I started my advertising career here. A place which was growing rapidly and was on a creative rampage. It was full of madness with regard to both, work and the work culture. We had bagged accounts like Zapak.com, MTV andBookmyshow.com, which gave us the liberty to go wild. On the other hand, brands like Fun, Mobilenxt and Top Gear required a subtle approach.

Even as a junior, I managed to get five TVCs to my name. Even as a junior, I managed to get five TVCs to my name. There were many more scripts which were approved, but thanks to the so called “Recession” of 2008-09, they never saw the light of day.

My relationship with ThoughtRains didn’t last for too long. Let’s just say, we were not compatible with each other. None the less, I still consider it worth mentioning for one reason – my Creative Director, Naren. He introduced me to the Art of Simplicity, and since then I have always tried my best to be loyal to it.

My inclination towards TVCs took me to Thoughtshop. My biggest learning at this creative boutique came when I was leading a unique (and a twenty two minute long) AV called ‘Zappo’. It encompassed almost all Parle brands (Biscuits, Snacks and Chocolates) and demanded 3D Animation over a real-time shoot. It was an experience which I will cherish all my life.

It’s been over four fantastic years at Percept now. My personal best so far. And in all these years, I have hadthe privilege to work on some big and exciting projects like the Jetking brand revamp, a pan-India activity for Bank of Baroda, the launch of a few IndianOil lubricants and oils, and property launches for Nahar Group.

Apart from a number of radio spots for Pantaloons and IndianOil, I have also written a TVC jingle for Hero Passion.
