P. Olmes Milani CS

LET US START WORKING In the Gospel of Mark 1: 14-20, we see Jesus Christ busy forming a group of people to involve them in the forma on of the Kingdom of God. He chose a small group of twelve men, who lived and worked far from the center of poli cal and religious power of Jerusalem. It was a bunch of simple people from the north of the country. Among them some were revolu onaries and some public sinners as the tax collectors were known. Jesus associated them with Himself, walked with them, taught them with pa ence and love and yet he had to forgive their betrayals, denials and correct the wrong interpreta ons they made of him. So, with those twelve difficult men, he laid the founda on for God's Kingdom. The ques ons that arise among us are: what Kingdom is this? What is it for? We find the answers in the teachings and preaching of Jesus. He wanted to establish the Kingdom of God on earth that is open to all peoples following God's commandments. Our mission as Chris ans is to commit ourselves to the con nuous construc on of this Kingdom of peace, love, and jus ce. Have a beau ful week with the grace of God. Fr. Olmes Milani CS
