as followed up with allexisting projects to ensure they were still

    providing clean water.

Providing this maintenance to existing projects isa critical part of our investment to thesecommunities in need.

    David ZielskiExecutive Director - RainCatcher

In 2012 and 2013 we took great pride in reorganizing our efforts andwere determined to run a charitable organization that not onlyproduced amazing results, but also delivered a sustainable and longlasting solution. Too often we were seeing broken well after broken

well along side the dirt roads of Uganda and Kenya that saddenedour hearts. As an organization, we want to ensure that the rainwaterharvesting continues to serve the community in which this project

    was intended to support.

In 2013, we completed 38 new rainwater-harvesting projects, addingto the 47 projects previously completed in the past four years. Theaddition of the five part system has allowed us to easily scale ourproject output, while simultaneously making sure each project was

well documented and would provide years of worry freeoperation.

As we continue to grow in the coming year, we have developed a five-part project process that we feel will ensure theRainCatcher projects will have the ultimate success.

    OUR PROJECT PROCESS

PRE-ASSESSMENT- Our first step is a very thorough evaluation of the proposed rainwater-harvesting site, checking everything fromrainfall totals in the area, building structures, and overall need for clean water.

FUNDRAISING- Once we have approved projects in place, we commence fundraising. We launch each project on our website andsocial accounts, and introduce them to our donor base.

PROJECT CONSTRUCTION- After funds have been successfully raised, our on the ground country directors in Uganda and Kenyawork closely with our local implementation partners to ensure the project is designed and completed to our exacting standards.

EDUCATION- Once we perform a thorough inspection of the completed project, we educate the local point person on therainwater-harvesting program. RainCatcher delivers clean water filters and provides each school, church or health center a cleanwater demonstration where we stress the importance of filtering drinking water. We supply extra filters to the people in charge sothey can help get them to the families that will need the clean water the most.

MAINTENANCE- Finally, and most importantly, is maintenance of the project. Each location has its GPS coordinates recorded andlocal point person recorded. Each project is visited every six to twelve months to ensure the system is working properly. If the system

is not working, we fix it ourselves or hire the appropriate people to fix it for us.
