Thomas Jefferson
During his formative years, young Thomas was raised and home
schooled by his mother who was Presbyterian and his Father who was
Catholic. A product of a mixed marriage it is said that he was never a
church goer ( not unusual in the frontier where churches were few and
far between), but in his later years he did attend and received
communion. He said that his Father was the “ light I set my compass to.”
His parents struggle to educate Thomas got some things wrong but many
things right; most especially that FREEDOM is the belly of AMERICA
and God no matter how you slice it —-was, is, and will be the heartbeat!
