Deadline to apply for this scholarship is March 31st

The Juarez Chapter Scholarship selection committee will reach a decision by April 15th and a letter will be sent to selected students. The students will be required to attend a special event in Juarez to "officially" receive the scholarship at a date to be determined later. Note: Additional information and free tickets for the student and one companion will be sent closer to the date of the event. 

Eligibility • Currently enrolled at The University of Texas at El Paso• Full-time enrollment (Minimum of 12 hours per semester)• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher • Sophomore or Junior• Must be a graduate from a high school in México

Scholarship Award• One-time $500.00 scholarship awarded for the following Fall semester.

Applications must be delivered to the Office of Scholarships located at the Academic Services Building Room # 202. Applications are available at the Office of Scholarships or online at www.ia.utep.edu/alumni go to Chapters and click on Juárez.

Mailed applications must be postmarked by this date. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications sent via Fax will not be accepted at anytime during the selection process.

Must include the following: • 250 word essay on Career Goals and Objectives, academic achievements, and why

you should be selected for this award • Unofficial transcript• Two letters of recommendation from professors
