Area high school softball, baseball schedule for 2020

High school baseball and so� -ball games are scheduled to begin on June 15. All � ve Jasper County high schools are � elding teams in the coronavirus-shortened 2020 season.

Newton, Lynnville-Sully, Col-fax-Mingo, Baxter and Prairie City-Monroe will have games on June 15. � e regular season runs through July 14.

So� ball postseason begins with regionals on July 13 and the state tournament is July 27-31 in Fort Dodge’s Harlan Rogers Park. Base-ball postseason begins July 9 and the state tournament is July 24-Aug. 1 at Principal Park in Des Moines.

Play on the � eld will not be nor-mal for teams. � ere are guidelines and protocols in place because of COVID-19 which players, coach-

es and spectators will need to be mindful of for the season.

Here is a composite schedule for all � ve Jasper County schools. Games were gathered from the four conference websites — Little Hawk-eye, Heart of Iowa, South Iowa Ce-dar League and Iowa Star.
