High BMI increases risk of cancer.

People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of more than 25, have a higher risk of developing cancer of the breast, uterus, colon, kidney, esophagus, gallbladder, cervix (neck of the uterus), ovary, pancreas, liver, stomach and prostate.

Overweight causes cancer in 14-20% of the cases, 20 percent of the cases of cancer in women and 14 percent in men. This conclusion is based on observation of 900.000 people for 16 years at the American Cancer Society.

Healthy eating is consuming a variety of foods that gives you the nutrition for your body. It signifies that you need to choose the correct quantity of food from all the food groups and attention to what's in your plate.

What is important is not the quantity, but what you eat.
