Mother’s Day Baby Shower

The Gabriel Project is collecting baby

items. Please help by donating any of the

following items: baby shampoo, baby

wash, lotion, diapers (NB & 1), wipes,

blankets, bottles, diaper bags and

strollers. Cash donations will help to buy cribs, car

seats, and strollers. Please label monetary donations

Gabriel Project and place in the collection basket; drop

off other donations before Mass in the play pen located

in the lobby.

VIRTUS is Now CMG Safe Haven CMGConnect online training replaces the former

Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program. The new program

consists of video presentations, with a criminal background

check at the end of the training. Individuals are now required

to complete all Safe Environment Training online.

All clergy, employees, contracted school personnel, and

volunteers over the age of 18, who work in any capacity with

or around children, the elderly, and adults with special

needs are required to complete the Safe Environment Online

Training. All individuals listed above must submit to a

criminal background check before they may begin

employment or volunteer with ministries, groups, movements, and organizations.

In addition, all individuals listed above must complete the

mandatory online renewal training upon the 5 year anniversary

of the prior training and submit a new background check as a

condition of continued ministry and/or continued employment

in this Archdiocese.

Catechists needed to teach Confirmation (high school

aged kids) and Sacrament Preparation (1st grade)for the

9 AM - 10:30 AM session on Sundays. Please search your

heart and answer Jesus' invitation. If there are not

enough teachers, class sessions will have to be

cancelled. Training will be provided for those

Cuarto Domingo de Pascua 12 de mayo de 2019 “Yo te he puesto como luz de los paganos, para que lleves la salvación hasta los últimos rincones de la tierra”. — Hechos 13:47b

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

El cuarto domingo de Pascua también se conoce como

el domingo del Buen Pastor, donde Jesús nos promete su

cuidado y protección continuos. Él nos dice por qué

podemos confiar en Él: Jesús solamente busca nuestro bien

mientras nos protege de "ladrones y bandidos". Es crucial

que escuchemos la voz de este Buen Pastor y permanezcamos

cerca de él para su protección. Aún más importante, nos

mantenemos cerca de él por la vida abundante que desea

darnos. Una buena pregunta que debemos hacernos es

¿cuáles son los “ladrones y bandidos” que encuentro en mi

vida diaria?

El pastor expresa gran autoridad y responsabilidad.

Cuidar el rebaño significa protegerlo de los ladrones o de

aquellos que pueden causar daño al rebaño. Jesús continúa

cuidándonos hoy, quienes podemos estar sin un pastor, sin

guía, y somos vulnerables a las seducciones y los ataques del

maligno que quiere separarnos de Dios o sacarnos de la mano

del Padre. Jesús se preocupa profundamente y está listo para

dar su vida por las ovejas. Permitamos que nuestro Señor

nos enseñe, nos alimente, nos cure y nos lleve de vuelta al

redil, restaurándonos como sus hijos e hijas.

En este Día de las Madres, reconocemos a nuestras

madres por el amor que han mostrado como una expresión

del amor eterno de Dios por nosotros. Gracias a todas las

madres y que Dios, que eligió dar a conocer la salvación

eterna a través de la maternidad de la Santísima Virgen,

bendiga a cada una de nuestras madres y las tenga a su

cuidado ahora y por siempre. Amén. Que pasen una semana

bendecida.

VIRTUS ahora es CMG Safe Haven La capacitación en línea de CMGConnect reemplaza al

antiguo Programa Arquidiocesano de Ambiente Seguro. El

nuevo programa consiste en presentaciones en video, con una

verificación de antecedentes penales al final de la

capacitación. Ahora se requiere que las personas completen

toda la Capacitación de Ambiente Seguro en línea.

Se requiere que todos los miembros del clero, empleados,

personal escolar contratado y voluntarios mayores de 18 años

que trabajen en cualquier capacidad con o alrededor de

niños, ancianos y adultos con necesidades especiales completen la capacitación en línea para un ambiente seguro.
