Happy Feast of Corpus Christi!
Dear Ss. Peter & Paul Parish Family,
Before He gave his Body and Blood on the Cross for the salvation of the whole world, Jesus gave his Body and Blood to his disciples in the form of bread and wine, instructing them to continue this practice in memory of Him.
Jesus provides food and drink to sustain us, taking it one step further by transforming it to his own Body and Blood. As we receive the Holy Eucharist today, in Mass, let us realize the sustenance we are given.
May the Eucharist we share today strengthen and enliven us as we bring Jesus with us to the world.
Jesus tells us in the Gospel today that the food and drink He provides is his Flesh and Blood, previously unknown to be food at all. As we receive the Eucharist today, let us appreciate the sacredness of this True Food.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
How does daily/weekly public celebration of the Holy Mass and reception of the Holy Eucharist make a difference in my life?
Join Us in Our Corpus Christi Procession!
Outdoor Corpus Christi Procession (weather permitting) Follows Mass today. We will exit the building via the “Parking Lot Entrance” and process around the block, stopping several times for Benediction.
After the final Benediction by the Christ Statue (“Lest We Forget”), we will Re-Open the Adoration Chapel. The Chapel will be open until 9pm, and then will close until 9am on Monday. The 7-Days-a-Week schedule from then on will be 9am to 9pm during this first phase of the chapel’s re-opening plan.
Due to personal distance requirements, there can only be 4 people in the adoration chapel at any one time. This needs to be self-monitored & self-enforced if we are to keep the chapel open.
There is a NEW DOOR CODE: Please obtain the code IN PERSON at the Parish Office. You will need to provide your name, mailing address and phone number, when obtaining the code.
Official Letter of Appointment of Fr. José López Vargas:
PRAYER REQUEST: Please continue to pray for me and for Fr. José as we continue preparing for our moves and transitions. My last weekend as pastor will be August 1st and 2nd.
More information to come in the weeks ahead!
Peace, Good, & Blessings! Fr. Tony & Your Parish Staff

La Capilla de Adoración
¡Apertura Este Domingo!
Paz, bien y bendiciones
