China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference (hereinafter abbreviated as “ChinaJoy”) is the most influential annual grand gathering in the global field of digital entertainment. As one of the world’s top three exhibitions in the digital entertainment industry, the IP-revolved ChinaJoy covers games, animation & comic, internet video & music, e-literature, e-sports, intelligent entertainment software and hardware, emerging entertainment industry and other fields of digital entertainment. So far, China-Joy has become a wind indicator of the digital entertainment industry in China and the world at large.
The 16th ChinaJoy of the year 2018 highlighted the exhibition positioning of “new technological power, positive energy of entertainment, and new value of content”. It demonstrated not only the new-type healthy entertainment culture, but also the thriving vigor of China’s digital entertainment industry. Sticking to correct orientations and carrying forward core values, 2018 ChinaJoy aimed at inheriting fine traditional Chinese culture. Based on Chinese characteristics, and to shape its image as an international brand, 2018 ChinaJoy set up BTOC showcase for public audiences and BTOB showcase for professionals. During the same period, the 3rd Global Smart Entertainment Hardware Expo (eSmart) and the 5th Comic & Animation World Amazing Expo(CAWAE) were also organized. Therefore, the whole activity scale covered around 15 halls and 170,000 square meters. In four days, the exhibition attracted 354,500 visits in total, which set a new record high. On August 4th alone, the daily visits reached as high as 133,000, refreshing the historical high of 121,000 visits in 2017. This has also been the day with the highest visits in the history of ChinaJoy.
Successful organization of the 16th ChinaJoy has won extensive recognition and praises from society, industrial sectors, government departments, enterprises participating in the exhibition, business partners, media reporters at home and abroad, and audiences at different levels.
