D25RE2 Maintenance

Note: To service your D8R injector you will need the complete seal kit (Part #: 8PJ052) and strap wrench (Part #: TOOL01). Step 1: To begin, unscrew the suction hose nut.

D25RE2 Maintenance

Step 2: Remove the suction hose and set both aside.

Step 3: Using the strap wrench loosen the bell housing.

Proper protection, such as gloves, eye wear, and aprons, are recommended when disassembling a Dosatron.

Service Kit Includes:

8PJ008 Plunger assy

8J026 Injection stem o-ring

PJDI006 Check valve assy

Step 4: Unscrew and remove the bell housing. Set it aside.

Step 5: Grasp the white plastic bridge and pull the piston straight up and out of the body.

Step 6: To replace the plunger assembly, hold the piston firmly. Unscrew the plunger assembly and discard.




Step 7: Thread the new plunger assembly (Part #: 8PJ008) onto the piston hand tight.

Step 8: Carefully insert the piston into the body and press down until it stops.

Step 9: Re-install the bell housing hand tight.




Step 10: Unscrew the injection stem nut about four turns.

Step 11: Then, pull the injection stem assembly straight down.

Step 12: To change the injection stem o-ring, hold the stem firmly. Pinch and roll the o-ring off of the stem and discard.




Step 14: Now, unscrew and remove the check valve nut.

Step 13: Install the new injection stem o-ring (Part #: 8J026) into the groove on the stem.

Step 15: Pull the check valve assembly down and out of the stem and discard.




Step 18: Thread the check valve nut onto the white stem assembly, hand tight.

Step 17: Take the new check valve assembly (Part #: PJDI006) and press into the stem as far as it will go.

Step 16: If the upper portion sticks in the stem, push it out with something like a pen.




Step 20: Make sure the injection scale is aligned with the flow arrow in the body.

Step 19: Push the injection stem assembly into the body.

Step 21: Twist the assembly until it aligns with the threaded black sleeve.




Step 22: Then, make sure the black tabs align with the grooves in the threaded black sleeve and tighten the injection stem nut, hand tight.

Step 23: When properly installed, you will only be able to see one thread showing between the stem and the body.

Step 24: Before installing the suction hose, inspect it. If it flares out, cut an inch or so off and reinstall. Or, if the suction hose is cracked, rigid, or looks really old, just replace it.




Step 25: Now, thread the suction hose nut onto the hose.

Step 26: Slide it onto the barb.

Step 27: Then, hand tighten the nut.
