DEVELOPING TEAMWORK SKILLS

Group comprised of one administrative representative and three students (one from each grade level 10, 11, and 12) from each of our High Schools in the District. The focus of the group is to provide advice to the District regarding current educational issues encountered by our students throughout the District and to also build community among all of our High Schools.

Each year we begin with a team building activity and this year we came together at Canada Olympic park. This is followed by three meeting throughout the year. Our first meeting began with Dr. Lucy Miller explaining to the students how the information gathered from the previous year was used. The topics for this year were:

1. Use of photo ID in our schools.

2. Awards, rewards, celebrations, and Honor Roll).

3. Teacher Advisory Role.

The students presenting will be talking about the above three topics.
