St. Anne School Family Newsletter

October  7,  2015  Dear  St.  Anne  Parents,       As  adults,  we  sometimes  assume  that  “No  news,  must  be  good  news.”    That  saying  could  be  true  or  not  true.    Now  that  our  school  year  has  been  up  and  running  since  the  end  of  August,  I  would  like  to  get  some  feedback  from  you,  our  parents,  as  to  how  you  see  the  school  year  unfolding.    We  have  introduced  some  new  programs,  had  some  parent  gatherings,  are  in  the  middle  of  planning  two  important  events,  our  5K  and  Parish  Festival,  etc.    Feedback  is  always  welcomed.    I  have  included  with  this  newsletter,  a  form  call  “Your  Time.”    I  would  appreciate  it  if  you  would  take  a  moment  and  jot  down  your  thoughts  or  impressions  as  we  begin  this  year.    You  can  email  me  your  thoughts  or  print  and  send  me  a  hard  copy.    I  continue  to  believe,  that  working  together,  our  students/your  children  will  be  the  beneficiaries  for  life!    Thank  you  for  your  input.    PARISH  FESTIVAL  –  OCT.  23-­‐25  Parents,  an  update  on  Festival  Milestones!    Be  sure  to  buy  your  discounted  tickets  and  meal  in  advance!    Costume  Contest  Friday  Night!  10/9:  Volunteer  sign  up  due  –  see  Volunteerspot.  10/16:  Meal  pre-­‐orders  due  -­‐  Sat  lunch  ends  at  3pm  not  5pm  as  previously  stated  in  packet.  10/16:  Class  Raffle  Winners  announced  K  and  1st  are  currently  tied  for  1st  place  with  34  booklets  each.  10/19:  last  day  to  buy  discounted  game  tickets.  ***The  Festival  still  needs  donations    for  prizes  and  the  Silent  Auction!  For  more  info,  please  refer  to  flyers  enclosed.    5K  WALK  –  OCT.  23  5K  Walk-­‐a-­‐thon  Field  trip  permission  forms  are  now  due.  Free  Dress  Coupon  for  all  students  who  turn  in  donations  by  October  16.  Top  5  families  receive  5  hours  of  volunteer  credit  who  turn  in  the  most  donations.  All  5K  Walk  volunteer  spots  are  FULL.

Junior Great Books

Do you love reading? Would you like to have an opportunity to interact with St. Anne students in an exciting, small group atmosphere?

Every year St. Anne’s hosts a Junior Great Books program for third to fifth graders.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share your love of reading and literature with some of our wonderful young minds!
