BB&T Insurance Services has grown through acquiring high-value agencies that were primarily in the bank’s footprint. As our clients have grown, the probability of their business insurance needs expanding outside the footprint has increased. Accordingly, our acquisition strategy has changed to address the needs of our changing client profile. Further, we have added an operation in Bermuda to assist our clients’ in accessing the growing Bermuda insurance market. Today, BB&T Insurance Services has over 150 locations across the U.S.
