• 30 Twinings staff members seconded onto project (no IS)
• Solution Manager was not included in scope of project
• HCL Axon use their own project management software
• Solution Manager installed simply for CUA and maintenance
• Twinings investigated Solution Manager October 2012 – SM100 training course, strategy, Blueprint phase 1 and system build
• Upgraded Solution Manager to 7.1 SP05 prior to phase 1 build
• Capgemini – Solution Manager Consultant – On-site 3 months to build system

What is Solution Manager
• Central solution for Application Lifecycle Management and operation of software solutions
• Covers all key system implementation areas from implementation and go-live to operations and on-going support
• Combines tools, content and direct access to SAP to increase reliability and stability of solutions and lower TCO
• Lynchpin for cooperation in SAP ecosystem, i.e. cooperation between project teams, SAP partners, consultants and SAP Global Support
• Two systems at Twinings
– TND – Development – DEV, QA, Pre-Prod

• User training July 2013 onwards
• Project Voyager will not use Solution Manager – dual-running with HCL Axon system

Current Developments
• Change Management – Implement General Change Management in Solution Manager
– All SAP and non-SAP changes to IT systems
– Solution Manager Change Management will be implemented for initiating, planning, executing & monitoring all the Change Requirements with complete documentation and a status based workflow will also be configured to meet the needs of various stages of Change lifecycle
– Expected go-live December 2013
– To replace current spread sheet/SharePoint based system for SAP changes and SharePoint Change Management system for non-SAP changes

• Template Management – Used to design company-wide processes – review as part of Voyager
• Test Management – Integration with HP QC for a central view of test results
• Business Process Operations – Provides regular proactive checks to assure data integrity
• Application Incident Management – Possible integration with current Assyst system
• Upgrade Management – When we plan our first upgrade of SAP
