Accounting Specialist, Maintenance Coordinator and Notary Kathy Schoening

Kathy Schoening assumes a new role at the Brandermill Community Associa-tion and will manage accounts receivables and payables, as well as the maintenance work order system. When a resident calls to report a situation, the work order is directed to the maintenance staff to com-plete the work and then a follow-up phone call is made by Schoening. She will also provide free notary services to residents; appointments are requested. Schoening is the staff liaison for the Community Ap-pearance Committee (CAM).

The Brandermill Community Asso-ciation can take in more than 800 checks per week and make $50,000- $60,000 in deposits every other day during a quarterly payment period. Schoening knows only too well what this workload looks like and the time needed to manage it well.

Schoening credits 15 years in the car dealerships managing accounts receiv-ables, accounts payable, title work and collections as preparation for the absolute

attention to detail necessary to handle the work at the BCA. She falls back on her Capital One training in collections to remember how important it is to be help-ful and kind.

Schoening started as a part-time em-ployee at the BCA in January 2015 working in accounts receivables and collections;
